The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

Just like the countries in his previous world, the Great Velmora Empire, the Holy Empire of Valtanir, and several other kingdoms had their own currencies.

Solaris was the official currency of the Holy Empire of Valtanir and was used in various transactions across the empire.

However, Solaris held less value than Sharn—one Sharn was equivalent to two Solaris, meaning four hundred million Solaris amounted to only two hundred million Sharn.

It was a staggering sum, far exceeding the average half-year income of Baron and Viscount families in the Great Velmora Empire.

Naturally, Nolan showed no sign of embarrassment at the mention of such an amount.

Since the Singularity of Light dared to threaten his sister, he had to be prepared to face the consequences.

”What did you say? Four hundred million Solaris?” The Singularity of Light’s eyes widened in horror. But soon, anger twisted his expression as he snapped, ”There’s no way I’m agreeing to that! That’s outrageous—I won’t give you that much!”

Given his high status, acquiring four hundred million Solaris wasn’t difficult.

But handing over such a large sum to Elina Lorian—that was an entirely different matter.

After all, his grandson Adalen and Elina were sworn enemies—rivals competing for the throne.

And winning that fight would require an enormous amount of money and resources.

If he simply gave money to Elina, wouldn’t that mean helping his grandson’s enemy—and rival?

There was no way he would do something so foolish.

As if predicting the answer, Nolan’s Eyes of Chaos flashed with murderous intent.

”All right,” he said coldly. ”If you refuse, then there’s no point in continuing this conversation. We’ll see who survives in the end.”

Boom!

A pitch-black aura erupted from his body, shooting into the sky and triggering a terrifying phenomenon.

Dark clouds surged in from all four cardinal directions, swiftly blanketing a two-hundred-kilometer radius.

Streaks of red, blue, gold, white, and black lightning crackled across the darkened sky.

At the same time, the surrounding space warped violently, as if it could collapse at any moment.

A suffocating pressure surged from below as gravity suddenly increased tenfold.

In the distance, Arnold and Malverna were not spared. Both dropped to their knees in the sand, their faces pale with fear.

”What the hell is this pressure? It’s unreal!” Malverna exclaimed in horror.

She tried to lift her arms—but failed. Even raising her head felt impossible. If she forced it, her neck might snap!

Naturally, the ones who felt it the most were the Singularity of Light and the Singularity of Flame.

Both felt as if their bodies were being dragged to the bottom of a deep ocean.

Although the Singularity of Flame was merely a projection of consciousness, the pressure still affected him—his real body was feeling the strain as well.

”Argh!” the Singularity of Light cried out, clenching both fists in agony.

Boom!

A golden light burst from his body, clashing head-on with Nolan’s overwhelming power.

But before he could unleash more of his strength, the surrounding space abruptly compressed, freezing his movements in place.

His aura vanished. In the blink of an eye, his body was slammed down into the sea below.

The ocean was deep—around six hundred meters—but it took less than ten seconds for him to crash from the sky to the seabed.

”Ugh!” He groaned in pain, struggling to move his arms, but it was no use.

It felt like invisible chains of unbreakable metal had pinned him to the seafloor—he couldn’t even move a single finger.

Damn it! How is he this strong? He screamed inwardly.

This power was beyond reason. But what truly terrified him was the fact that the Singularity of Chaos could wield it so effortlessly.

Whoosh!

The seawater suddenly parted as Nolan, standing high above the surface, pulled an arrow from his black flame bow.

In a voice like thunder, he asked, ”I’ll ask you one more time—are you going to give me the money or not?”

Staring into the cold gaze of Nolan’s Eyes of Chaos, the Singularity of Light felt a chill race down his spine.

He knew the arrow wouldn’t kill him—but the pain it would cause... it would burn his body to ash, and he would feel every second of it.

”Still refusing?” Nolan said darkly. ”Fine. I’ll burn you again and again until you surrender.”

Just as Nolan was about to release the arrow, the Singularity of Light shouted in a panic, ”Wait! I’ll pay!”

Nolan’s hand froze mid-draw, and a faint smile curved the corners of his lips.

”Good,” he said, clapping his hands once.

In an instant, the crushing pressure vanished. The dark, cloud-covered sky slowly returned to normal—peaceful, as if nothing had happened at all.

The Singularity of Light gasped for breath, cold sweat dripping down his forehead and neck.

But suddenly—

Whoosh!

Seawater from both sides crashed into him, sending his body tumbling left and right.

It didn’t last long. Lightning surged around him, wrapping his body in crackling arcs before launching him into the sky—soaked and disheveled.

Looking down at his sorry state, the Singularity of Light clenched his teeth.

He wanted nothing more than to tear Nolan apart—but he held himself back, silently vowing to get revenge one day.

”Alright, where’s the money?” Nolan asked, extending his hand and giving it a casual shake, like a man collecting an overdue debt.

The Singularity of Light took a deep breath, then snapped his fingers.

Snap!

A golden slip of paper materialized in the air. Upon closer inspection, it resembled the check issued by the Red Obsidian Trading House when settling Zarak’s sixteen-million Sharn debt—but this one was far more elegant and luxurious.

Intricate lightning patterns decorated both sides, and the lettering shimmered in radiant gold.

With a flick of his finger, golden letters began to form on the check’s surface.

Moments later, he tossed it toward Nolan and said coldly, ”There’s the money. Just exchange it at the Blue Moon Trading House in the Great Velmora Empire—they’ll convert it into Sharn currency.”

The Blue Moon Trading House wasn’t just a giant in the Great Velmora Empire—it also held considerable influence in the Holy Empire of Valtanir and several other major powers.

They had established banks and financial centers across these regions, indirectly exerting control over their economies.

Although it might appear to be a monopoly, many regarded the presence of the Blue Moon Trading House as a blessing.

Since their arrival years ago, the major powers had experienced a swift economic transformation. Instead of feeling threatened, most welcomed their influence—including the Singularity of Light himself.

Nolan examined the check and gave a satisfied nod.

”Alright, I’ll take it. Don’t worry—I’ll make sure Princess Elina knows this generous gift came from none other than the so-called Singularity of Light,” he said with a mocking smile.

”You...” the Singularity of Light growled through clenched teeth—but held back.

With a cold snort, his body dissolved into light and vanished.
