Strongest Necromancer System

[The subordinate has reached the required Hierarchy Progression for an upgrade. There is a sufficient number of upgrade points; therefore, the system will automatically carry out the Upgrade.]

A bright light suddenly enveloped Ragnar in the middle of his attack, and the Soverign was shocked when he realised that Ragnar’s power was growing again! What in the world was this!? This wasn’t normal! No creature should be capable of experiencing such rapid growth in only one fight! The light dimmed down, and the Soverign felt his shock increase even more when he saw the changes that Ragnar had gone through! Ragnar had grown larger and sturdier, and his body was so big that he was almost half as large as an adult dragon! His claws and fangs were also larger, and there was an intense aura that surrounded his body now! But the biggest change that the Soverign noticed was in Ragnar’s mana! It wasn’t like anything the Sovereign had ever felt before! Even the Soverign himself didn’t have mana that was this dense!

ROARRR!

Ragnar roared as he charged up his dragonbreath and immediately shot it towards the Soverign without giving him a moment’s rest, and the Soverign realised in shock that something had happened with Ragnar! The previous attacks that Ragnar unleashed were powerful, but they were nowhere as powerful as this, and the Soverign knew that he needed to block this attack no matter what! For the first time in his life, the Soverign felt like he was truly going to die if he took an attack head-on! The Soverign quickly brought his sword up as he activated [Emberstorm], and he swung it towards Ragnar to counter his attack, but just before the attack could land, Ragnar suddenly vanished!

[King’s Substitute]!

At that moment, multiple things happened all at the same time! The Soverign’s attack, which had been aimed at Ragnar, missed by a wide margin due to the sudden disappearance, and the Soverign’s eyes widened in both shock and dread as he saw a dead man standing in front of him! The Soverign had already convinced himself that he killed Jason! He had seen Jason die! So how in the world was he standing right in front of him once again? And how was he so much stronger than before!? Jason’s power had skyrocketed after Ragnar’s upgrade, so Jason was now at a level where he didn’t have to fear anything from the Soverign at all! And Jason knew that he had enough power to finally kill this bastard!

Jason was in a crouched position with his sword pulled back, and his face was set in a look of pure concentration! Even though he was stronger, Jason knew that he would only get one clean shot without the Sovereign being able to block at all, and Jason wasn’t going to let that shot go to waste! Jason gathered every ounce of strength he had and he used all of it to thrust the sword up towards the Sovereign’s heart! The Soverign was already in a bad position, and Jason’s movement had only taken a split second, so there was no way the Soverign could block the attack, but Jason still kept his focus sharp since he knew that anything could happen with magic! There could be a defensive artefact used by the Soverign for moments like these, or the Soverign could have been hiding more strength all this time, but it turns out that Jason was wrong. The Soverign didn’t use defensive artefacts because he believed they were beneath him, and there was no strength left for the Soverign to pull from! He had exhausted all his power! The Sovereign grit his teeth with a curse as the [Death’s Mirage] stabbed into his chest!

SQUELCH!

The Soverign coughed out a wad of blood as he was impaled into the wall behind him, and Jason pressed the sword deeper into the Soverign’s chest as the Soverign grabbed Jason’s shoulder angrily! There was rot spreading across the Soverign’s body already, and the Soverign spoke in a raspy tone as he glared into Jason’s soul.

”What sort of creature are you?”

Jason could see the confusion and anger in the Sovereign’s eyes when he said those words. The Soverign had been completely outclassed in this fight due to the various skills that Jason used on him, so it wasn’t surprising that the Soverign was confused about what Jason really was. But Jason had no need to explain himself to the Soverign. After all, what was the point in explaining anything to a dead man? Jason stayed silent, and he watched with narrowed eyes as the light slowly left the man’s eyes, and it wasn’t long before the Soverign slouched on Jason’s sword and died.

ROARRRR!!

A loud roar echoed from somewhere behind Jason, and Jason turned around to see that it was the Sovereign’s dragon. The Sovereign’s dragon had finally killed the Rook Rank III dragon subordinate it had been fighting, and it felt great anger in its heart when it saw that Jaosn had killed its master! The Sovereign’s dragon unleashed a massive blast of fire towards Jason in anger, and the blast slammed into the castle with the force of a nuclear bomb!

KA-BOOM!

The entire castle imploded from the impact, and anyone who saw it would easily believe that nothing had survived such a blast! But a calm voice suddenly spoke up from within the flames.

”Resurrect.”

A tremor travelled across the kingdom of Radagan.
