The Almighty Ring

“Ding! You have eliminated the Elven Aristocrat Karvis! Obtained 3,850,000 Experience Points. Obtained 600 gold coins!”

“Ding! As you have killed an Elven Aristocrat, the elves now treat you as a wanted person! If you appear within the vision of elven NPCs outside neutral cities, the elven NPCs will immediately hunt you down!”

*Sigh* “I’ve really offended the elves!” Jiang Fei sighed.

Jiang Fei was glad that her resurrection ritual had not been affected by the battle just now. At that moment, the effects of Jiang Fei’s Demon Morph finally wore off.

“Four hours cooldown… tsk tsk…” Having used Demon Morph once, Jiang Fei now knew just how powerful it was. He could only dream of remaining in his transformed Nephilim form forever. Such power!

“Let’s see what you dropped, old boy!”

He walked towards Karvis. There was no trace of that Elf left. He had been completely disintegrated.

In his place was a golden orb of light.

The best thing that a Leader boss could drop was Legendary equipment. Jiang Fei’s Luck was extremely high, so he would get the best pieces out of everything in the boss’s drop list almost every time. As Golden equipment appeared almost every single time, he was already used to it.

Other players could spend half a day killing a Leader boss and only get Violet equipment. If they could obtain Golden equipment, it would be the same as welcoming a New Year — something worth celebrating!

Elven Aristocrat Medal (Decoration, Legendary)

Magic Attack +320

Intelligence: +35

Vitality: +20

Magic Critical: +5%

Equip: Increases your Magic Damage by 15%!

Equip: Allows you to acquire the skill – Mana Crystal. Immediately restores 40% of your Mana Points! Cooldown: 10 minutes.

Level Requirement: 50

*Sigh* “Good stuff, but the level requirement is too high. Another waste of inventory space!” Jiang Fei sighed. This thing was definitely an Ascended Equipment for Magicians. Instant recovery of Mana Points was perfect for Magicians. However, the level requirement was just too high. No one could use it for now!

Aristocrat’s Jewelry Box (Miscellaneous, Epic)

Remarks: Valuable pieces of jewelry, any elven merchant will be willing to pay a high price to purchase this box of jewelry!

Selling Price: 4,000 gold coins!

“Hoho, this thing is pretty good, but I’m gonna have to let someone else sell it for me…” Jiang Fei was happy. Now, he was truly short of money. Smart Tomato had taken the last of his wealth. This box of jewels could grant him some breathing room. However, as he was now enemies with the elves, he would never be able to trade with them himself. Apparently, he would have to ask Rosette Rose or Zhao Feng for help.

The Leader boss Karvis did not drop anything else besides the two items. But Jiang Fei was more concerned with the Quest over anything else. These fallen bosses were just additional bonuses for him.

“Ah!”

Just as Jiang Fei was finished looting, he heard a scream!

*Pitter-patter*

After the scream, there was a series of chaotic footsteps, and Jiang Fei’s heart sank! Shortly thereafter, Jiang Fei saw a massive number of elven and human troops!

“Karvis!” Dycellar immediately saw the charred remains of Karvis.

“Damned human being, what dirty tricks did you use to kill Karvis!” Aldos bellowed with rage. He was holding a bloody head in his hand. It was not the head of a stranger, but the head of William, the Blood Bat Commander!

“I’m done for!” Jiang Fei lost all hope. He had no expected William to fall. Moreover, there was absolutely no sign of any of the Dragonoid Guards.

Now, Jiang Fei was the last line of defense standing before Princess Isabella.

“F*cking hell! How does one even complete this shit?” Jiang Fei rolled his eyes. Even if he did not rank first among the players in terms of his equipment and strength, he was pretty darn close. Even so, this quest was kneading him about like Play-doh. There were two Level 60 Lords in front of him, and they were accompanied by a large number of Elite NPCs. He was only a Level 33 player, and he had already used up his Demon Morph. Even if he miraculously morphed again, he stood no chance against them.

“Damned human being! You actually murdered a noble Elven Aristocrat, go to hell!” The raging Dycellar charged at Jiang Fei. She was almost too fast for his eyes to follow.

“Oh f*ck!” Jiang Fei subconsciously lifted his shield.

*Bong*

She was sent back even faster than she had come. Jiang Fei could not even tell what had happened. In the blink of an eye, Dycellar was pushed back into the united army. She went down on all fours, spitting blood.

“Dycellar! Are you okay?” Aldos immediately rushed to Dycellar’s side.

“You okay?” Jiang Fei heard a familiar voice. Only now did he see the Black Dragon Prince Aeneidstrasza standing right before him.

“I’m fine, but I wish I could say the same about our cause!” Jiang Fei said. How Dycellar had been pushed back was no longer a mystery. Although they were both Lords, the level difference between the two of them was 20. Moreover, as a Black Dragon, Aeneidstrasza had inherent abilities that gave him great power. Dycellar was nothing against Aeneidstrasza!

“Holy Light! Heal!” A white light flashed, and Famoss finally made his appearance. He raised his hand to cast holy light, which instantly healed Dycellar. Then, he turned to Aeneidstrasza said in a calm, almost soothing voice. “Your Royal Highness, we have reached a certain point now. You’ve already tried your best, but it had been for naught. Why do you persist?”

“Hmph! As long as I’m still alive, don’t even think about hurting Bella!” Although Aeneidstrasza sounded firm, he had a worried frown on his face. They might not be able to overwhelm him, but he sure as hell can’t stop this wave. Moreover, Jiang Fei had expended all his power and was now as good as useless.

“Hoho, are we in a cutscene? Might as well enjoy the show!”

Jiang Fei shrugged. His hands were tied.

“Archbishop, since this evil dragon is being so stubborn, we’ll just kill him on the spot!” Keen on taking her revenge after being wounded by the Prince, Dycellar snarled at him.

“Hmm…” Famoss fell silent. Although he did not want to kill the Black Dragon Prince and end up having the Black Naga Race align themselves with the Nephilims, they had to stop the resurrection of the Nephilim Princess. If Aeneidstrasza insisted on blocking the way, they would have to press on.
