I, the Destined Villain, Will Win Over the Female Lead Right from the Start

53: Chapter 53 Your daughter, I’ve taken her away. The Yun Family, Tea Pavilion.

The architecture of the Yun Family was primarily in the ancient style. Yun Yan brewed three cups of tea with somewhat rusty movements, then sat down and spoke.

”I haven’t brewed tea in a few years, so please forgive me.”

”Your Family is quite particular.”

A trace of loneliness flashed in the depths of Yun Yan’s eyes. ”Ever since Mom left, this place hasn’t been a home anymore.”

Right then, Yun Guangzong walked in, that fake smile still plastered on his face. ”I wonder what business brings Mr. Qin to the Yun Family? As far as I know, our Yun Family and the Qin Family don’t seem to have any collaborations!”

Qin Yun took a sip of tea, then set the teacup down and said softly,

”I need a batch of medicinal herbs, so I want to use the Yun Family’s channels to procure them. I wonder if the Young Master Yun can help me solve this problem.”

Yun Guangzong’s eyes narrowed, and then the smile on his face grew even wider. ”And here I thought it was something major! It’s just medicinal herbs. Whatever Young Master Qin wants, as long as the Yun Family has it, I will certainly offer it with all my strength.”

Qin Yun sighed softly, then pulled a slip of paper from his pocket and handed it over. After just one look, the smile on Yun Guangzong’s face gradually froze, and the corners of his mouth twitched several times.

”Five hundred Blood Spirit Flowers, five hundred Bone-Growing Grass, thirty catties of Nine-Fragrance Wood, five hundred Verdant Vine Fruits, five hundred Ice-Thorn Grass stalks... This, this...”

Just from that one glance, Yun Guangzong was so terrified his face turned pale, and his legs nearly failed to hold him up.

Yun Yan looked at Qin Yun in confusion, and Yang Ruobing even inquired, ”President Qin, these... the names of these herbs, why haven’t I heard of them?”

Yang Ruobing had thought Qin Yun was just here to procure herbs like ginseng, snow lotus, and lingzhi! But she hadn’t even heard of the medicinal herb names Yun Guangzong had just read out.

Yun Yan was the same, and she even asked in a joking tone, ”Mr. Qin, are you sure what you’re procuring are medicinal herbs? Do these... do these herbs really exist? I’ve never heard of them before.”

Qin Yun gave a flat smile and pointed casually at Yun Guangzong’s cheek. ”You can tell just by looking at his expression. Young Master Yun, your Yun Family should be able to provide this batch of herbs, right?”

Qin Yun spoke somewhat nonchalantly, but cold sweat was already dripping from Yun Guangzong’s forehead.

Ever since entering the Yun Family, Qin Yun had maintained a faint smile. However, only Yun Guangzong could feel the heavy psychological pressure he had to bear behind that smile.

”Sorry, Young Master Qin, I... I’ve never heard of these med—”

”Young Master Yun, are you sure? I happen to know a few things about the Yun Family. I’ve come here with money to do a deal with you. What? I have the money, you have the medicine! If you won’t sell to me, are you looking down on me?”

Yun Guangzong’s breathing became rapid. He could not imagine that the person before him was the Dandy villainous youth whose reputation had spread throughout Jiangcheng’s high society.

This kind of oppressive feeling... even the big figures he met with for handovers had never made him feel this way!

”No, no, it’s just... the sales channels for these kinds of herbs have already been set. And... and the selling party is managed by my old man. It was stipulated back then that we couldn’t sell these herbs to anyone else! Young Master Qin, in the entire Yun Family, only the Old Master can make the decision on this. How about you sit for a while, and I’ll invite him out so you can chat?”

Yun Guangzong wiped the sweat from his forehead. He didn’t know why, but just now, when Qin Yun gave him a slight glance, the hairs on his body stood on end, as if it were an instinct carved into the depths of his Soul.

The fear of a sheep being stared down by a wolf was impossible to eliminate. The moment he looked at him, he couldn’t help but be afraid.

Right now, he didn’t want anything else; he only wanted to leave this place quickly and pull his old man out to face him. Otherwise, he really wouldn’t be able to hold out.

”Oh, then I shall quietly await the arrival of Old Mr. Yun!”

Upon hearing this, Yun Guangzong immediately fled without looking back. Yun Yan found the scene unbelievable. ”What exactly did you do? He’s so terrified of you it’s uncanny.”

Qin Yun smiled. ”Maybe it’s because he saw how handsome I am and didn’t want to be the green leaf acting as my foil?”

”Hmph, vain.”

Yun Yan gave a cold snort, while Yang Ruobing, who was off to the side, began analyzing the conversation from just now, seemingly having thought of something.

”President Qin, the partner he mentioned just now... could it be the power behind the Yun Family? I’ve researched the history of the Yun Family’s development. About twenty years ago, the Yun Family’s capital chain broke and they nearly went bankrupt. But for some unknown reason, a capital gap as high as several billion was actually filled. So I suspect the Family behind the Yun Family... should have quite a lot of momentum.”

Hearing this, Qin Yun gently patted her head. ”Mm, very smart. It was indeed right to bring you out to see the world. So, Miss Yun, do you know about this power behind the Yun Family?”

At this moment, Yun Yan was dazed. She had been away from the Yun Family for several years, and she had never managed the Yun Family’s business. She only knew that the Yun Family seemed to have a long-term partner, but she was completely ignorant of that partner’s information.

After a good while, an old man in his fifties walked over slowly. His steps were steady and his expression was resolute. The moment he saw Yun Yan, a few traces of anger flashed in his eyes.

”Hmph, after all these years, you’ve returned for this Dandy of the Qin Family? Is this how I raised you since you were a child?”

Upon hearing this, Yun Yan immediately covered her ears. ”I’m not listening, I’m not listening! It’s just a tortoise chanting sutras.”

”You... Yun Yan, you must remember that you are a member of the Yun Family! You’ve caused enough trouble outside these years. That company of yours has a market value of 1.2 billion at most. There’s less than a year left; how long are you going to keep acting up?”

”Old Fogey, didn’t you know? President Qin injected 800 million into my company. Do you understand? This lady has risen again!”

Since the Yun Family didn’t treat her as Family anyway, why should she pretend to be a good girl or a well-bred Young Miss? She went straight to tearing into him.

”You... you weren’t like this before. Is it you! Kid from the Qin Family, is Yun Yan becoming like this your fault!!!”

Qin Yun took another sip of tea, as if the scene of this father and daughter tearing into each other couldn’t affect him at all.

”I say, Head of the Yun Family, you come up and immediately say I’ve corrupted your daughter. Is this the Yun Family’s way of treating guests?”

”Hmph, just a Dandy, what can you do? Unless your father Qin Shucheng were before me, I might show some respect. As for you, you aren’t worthy of speaking in my presence.”

Qin Yun chuckled. ”In that case, regarding the matter of my procuring medicinal herbs...”

”Two words: Impossible!!!”

Qin Yun smiled. ”Since that’s the case, the deal has fallen through. Then, Head of the Yun Family, we shall meet again. As for your daughter... I’m taking her with me.”

As he spoke, Qin Yun placed the teacup on the stone table, then grabbed Yun Yan’s hand with one hand and Yang Ruobing’s with the other, leaving the Yun Family in a grand manner.

Seeing this, Yun Qishan immediately roared, ”Yun Yan, if you leave with him, don’t you ever come back to the Yun Family!”

Yun Yan sneered, ”I couldn’t ask for more.”

Seeing Qin Yun leave without regarding him at all, he was so angry his temples throbbed. ”This rebellious daughter, she doesn’t even care about her own father for the sake of a Dandy. No, she’s latched onto the Qin Family; it’ll be too easy for her broken company’s market value to Breakthrough 3 billion. Guangzong, pass down the orders to start sniping Yun Yan’s company. We can’t let her win the bet! Guangzong, Guangzong!”

Yun Qishan spoke for a while without hearing a response. He then turned and patted his shoulder, only to find him pointing tremblingly at the stone seat where Qin Yun had just been sitting.

”Dad, the stone table... the stone table...”

”What about the stone table?”

As soon as he finished speaking, cracks began to appear on the surface of the stone table, shattering like a fishing net and instantly turning into a pile of rubble.

Seeing this scene, Yun Qishan’s heart was jolted with shock. He was so terrified he nearly sat on the ground. His original thought of secretly retaliating against Qin Yun vanished instantly. Recalling that mysterious smile before he left, Yun Qishan felt a wave of lingering fear.

”Quickly, contact Mr. Tang. Someone has their eyes on the medicinal herbs being sent to the Tang Family. Hurry and have him send Martial Artists here, otherwise the herbs won’t be safe!”
