The Hidden Extra: The Lazy Prince Refuses to Ascend The Throne

”Is this still within reasonable limits?”

About two hundred kilometers away, Malverna narrowed her eyes as she observed the battle between Nolan and the Singularity of Light.

Even from that distance, the shockwaves from their clash were still incredibly powerful.

Coconut trees along the shoreline were blown away by the storm their battle generated. The force was so intense that some trees were even uprooted entirely.

Had an ordinary human been standing where Malverna was, they would’ve died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Arnold stood beside her, arms folded, his expression calm and unbothered.

A faint smile crossed his lips as he said, ”Don’t worry. My lord has no intention of killing the Singularity of Light—he just wants to teach him a lesson. Still... I won’t deny the impact might mess up the ocean over there. But I’m sure he won’t go overboard.”

The power of the Singularities was terrifying. If two of them fought seriously, it wouldn’t just wipe out an empire—it could shatter the entire continent.

That’s why Arnold believed Nolan would hold back as much as possible.

But as for how much power Nolan could truly endure... Even Arnold didn’t know.

He could only hope no tsunami would follow. If one did, the towns located forty kilometers from the shoreline would likely be wiped off the map.

Upon hearing that flippant response, the corners of Malverna’s mouth twitched.

She was beginning to realize that it wasn’t just Nolan who was insane—his subordinate was just as bad.

With a light shake of her head, she turned her attention back to the distant battle.

Her expression reflected anticipation... and a touch of excitement.

Boom!

Two black-and-gold figures collided, unleashing an explosion so powerful it echoed for dozens of kilometers.

Nolan clenched his right fist and drove it into the side of the Singularity of Light’s face.

Bang!

The impact sent his opponent flying, but the Singularity of Light twisted mid-air and quickly regained his balance.

He rubbed his stinging cheek, eyes burning with fury.

”Singularity of Chaos!” he roared.

Boom!

A golden aura erupted from his body, stirring a violent windstorm that churned the sea beneath them.

He thrust out his right hand. In an instant, a golden sword materialized in his grip.

The blade was long and radiant, engraved with lightning patterns that sparked faintly every few seconds.

Its appearance distorted the surrounding space within a two-kilometer radius—as if reality itself struggled to contain its presence.

This was the Singularity of Light’s sword—the God of Lightning’s blade, Orundar.

Orundar, huh? Tsk! I’ve been waiting for this, Nolan muttered, licking his lips.

Orundar was the Singularity of Light’s personal weapon, rumored to be forged from pure lightning gifted by the God of Lightning himself.

Of course, that was just a baseless rumor—Nolan knew the real story.

In truth, the sword was indeed forged from the essence of lightning—but not from the God of Lightning or any divine being.

It came from the pure lightning energy contained within the Thousand Lightning Lake, far to the west.

For thousands of years, lightning had ceaselessly struck the lake. Over time, the relentless strikes condensed into a core of pure lightning essence, buried deep beneath the lake.

Using that raw surge of lightning, the Singularity of Light forged the weapon that became uniquely his.

No ordinary weapon could withstand the immense power he wielded. This sword was the only thing capable of enduring it.

That was why the old man treasured his blade—and rarely drew it.

Now, he had unsheathed it—a clear sign that he intended to fight seriously.

Nolan, of course, didn’t flinch. In fact, this was exactly what he had been waiting for.

Zrakk!

Like lightning itself, the Singularity of Light vanished and reappeared right in front of Nolan.

With his sword raised high, he brought it down in a clean slash aimed at Nolan’s neck.

But Nolan remained perfectly calm. He opened his mouth and whispered, ”Distortion...”

In an instant, the Singularity of Light’s movement halted. The space around him warped—first stretching, then snapping tight, locking him in place.

In a flash, the pressure multiplied, crushing in on him like a vice of compressed space.

Zrakk!

His body vanished and reappeared twenty meters away.

As if locking onto his target, Nolan reached forward and said flatly, ”Black Hole.”

His hand clenched—and in an instant, a fist-sized black hole appeared beside the Singularity of Light.

Its overwhelming suction made the Singularity’s hair stand on end.

”Light Step!” he shouted.

In the blink of an eye, his figure vanished—moving just a fraction faster than light itself.

But would Nolan let him escape? Of course not.

Harnessing the power of space, Nolan’s figure flickered from point to point.

The moment the Singularity of Light let his guard down, Nolan appeared right in front of him, palm clenched.

”Die, old man!”

Bang!

The punch landed before the Singularity of Light could react.

”Argh!” he cried out as his body was hurled backward with tremendous force.

Before he could recover, Nolan reappeared in front of him and drove a powerful kick into his side—like kicking a ball across a field.

”Singularity of Chaos!” the Singularity of Light roared, his voice shaking with fury.

He spun midair, raised his sword high, then brought it down in a vertical slash.

Zrang!

A blade-shaped lightning bolt shot toward Nolan at the speed of light.

Nolan brought his middle and index fingers together and whispered, ”Distortion.”

The lightning bolt froze in midair for a split second—then exploded.

But in the next moment, four more lightning slashes followed, striking Nolan head-on.

Boom!

A massive explosion rocked the sky. High-voltage currents crackled through the air and slammed into the sea below.

Upon seeing that, the Singularity of Light couldn’t help but smile in satisfaction.

”Hahaha! Gotcha!” he taunted.

”Hmm? What do you mean?”

A playful voice echoed from above, making his body tense instantly.

He turned his head—and there, floating about forty meters above him, was the Singularity of Chaos.

Hovering above Nolan, twenty magic circles began to form, glowing in shades of red, black, white, and green.

”Damn it!” The Singularity of Light cursed, attempting to flee—but the space around him suddenly warped.

It collapsed inward, forming an invisible prison that locked him in place.

Nolan chuckled and mocked, ”Enjoy the dinner I’ve prepared.”

Snap!

The moment his fingers snapped, a barrage of attacks rained down from the magic circles above.

From the red circles, massive meteors—each the size of a house—came crashing down. From the white ones, countless lightsabers rained like a blinding storm.

Boom!

A colossal explosion erupted as the attacks landed, instantly vaporizing seawater within a one-kilometer radius.

Thankfully, Nolan sealed off the space around the blast zone just in time, preventing the destruction from spreading further.

From afar, Malverna watched with a pale face, a chill running down her spine.

”He... he can even use multiple elemental magics? How is that possible!?”
