The Almighty Ring

Once Jiang Fei had sorted out Hua Mulan and the Rosette Knighthood’s positions in the Demon Dragon Fortress, Jiang Fei brought Isabella back to the Demon Flame Fortress. After all, he still needed to submit his quest.

Once they were back in the Demon Flame Fortress, Jiang Fei went directly to the Commander’s Hall. As the information release was due very soon, and the battle between the Light Faction and Dark Faction would commence not long after, the three commanders did not have time to talk to Jiang Fei. Therefore, Jiang Fei did not bother them either. He walked directly toward the Saint of the Light.

“Your highness, I was able to rescue Hua Mulan and some of the female soldiers. The male soldiers were reluctant to follow me to the Demon Flame Fortress, so…” Jiang Fei was suddenly interrupted by the sound of the system notification.

“Ding! You have obtained the Saint’s 5,000 Reputation points!”

When Jiang Fei got close to the Saint, the Blessing of the Dragon God immediately took effect. Before he even completed the quest, he had already received Reputation points.

“I know, you have tried your best!” The Saint smiled at Jiang Fei.

“Ding! Quest completed! Obtained 50,000,000 Experience points, obtained 3,000 gold coins!”

“Ding! Obtained the Saint’s 3,000 Reputation Points!”

“Ding! The Saint has reached the Admire state toward you!”

“Holy crap… Admire already? This is way too easy!” Jiang Fei’s lips curled up. The Romeo Title and the Blessing of the Dragon God gave him female Reputation points as if they were free.

“Respected Explorer, I have yet another request. I am not quite sure if I should say it!” After reaching the Admire state, the Saint was even more polite toward Jiang Fei.

“Go ahead!” Jiang Fei nodded. As his Reputation state had already reached Admire, he would only have to complete one more quest before the chick falls for him.

“Can you find a way to sneak me out?” the Saint asked in a soft voice.

“Do you want to escape?” Jiang Fei asked.

“Yes! After all, this isn’t my home. Moreover, if I stay here, the Luminous Vatican would be very passive. A lot of our soldiers would die in vain,” the Saint said with a sad expression.

“Ding! The Saint has given you a Legendary Hidden Quest: Escaping from Hell! Do you wish to accept?”

“Haih! Alright!” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes. This was nonsense to him. After Jiang Fei saved her from this place, she would fall into the Infatuated state toward him and would follow him back here anyway. It would all be a waste of effort.

“Ding! Quest renewed!”

Quest Name: Escape from Hell! (Legendary)

Quest Objective: Help the Saint to escape from the Demon Flame Fortress and enter the Light Faction’s main base!

Quest Reward: 50,000,000 Experience points, 3,000 gold coins, mysterious equipment.

“Wait here for a while. I will think of a way.” Jiang Fei nodded toward the Saint as he brought Isabella away from the Commander’s Hall.

“I have an idea!” Jiang Fei said to Isabella.

“What is it?” Isabella looked at Jiang Fei confusedly.

“Let’s go and meet your father!” Jiang Fei did not explain further as he excitedly brought Isabella through the Abyssal Gate to the Nephilim King’s Palace.

Due to Jiang Fei’s relationship with Isabella, the two were able to easily meet with the Nephilim King Augustus.

“Hehe, young fellow. Don’t tell me you have already wooed the Saint over!” The Nephilim King Augustus laughed when he saw Jiang Fei.

“Indeed, we’re not too far away…” Jiang Fei laughed along.

“Oh?! Really?!” The Nephilim King was stunned. Although he believed Jiang Fei’s plan would work yesterday, he did not think it would progress so quickly.

“If you’d like, I could make her betray the Light Faction and come over to the Nephilim’s side today. However, I have a better plan!” Jiang Fei laughed as he explained.

“Oh? I’d like to hear you out!” The Nephilim King was surprised.

“Do you think it would be better for the Saint to betray the Light Faction today or when the battle between the Light Faction and the Dark Faction is about to commence?” Jiang Fei asked as he laughed.

“Haha! Great young man! Bella, you have picked the right man!” The Nephilim King Augustus slapped his thighs as he exclaimed. He looked very excited.

Augustus must have been smarter than most to be able to become the Nephilim King. When Jiang Fei explained as such, he immediately understood the plan. If the Saint betrayed the Light Faction today, there were still two more days until the great battle between the Light Faction and the Dark Faction. During this time, the Luminous Vatican could still find a way to salvage the situation. They might even encourage their troops to revenge against their enemy and fight against the Dark Faction with absolute determination.

However, if the Saint betrayed the Light Faction the very moment before the great battle started, the impact on the Luminous Vatican would be way worse. They would not have enough time to recuperate from the shock.

As the battle would have already begun, the Luminous Vatican would not be able to reaffirm their affected believers. By then, the entire Light Faction’s battle power would definitely be weakened significantly. It was an absolute god-sent opportunity for the Dark Faction.

Although the Saint could betray the Light Faction today, and the Dark Faction could initiate the war right away, there was a voice in Augustus’ head telling him that the battle must occur two days later. It could not be any earlier or later. Augustus could not understand why, but he could not go against this will.

If Jiang Fei were to hear the internal struggle in Augustus’ mind, he would understand that this was the system’s limitation due to the information release the day after tomorrow. The battle between the Light Faction and the Dark Faction must occur the day after tomorrow as the system’s rules could not be overridden by neither the Nephilim King nor the Divine Light God.

After deciding on the strategy with the Nephilim King, Jiang Fei and Isabella returned to the Demon Flame Fortress. The Nephilim King had already arranged for people to prepare for the attack against the Luminous Vatican.

With the Nephilim King’s agreement, Jiang Fei could now take the Saint away from the Demon Flame Fortress at any point of time. Therefore, the quest was no longer a challenge for him. Once the information release occurred the day after tomorrow, he would bring the Saint on a ride in the sky. By then, the Saint would definitely become Infatuated with Jiang Fei and he would be able to complete the Impossible Quest from the Nephilim King.

“Holy sh*t! When did quests that involve flirting become this easy? The rewards are great too!” Jiang Fei mumbled to himself. Although he felt all of this was slightly abnormal, he did not suspect that all of this was controlled by humans.

As the Saint’s quest was not urgent, Jiang Fei had time on his hands to do other things. He suddenly recalled that there was a secret dungeon he had not completed in Dawnlight City.

When he was still Level 40, Jiang Fei had acquired the Fourth Saint Beast’s equipment set recipe and the Lightbringer’s Armaments from the Tomb of the Prince. These equipment were still the strongest equipment sets for the elite members of the Empyreal Dragon. However, they had also discovered Prince Wu Geng’s coffin. Opening it would activate a Level 60 main storyline quest. Jiang Fei did not dare to open it because his level was far too low back then.

However, Jiang Fei was now Level 69. Once the battle between the Light Faction and the Dark Faction started the day after tomorrow, and after he wooed the Saint over, the 3,000,000,000 Experience points he earned from the Impossible Quest would allow him to reach at least Level 75. Therefore, Jiang Fei decided to try out the Level 60 main storyline quest now.

As such, since Jiang Fei had nothing else to do, he brought Isabella back to Dawnlight City. He did not bring Sylphy again mainly because she and Hua Mulan were the same. They still had limited attributes which meant they could not enter maps like dungeons with players.
