Chapter 1170: What’s the purpose of your life ?

“Wait… You have been observing me from that long ? I wasn’t even that strong before, how did you know that I will become a Demi-God in future ?” Anon asked with a confused expression.

“It’s all too complicated for you understand right now, even I get confused in all that but I was raised to fight you, that’s all you need to know.

But, you know what ? I have done something even greater. I have captured you and that too in the body of an arcknit demon.

You see, I had some help from some upper figures and used a very very forbidden demonic spell to forcefully summon your soul here, I had to give up a major part of my magical powers to do that but now It’s all worth it because I have Anon Agriel in captivity.” Douglas spoke with a smile.

“So much blabbering and you didn’t even answered the question, ‘Why not just kill me ?’ and if you are going to tell some stupid story again, don’t speak.” Anon asked with a neutral expression.

“The urge to kill you is boiling inside me and your words are just making it worse, but I won’t kill you because if you died your soul that I sacrificed so much to get into that body will just return back to it’s original body.” Douglas spoke with an angry expression.

“And… What’s stopping me from dying on my own ?” Anon asked.

“Didn’t I just tell you ? You are inside the body of an arcknit demon. The body of an arcknit demon is almost impossible to kill, even if I cutted off that head of yours from that body, you will still live for twenty to forty years. They are something of a joke on the name of creation, born with such weak but almost immortal bodies. That’s why they went extinct years ago, but I found one after searching in every single corner of hell.

So committing suicide is nearly impossible. Oh and don’t even try it because the pain is real, this guy was crying like hell when I cutted off his leg.

I thought you will be crying the same but you are working very good with the pain. Is that why you became so powerful ?” Douglas asked with a smile.

Anon didn’t reply and continued to stare at him with a neutral expression on his face.

“What ? Aren’t you going to say something ? Appreciate the greatness of my plan now and I may show mercy on you for what’s about to come next.” Douglas asked with a smile.

“What’s about to come next ?” Anon asked with a neutral expression.

“Hah… as expected, your ego is too big just like they say.” Douglas spoke as he immediately stood up from the chair and snapped his fingers together.

*Zzzzzzzzz*

Suddenly the floor started shaking.

*Crack-Crack-Crack*

Suddenly a thick rectangular slab was carved out of the ground on it’s own and started floating in the air.

Anon looked at the slab with a serious expression.

‘He is planning to bury me alive… I need to get out of here immediately.’ Anon thought with a serious expression.

“Well, looks like from your expression you already know what’s about to happen next, right ?” Douglas asked with a smile.

“Weren’t you raised just to fight and kill me ?” Anon asked with a smile as he looked at him.

“That’s true.” Douglas replied with a neutral expression as he looked at him.

“Then if you are just going to bury me alive, what’s the point of your life ?” Anon asked with a smile.

“What ?” Douglas asked with a confused expression.

“I mean you were born to-“

“I know that already, don’t try to buy yourself time. No one is coming to save you, speak what you really want to speak.” Douglas spoke with a serious expression.

“Very well… What will happen once you bury me alive ? You will go out and do what ? Get back to training to fight me ?” Anon asked with a smile.

“What ? Why would I train again ? I have you captured. I will just go out and-” Suddenly Douglas stopped speaking as something hit his mind.

He had no purpose in life.

“I am assuming you haven’t told anyone about me and you can’t tell anyone about me because it’s against the rules for divine beings to interfere with the Holy land.

Two Demi-Gods came to meet me once but they didn’t engage in combat with me because they were on holy land and you have summoned my soul into this body without asking your gods, what do you think will happen once they find out that my presence has been dissapeared from the holy land ?

Even if your gods didn’t notice, the Demon gods will notice and once they find out…” Anon spoke with a smile.

Douglas didn’t speak anything as he started thinking with a serious expression.

‘Haa… Avatars, so stupid. They are prepared to fight and raised for battlefield pressure, but what about the mental pressure.

There is no point of having intelligence if you can be manipulated by mere pressure.’ Anon thought with a smile as he looked at Douglas.

“You know what ? I don’t care.” Douglas spoke with a neutral expression as he looked at Anon.

‘What ?’ He thought with a serious expression.

“You think I don’t know what you are doing ? You are trying to play games with my mind and trying to manipulate me into letting you go, aren’t you ?” Douglas asked with a smile as he looked at him.

“I was just giving you a glance into the future…” Anon replied with a neutral expression.

“I have stopped listening to prophecies, time to get buried alive.” Douglas spoke as he immediately pointed his fingers towards Anon and his body started floating.

‘Fuck…’ Anon cursed in his mind as he kept his expressions neutral.

His body floated inside the hole that was created by the removal of the slab.

*Thud*

“Any last words before you get buried down for centuries to come ?” Douglas asked with a smile.

“Heh… The day I come out, you will be-“

“Not interested.” Douglas spoke with a smile as he immediately let go of the slab.

*THUD*
