The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Nolan snapped the fingers on his left hand. Instantly, the atmosphere turned gloomy.

The strong sea breeze disappeared, and the seawater became calm.

The change frightened Levi. His instincts told him that if he didn’t run now, his life would be in danger.

Without hesitation, he turned and sprinted away. Yet before he had even covered two hundred meters, his body suddenly froze in place.

His limbs—his hands, feet, and head—became completely immobile.

His eyes widened in fear as he cried out in his heart, What’s happening? Why can’t I move my body?

Panicked and desperate, he tried to break free from the invisible restraints but failed.

Boom!

An explosion sounded above him. Levi jerked in surprise and wanted to see what it was, but he couldn’t.

Slowly, his body was lifted upward at a snail’s pace.

His position also began to change from standing upright to lying on his back.

Eventually, he could see what was pulling him—a black sphere hundreds of meters in size.

A ring of light spun rapidly around it. The air and seawater were being sucked toward it.

”What is that? Why does it have such an incredibly strong suction power?” Levi screamed inwardly, panic flooding him.

Unfortunately, he didn’t know what it was. He lived at the end of the 18th century, when science was still in its infancy.

Of course, he didn’t know what a black hole was.

One thing was certain, though: he was sure he would die if he were sucked into it.

”Argh!” Levi tried desperately to free himself from the invisible force that restrained his body.

The result was the same—futile. His last attack had drained all his strength. It ended in a flop, and he was completely stuck.

In the distance, Nolan stared at Levi, who was desperately trying to free himself from the gravitational pull of his black hole, his expression amused.

”You’re going to die, Levi Crussade. Do you have any last words?” he asked.

He released some of his power, allowing Levi to finally speak.

”Wait, kid! Don’t kill me! I’m sorry! I swear I’ll do anything! Please don’t kill me!”

He didn’t want to die now. His journey was still long, and he hadn’t achieved his ambition of ruling all the oceans in the world.

”Sorry?” Nolan chuckled softly. ”Weren’t you very arrogant before? Didn’t you say you could kill me? Now, where is your arrogance?”

His words stabbed Levi’s ego and pride like knives. Yes, he had said that.

But who would have thought that Nolan was this terrifying?

This man could summon a horrifying object with an unbelievably strong suction power.

If he had known earlier, he would never have dared to challenge him.

”I know I made a mistake, but isn’t that normal? Everyone makes mistakes, including me.”

He continued begging in a desperate tone.

He no longer cared about pride. Surviving was the only thing he wanted now.

If he lost that, then the story he had just begun in this world would vanish without a trace.

”Actually, if you hadn’t been so arrogant from the start, I intended to make you my subordinate. But unfortunately...” Nolan sighed deeply, pretending to be regretful. ”You sought your own death. All right, enough with the pleasantries. Now, die completely.”

Whoosh!

The pull of the black hole grew stronger, and Levi’s body was immediately dragged upward at great speed.

”No!” Levi screamed hysterically, and his figure finally disappeared from view.

The black hole slowly faded away, and the seawater that had been churned up by its appearance returned to its original calm state.

What a fool, he whispered with a mocking smile.

What he had told Levi earlier was a complete lie. He had never intended to make Levi his subordinate.

Not only was that creature cruel and immoral, but he was also unworthy.

At the very least, anyone who wanted to be his subordinate had to possess strength equal to Malverna or Arnold.

But were there many people that strong in this world? Of course not.

”Alright, that weak creature is gone. Now it’s time to wait for the mastermind behind it to come.”

After saying that, Nolan snapped his fingers. A black cloak formed in the air and wrapped around his body.

He floated a little higher, folded his arms in front of his chest, and closed his eyes.

Suddenly...

Bwoosh!

The atmosphere turned gloomy as a strong and chilling gust of wind blew from the west.

The sky, which was already dark, became even darker, as if the light itself had been swallowed.

The sea churned and grew chaotic once more.

Nolan opened his eyes and saw a man floating about sixty meters away from him.

The man was tall and wore a black coat that reached his ankles.

A black hat that pointed upward sat on his head, while a crow-shaped mask covered his face.

His hair was jet black, with some strands dyed dark blue.

When Nolan saw him appear, he wasn’t surprised at all. The man was the one he had been waiting for—Singularity of Death.

”It’s been a long time, Singularity of Chaos,” Singularity of Death greeted casually. ”So, did you know I was coming here?”

His eyes, hidden behind the mask, flashed with meaning.

Nolan remained calm and composed as he replied, ”Isn’t it obvious? I’m waiting for you to explain your actions.”

”An explanation for my actions?” Singularity of Death feigned confusion. ”What do you mean?”

Nolan rolled his eyes. ”There’s no need to pretend. Because of your actions, you’ve caused chaos for sailors around the world. So, how are you going to take responsibility now?”

His tone was cold, heavy with murderous intent.

The Singularity of Death fell silent for a moment. Then he took a slow breath and replied, ”It wasn’t entirely my fault. It was his desire to become eternal that turned him into an undead. And as for everything he has done, that was his own responsibility. You can’t be so unreasonable, Singularity of Chaos.”

What he said was completely true. At that time, he had been casually wandering across the ocean.

Suddenly, he came across Levi’s ship drifting in the middle of the sea.

He approached the ship and met Levi, whose face had already grown incredibly old. Feeling pity, he gave him a chance, and Levi accepted it.

Since then, he had never seen him again, nor had he had any contact with him.

Therefore, he didn’t feel responsible for anything Levi had done.

But did Nolan care? Not at all.

He didn’t even care about Levi turning into an undead or the many victims who had fallen because of his actions.

All he needed was a reason to attack the man in the crow mask in front of him.

”I don’t care,” Nolan remarked casually. ”Alright, now, accept your punishment!”

Whoosh!

His figure vanished and reappeared in front of the Singularity of Death, delivering a punch to his face.

Bang!
