Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 1006: Chapter 798: Brief Reunion

In the Capitol City, the four directions are distinct: east, south, west, and north.

The northern part of the city mostly houses various organizations of the Great Flame Government.

The western part contains noble families and influential figures, including the Xiang Family and others.

The eastern area serves as the economic and commercial center.

To the south, you’ll find the Capitol Capital College and some other regular universities.

The Yan Court family compound is situated to the northwest of the capitol.

Outside the family compound, Su Yuan approached.

Without using Instant Teleportation to enter directly, as such places strictly prohibit the use of Star Power and skills to avoid misunderstandings.

The entire family compound is covered by a Barrier, and there are several Xuanwu Imperial experts, both openly and covertly, on duty.

The chief officer is a Xuanwu Imperial Envoy at the Burning Sun Level.

Only extremely important locations have a Xuanwu Imperial Envoy personally guarding them, and there are no more than ten such places even in the Capitol City.

Seeing Su Yuan approach, a Radiant Moon Level Envoy immediately stepped forward and asked, ”Hello, please show your credentials.”

Su Yuan flashed a Red Jade Pendant of the Vermilion Bird Third Rank.

”So, it’s the Vermilion Bird Third Rank!” The person looked quite surprised at the young Su Yuan, then gave a respectful bow, ”Please come in!”

Su Yuan entered the compound and arrived at the stand-alone house allocated to his parents, only to find they weren’t home.

He took out the key to enter and glanced around at the traces in the house, like scattered documents and fruit residue, making him chuckle.

”Still can’t sit still, huh...”

He took a look at the time; it was already around three or four in the afternoon.

Su Yuan opened the fridge and saw that it was well-stocked with ingredients.

”Since I’m back, why not cook a meal for my parents.” Su Yuan asked Ruan Ruan on his shoulder, ”Ruan Ruan, what would you like to eat?”

”Everything the Master makes, I want to eat!”

Su Yuan pinched it, smiled, and took out some tomatoes, potatoes, and ribs to the kitchen.

”Master, let me help you!” Ruan Ruan leapt down, transformed into human form, changed into a maid outfit, and started washing and chopping vegetables with Su Yuan...

By dusk, the sound of footsteps came from the hallway as Su Yang and Tang Shiyang returned together.

Tang Shiyang whispered, ”Brother Yang, why is there a smell?”

Su Yang: ”Where is the... hmm? There seems to be some noise at home, could it be a thief got in?”

Tang Shiyang gave him a look: ”Nonsense, where could there be a thief here!”

”That’s true... hmm? There really is someone!” Su Yang was startled, looking toward the door.

Accompanied by footsteps, the door was suddenly opened from inside, and a tall, beautiful blue-haired girl in a maid outfit appeared before the two elders.

”Uncle, Auntie, you’re back!” Ruan Ruan clasped her hands in front and greeted them with a bow.

Su Yang was momentarily stunned: ”You... you are...?”

”Ruan Ruan?” Tang Shiyang immediately recognized, giving Su Yang a slap on the back, ”Brother Yang, this is Ruan Ruan, Little Yuan’s Guardian Beast partner!”

”Oh? It really is...” Su Yang scratched his head, ”Seems she’s grown quite a bit, didn’t recognize her at first...”

Ruan Ruan giggled.

Tang Shiyang quickly asked, ”Ruan Ruan, then where is Little Yuan...”

”Dad, Mom!” At this moment, Su Yuan walked out from the kitchen.

”Little Yuan!!”

Tang Shiyang looked overjoyed, with a faint hint of tears, she dropped the fruits she was holding for Su Yang and rushed to hug Su Yuan...

The next day, early morning, sunlight streamed onto the windowsill.

”Master! Master! Wake up! Wake up!...”

In a daze, Su Yuan opened his eyes, seeing Ruan Ruan standing on the bed, using her transformed little hands to gently push him.

Seemingly wanting to wake him up, yet also appearing hesitant to disturb him...

A bit conflicting, but actually, it was Su Yuan who had instructed Ruan Ruan to wake him punctually.

Su Yuan pinched Ruan Ruan, then sat up, glancing at the time, it was already past eight.

With Su Yuan’s hearing, he could already catch faint sounds coming from the living room.

”Indeed, slept for quite a while...”

Su Yuan originally intended to wake up early to prepare breakfast for his parents.

But the long journey, compounded by fighting Ding Jin right after returning, left him quite weary.

He shook his head, got out of bed, opened the door, and Ruan Ruan hopped along behind him.

Tang Shiyang was in the living room, reviewing teaching materials on the coffee table, while two servings of soy milk and dough sticks were on the dining table.

”Little Yuan, you’re up?”

Su Yuan asked, ”Mom, where’s Dad?”

”He’s busy with his fruit store, he opened a new branch near the southern school these past two days. You’d think since you’re back he could take a couple days off, there’s no shortage of staff there anyway.”

”It’s nice that Dad can maintain his routine, this way is good too.” Su Yuan smiled.

Tang Shiyang put down her materials, got up, and took four boiled eggs from the kitchen, placing them on the table.

”Eat quickly, two eggs each for you.” Tang Shiyang instructed Su Yuan, and with a smile, she pinched Ruan Ruan, ”Ruan Ruan, time for breakfast, yours is there too.”

”Puchi!” Ruan Ruan responded, her form flickering as she transformed back into human form, ”Thank you, Auntie!”

Tang Shiyang, although having seen Ruan Ruan transform multiple times before, still found it quite novel at that moment.

”Ruan Ruan seems to have grown quite a bit this time back...” Her eyes couldn’t help but fall on the girl’s tall figure.

Ruan Ruan munched on the dough stick, giving her chest a pat: ”Mm, thanks to Master raising me this big!”

Tang Shiyang looked at her slightly trembling chest, as if a thought crossed her mind, casting a slightly odd glance.

Su Yuan, hearing Ruan Ruan’s words, and seeing his mother’s eyes...

”It’s because Ruan Ruan broke through to a new Realm this time.” Su Yuan said calmly and matter-of-factly, ”Great progress, so she grew a bit more!”

”Is that so...” Tang Shiyang took another look at Su Yuan, without saying more, ”Eat up quickly.”

...

Morning passed, and Su Yang returned at lunchtime; the family enjoyed another happy meal together.

Su Yuan said, ”Mom, there’s still work at the division, I must be off.”

Though Fang Qingxiao said to depart within three days, it was better to hurry.

”So soon...” Tang Shiyang paused halfway through her sentence, then advised, ”Be very careful on the road!”

Su Yuan smiled, ”Don’t worry, I won’t be away that long this time, it’s just a short trip... By the way, remember to eat the Spirit Fruit and Elixir I left for you.”

”I know.” Tang Shiyang’s eyes showed reluctance mixed with a bit of worry, looking at Ruan Ruan on Su Yuan’s shoulder, ”Ruan Ruan, take good care of Little Yuan for Auntie.”

Ruan Ruan straightened her expression, immediately transformed her hands and raised them high in a pledge, ”Ruan Ruan will definitely protect Master!”

Tang Shiyang pinched her, smiling, ”Good.”

”Mom, I’m off~”

Su Yuan called out, then left with Ruan Ruan...

Outside the Yan Court, He Zheng in a flowing ink robe was already waiting on the side.

”Third Rank Su.” He Zheng gave a slight bow.

Having heard of Su Yuan’s exploits firsthand, and witnessing his skill, He Zheng was reasonably convinced of Su Yuan’s assumption of the Third Rank.

Su Yuan nodded, ”He Imperial Envoy, sorry to keep you waiting.”

”I just arrived a few minutes ago myself...” He inspected Su Yuan, suddenly his eyes narrowed, ”Third Rank Su, it seems there’s been further progress within just one day?”

Su Yuan was somewhat surprised, nodded, ”A little gained, He Imperial Envoy’s perception is sharp indeed.”

”Only a slight Talent to sense things, I can’t really see through the Third Rank’s Cultivation.” He Zheng nodded with a smile.

He Zheng speculated that, likely after he and others departed that day, Fang Qingxiao bestowed Su Yuan with a generous reward.

Su Yuan said no more, raised his hand and in a flash of Silver Light, released a Space Gate over two meters tall.

”Such a skill can be instantly cast, coupled with strong Concealing Breath, truly Perfect Breathing!” He Zheng’s heart constricted a little.

”He Imperial Envoy, shall we go then.”

”Alright!”

The two stepped through the Space Gate, disappearing from the sky over the Capitol City...
