Reincarnated as a Mosquito, the School Beauty I Sucked to Tears is a Reborn Empress

In the depths of the Chen Family’s Ancient Mansion.

Gu Yuexi was suspended in mid-air, her face pale.

’Damn it! My Mental Power is still too low!’

’If my Mental Power reached the Seventh-Grade and I could command the Power of Heaven and Earth, I could definitely break this spatial restraint!’

The reason Gu Yuexi’s face was so pale was that she had already tried several times to break free from her bonds. Not only had she failed, but she had also exhausted her Mental Power in the process.

’Why did I have to encounter such a powerful enemy so early in this life?!’

Gu Yuexi felt a surge of indignation.

The cause of all this traced back to the fight over the Spiritual Crystal.

’Was it because I killed Chen Ming that the Chen Family performed a sacrificial ritual to summon an Alien Race?’

’No!’

’Looking at it now, it was no coincidence that Chen Ming found the Spiritual Crystal. It was likely related to the Alien Race as well.’

’The Chen Family, in their bid to restore their former glory, probably started communicating with the Alien Race long ago.’

’So, no matter how I look at it, I wasn’t wrong to kill Chen Ming.’

’Chen Ming deserved to die, and so does the rest of the Chen Family!’

Gu Yuexi solidified her conviction.

She wasn’t afraid of this so-called Alien Race Evil God. But right now, less than half a year after her rebirth, she was truly at a loss facing the descent of this Evil God’s avatar.

’Am I out of options?’

’Not necessarily!’

’I... I still have my Contracted Beast!’

’That damned mosquito might have a way!’

At this thought, a sliver of hope surged within her. With great difficulty, she turned her head, catching a glimpse of the similarly bound Chu Sheng out of the corner of her eye.

And then she saw... Chu Sheng, head lowered, looking as if... he had fallen asleep?

”???”

Heh.

Of course, Chu Sheng wasn’t asleep.

Right now, with his eyes closed, he was using his Realm-Breaking Claw, carefully keeping it out of sight while scratching away, bit by bit, at the Spatial Power that bound him.

To be precise, what bound him and Gu Yuexi was actually a sophisticated, small-scale Space Barrier.

And as long as it was a Barrier, the Realm-Breaking Claw could break through its defenses! No matter how strong the Barrier, the Realm-Breaking Claw could scratch it open, little by little.

...

At this moment, Chen Ming had been completely possessed by the Evil God’s avatar.

To be precise, the Chen Family was now utterly annihilated. The price of their entire clan’s death had only bought them a ”fake Chen Ming”—an entity occupying Chen Ming’s body.

And now, the Evil God was ready to abandon even this long-dead and tattered body.

Its gaze swept excitedly over the human and the beast before it. First, it flew in front of Gu Yuexi, sniffing the air twice with a twitch of its nose.

”How unexpectedly fresh and tender!”

”To think that among the lowly Human Race, such a pure vessel could exist!”

”Chen Ming” seemed extremely pleased, a glint of greedy desire flashing in its eyes.

It wasn’t in a hurry, however. It then flew over to Chu Sheng and licked its lips.

”As for you...”

Its scarlet gaze slowly scrutinized every part of Chu Sheng the mosquito, especially his evolved body parts.

It was as if it were admiring a priceless treasure!

”Such a peculiar life form, such a pure and High-Level Energy core...”

”Tsk tsk, even a god such as myself must marvel that this backwater planet could produce a being like you!”

A grotesque, twisted smile spread across Chen Ming’s ugly face, which had been scorched by the Celestial Fire.

”Simply... a perfect container!”

Its gaze darted back and forth between Gu Yuexi and Chu Sheng, as if weighing which of them would be a more suitable new vessel.

Just as it was about to make a decision, it suddenly seemed to sense a massive Energy fluctuation outside the Ancient Mansion and frowned sharply.

”Damn it.”

”What a bunch of annoying flies!”

Perhaps because possession required some time, ”Chen Ming” temporarily gave up on making a move against Chu Sheng and Gu Yuexi.

”The will this current body can carry is insufficient. In that case, I shall...”

”Chen Ming” muttered to itself, trailing off as a sinister smile touched its lips.

With a flicker, it appeared at the center of the sacrificial altar. Then, it threw its arms wide and began to chant an obscure, ancient incantation.

As it chanted, the blood of the Chen Family members, which had been flowing slowly across the altar floor, seemed to boil in an instant!

But that wasn’t all!

The blood from their bodies was continuously drawn out by some unknown force. The viscous liquid, as if alive, bizarrely converged at ”Chen Ming’s” feet, forming a pool of blood.

”Chen Ming” bathed in the pool of blood, closed its eyes, and the incantation came to an abrupt halt.

The next second, an intangible yet immense wave of malevolent will began to spread outward, with the Ancient Mansion as its epicenter.

Before long, the massive ripple of will had covered the entirety of Du Nan City!

In the air, Chu Sheng opened his eyes and snuck a peek at ”Chen Ming.”

’Holy crap, what’s this guy planning now?’

Just then, Gu Yuexi’s whispered voice came from beside him:

”Hey, you damned mosquito, what are you doing?”

”Do you have a plan or not?”

Chu Sheng rolled his eyes at her.

”BUZZ... (What’s the rush? This Lord Mosquito is working on it.)”

”BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ... (Hurry up and recover your Mental Power. You’re going to be good support for this Lord Mosquito in a bit!)”

Gu Yuexi:

”You!”

”...Fine.”

With that, Gu Yuexi gritted her teeth, obediently shut her mouth, and began to focus on recovering her Mental Power.

Meanwhile, Chu Sheng continued to scratch at the spatial confinement Barrier with his Realm-Breaking Claw while pondering:

’That Evil God thing just now... did it want to possess this Lord Mosquito?’

’I’ve never been possessed before. I wonder what it feels like? Can the Divine Path Purifying Flame handle it?’

Chu Sheng still felt a little uncertain. No one would enjoy the feeling of having their body taken over and their consciousness devoured. Especially since this Evil God seemed to be on a pretty high level.

’If I’m not careful and actually get possessed, I’ll be totally screwed.’

...

Inside the Ancient Mansion, Gu Yuexi and Chu Sheng were still trying to figure a way out.

However.

Outside the Ancient Mansion.

All of Du Nan City had been turned upside down!

As the Evil God’s ripple of will continued to spread outward.

In an instant.

Throughout Du Nan City, everyone who had previously suffered a spiritual mutation due to the Spirit Awakening Pill and had been isolated or imprisoned—whether they had been struggling frantically or were catatonically still—suddenly went rigid!

Immediately after, their eyes, which had previously only been bloodshot, were instantly and completely consumed by a scarlet so deep it seemed almost solid!

A chaotic power far beyond their usual limits erupted from within them, allowing them to easily break free from their containment pods or shackles and burst out!

And this was only the beginning!

That malevolent will was like the deadliest of plagues, and those scarlet gazes seemed to be the source of contagion!

Spreading from one to ten, and from ten to a hundred!

On the streets, in rooms, in schools...

Everyone whose Spiritual Realm was below the Fourth-Grade began to undergo a spiritual mutation. Their eyes started to turn scarlet, the color growing deeper and deeper!
