The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Upon hearing those blunt words, Leina’s and Glarvic’s faces darkened.

Yet this time, Glarvic did not erupt as he normally would. He remained composed and ordered, ”Leina, prepare the contract.”

Leina nodded slowly and left the parlor. A short while later, she returned, carrying a stack of papers in both hands.

”Here is the contract, Your Majesty,” she said respectfully, setting it on the table.

Glarvic took it, skimmed through it, and then handed it to Nolan.

”Here is the contract, Prince Nolan. Please read it first.”

As Nolan reached for it, Sylvia’s voice cut through the tension.

”Wait! I have something to ask, Prince Nolan!”

Nolan, Sharon, Cassiopeia, and Draco were taken aback and instinctively turned to look at her.

Glarvic remained calm, his eyes fixed on Sylvia with quiet curiosity.

”What is it you wish to say, Tower Master Sylvia?” Nolan asked, a playful smile tugging at his lips.

Nolan’s smile irritated Sylvia. Still, she steadied herself and spoke in a cold, measured tone. ”I want to ask about the white dragon. How could you have killed it? I fought it, and I can testify that it was not you who killed it, but the Singularity of Chaos.”

Cassiopeia and Draco were stunned. They had been sure they were the ones who had slain the dragon.

But why did Sylvia mention the Singularity of Chaos?

Cassiopeia opened her mouth to speak, but Nolan raised his right hand, stopping her.

”I don’t get it, Tower Master. Can you explain?” He fixed her with a wide-eyed, innocent expression.

Sylvia took a deep breath and began to explain everything.

When they heard her words, everyone was stunned—except Nolan, of course.

”The Singularity of Chaos?” Cassiopeia swallowed hard. ”But how is that possible? It was clearly Draco and I who defeated it.”

Yet it was impossible for Sylvia to lie about something of this magnitude.

Draco looked just as confused, but he remained silent, as if digesting her words in his own mind.

”The Singularity of Chaos, huh?” Nolan nodded slightly. ”Tower Master, I don’t doubt your words. You are indeed a figure of great power, renowned throughout the world. But about this...”

Nolan leaned back on the sofa, crossed his legs, and propped his chin on his right hand.

”I’m sorry, I just can’t believe it.”

Those words struck like a hammer, silencing everyone in the parlor.

Sylvia, above all, felt her anger simmering beneath the surface.

Her chest heaved with each breath, as if her fury might erupt at any moment.

”Prince, watch your words,” Glarvic warned in a low tone.

He could not allow Sylvia to harm Nolan in his kingdom.

If she did, the Great Velmora Empire might take offense and send their fleet to invade. Instead of being saved, he and his kingdom would surely face destruction.

”No, Your Majesty, I’m not wrong. I just want to be certain,” Nolan said casually. ”Tower Master, you said the Singularity of Chaos killed it, right? Then show us the proof. That would make everything clear, wouldn’t it?”

A playful glint sparkled in his purple eyes.

Sylvia felt her words catch in her throat.

Proof? How could she possibly show it?

After all, the Singularity of Chaos himself had claimed to have defeated the creature, and Sylvia believed him.

The monster had reached catastrophe-level power, and only someone as formidable as the Singularity of Chaos could have slain it.

Composing herself, she looked at Nolan with a cold, indifferent gaze. ”I don’t have physical proof. But don’t forget—the monster had reached catastrophe level. Do you really think the two Celestial Mages you brought could have defeated it?”

Her words made her previous statement even more convincing.

Jisha and Olivia had complete trust in their master. They had also been present at the battle and witnessed firsthand the monster’s overwhelming power.

”Tower Master, evidence has to be tangible, not just words,” Nolan said with a long sigh. ”You claim the monster reached catastrophe level—fine, let’s accept that. But that doesn’t mean my two Celestial Mages couldn’t defeat it, does it? You fought it alone, while they fought together. By that logic, I could do it too. Maybe the monster weakened after facing you, which allowed Cassiopeia and Draco to overcome it. What do you think?”

Sylvia felt her throat tighten. She hadn’t expected Nolan to dismantle her argument so eloquently.

If she insisted without proof, it would make her look foolish.

But giving up wasn’t an option.

With a cold expression, she stared at Nolan. ”Then you have to prove it too.”

She folded her arms across her ample chest and smiled with quiet pride.

Nolan’s eyes flicked to her chest, and he had to admit—it was undeniably attractive.

”I have proof. Sister, hand them the picture.”

Sharon instantly understood. She retrieved the dragon picture Nolan had given her earlier and showed it to Glarvic and the others.

Everyone froze when they saw it.

”This... this is a picture of the white dragon!” Glarvic exclaimed, astonished.

Now he was completely convinced by Nolan—the dragon had indeed been killed by his side.

Previously, he had sent soldiers to investigate the dragon’s lair, but they had found no trace.

He knew the dragon was dead, yet Sylvia’s sudden appearance and her claim about the Singularity of Chaos had made him doubt.

”How is that possible? How could you have this picture?!” Jisha exclaimed.

”Isn’t that obvious?” Nolan rolled his eyes. ”The picture serves as physical evidence. Mere words wouldn’t convince anyone. Right, Tower Master?”

He glanced at Sylvia, lifting and lowering his eyebrows in playful challenge.

Sylvia: ”...”

For the first time, she truly wanted to punch someone.

’This kid... he’s infuriating...’ she growled, gritting her teeth.

Trying to rein in her anger, she said stubbornly, ”Fine! I can prove it! I can rewind my memory and show you all!”

She pressed her palms together, and a green aura erupted from her body, spreading to fill the entire room.

Cassiopeia and Draco froze, sensing the overwhelming energy.

”This... Beyond the World? How is that possible?” Cassiopeia exclaimed, fear lacing her voice.

Who would have imagined that Sylvia could reach that legendary level?

”Beyond the World?” Sharon stared in disbelief.

She knew of that level from the legends. Her master had once said Sylvia was close but lacked one crucial element—yet now the Tower Master had surpassed even that limit before her own master.

Jisha and Olivia felt a swell of pride as they watched Sylvia display her power.

She had told them before about her growth, so they weren’t entirely surprised.

Even so, witnessing it with their own eyes felt entirely different.

Sylvia manifested her memories into a glowing green sphere and hurled it into the air.

The sphere exploded, instantly forming a wide, floating screen.

Yet, strangely, all that appeared was darkness.

”Where are your memories?” Nolan asked, lifting his eyebrows with a playful glance.

Sylvia: ”...”
