Chapter 230: Chapter 192: Snowflake Imprint

Two days later, Su Yuan and Situ Qingyin climbed to the top of a certain snow mountain.

The biting cold wind blew, mixed with some flying snow.

Su Yuan and Situ Qingyin looked at the huge ancient city that suddenly appeared ahead, taking a deep breath.

“Is that the ancient city?”

It was a city buried in the snow, with blue brick walls and halls that reached the clouds, stretching out as far as the eye could see. One could imagine it was once a heavily fortified city.

However, at this moment, it was silent, cold, and lifeless, with only the white snow dancing ceaselessly day and night.

“It seems to be an empty city?”

“It probably isn’t, just without any ‘people.ʼ”

Even here, Su Yuan could vaguely feel a lot of cold and powerful auras emanating from various places in the city.

It seemed that in addition to the flying snow, there might be something else in this ancient city.

“Let’s go down and take a look.”

“Alright!” Situ Qingyin responded, closely following Su Yuan forward.

Although they didn’t see a city gate, the walls of the ancient city were severely damaged, so Su Yuan and Situ Qingyin easily entered and came to a street.

This seemed to be the outer district of the ancient city, with clusters of short blue brick houses around.

Situ Qingyin observed these houses. “The architectural style is similar to that of our continent thousands of years ago in the south, but there seems to be some differences…”

On the East Continent, the south and north had overall different styles, possibly related to the two great nations, Great Flame and Qiguang, located at the ends of the continent.

“Let’s check inside the houses.”

Su Yuan and Situ Qingyin randomly chose a nearby house and walked in. However, it was empty, with nothing inside, just an empty house.

Su Yuan thought for a moment and said, “Let’s move inward and check other rooms along the way.”

They walked along the street, randomly entering some rooms.

About half an hour later, Su Yuan arrived at one of the short blue brick houses, and before entering, he felt a faint fluctuation of Star Power.

Su Yuan’s heart stirred, and he took a few steps into the house, quickly finding a glistening hexagonal snowflake imprint on a wall.

“Is this… a Star Power Mark?” Situ Qingyin also came up, observing the snowflake-shaped imprint.

Su Yuan nodded. “It should be a Star Power Mark automatically formed under the Secret Realm’s rules.”

This ancient city had fallen for an unknown period. Star Power Marks left by people would have likely eroded with time, so it must have been formed automatically by the Secret Realm’s rules.

Unlike the outer danger zones, the Secret Realm was an independent space embedded in the world of Hailan Star for various reasons, often with its own set of rules, more like a “game instance.”

Now, with the discovery of this snowflake imprint, Su Yuan and Situ Qingyin had finally found a corner of this Secret Realm.

The white snowflake mark before them seemed like a challenge or a trap mechanism.

To explore this Secret Realm, it was necessary to try.

Su Yuan reminded, “Qingyin, be careful.”

“Hmm!” Situ Qingyin also prepared herself.

Su Yuan activated the mark with his Star Power.

White light flashed, and swirling flying snow instantly enveloped Su Yuan. The next moment, he disappeared from sight.

“Su Yuan?!”

Situ Qingyin was startled but quickly calmed down. It seemed Su Yuan had been teleported somewhere.

“With Su Yuan’s strength, there shouldn’t be any problems. Let’s wait.”

Situ Qingyin thought for a moment and then went to the door, cautiously watching her surroundings…

Su Yuan’s vision blurred, and he found himself in a snow-covered space.

“A trial challenge?” Su Yuan looked around, but there was no one in sight. “Then where is the opponent?”

At this moment, a large patch of snowflakes in front of him quickly gathered, transforming into a burly man with a bare upper body and a long spear in a matter of moments.

“Oh, a humanoid Star Beast?… No, it seemed more like a unique life form created under the Secret Realm’s rules.”

Su Yuan observed the burly man across from him. The man’s muscles were well-developed, and his eyes were void of any emotion, exuding an aura of only the Bronze Middle Stage.

After the burly man finished forming, he quickly charged at Su Yuan with his spear.

Su Yuan approached and exchanged several moves with him before breaking his neck.

“The moves are precise and orderly. From the stances, it might be some basic spear technique from ancient times.

But the movements seemed stiff, as if it had no intelligence…”

As Su Yuan pondered, the man’s body turned into numerous flying snowflakes and gradually dissipated.

The hexagonal snowflake reappeared in front of Su Yuan, glowing brightly, then transformed into a cluster of light blue fruits similar to grapes.

“It seems to be some sort of Spirit Fruit…” Su Yuan reached out to catch it.

At this moment, the surrounding space trembled, a force of repulsion emerged, and Su Yuan returned to the previous room.

“Su Yuan, you’re back!” Situ Qingyin exclaimed happily, her gaze quickly falling on the light blue fruit in Su Yuan’s hand. “Frost Grapes?”

Situ Qingyin seemed to recognize it and leaned in for a closer look.

“You know it?”

“Yes, it is a Level One Spirit Fruit that helps to refresh the mind and calm the mood.”

Su Yuan was thoughtful. “It seems that these snowflake marks are one of the keys to this ancient city ruin. As long as you activate the marks and pass the challenges, you can get some items like these Frost Grapes.”
