After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2301: Chapter 586: Expelling Demons and Upholding the Path Today

”It’s quite normal; when people can’t change their circumstances, they often turn to mysticism.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

This kind of thing is more common among seriously ill individuals.

The pressure in football is enormous, so coaches definitely need some psychological comfort.

There’s no essential difference between English coaches indulging in mysticism and Italian coaches who enjoy studying tactics; as long as they can ensure results, even if a coach runs around naked, it’s fine.

The Master Ka is the best example. Not only does the English FA not mind, but they also promote Taoist culture, claiming it’s not witchcraft.

Huang Kaiwen actually thinks having faith isn’t a bad thing.

Just don’t pick players based on astrology like Domenech does.

Later at night, Lily was the first to succumb, leaving Huang Kaiwen to watch TV alone.

Lately, both Dutch and English legends have been quite active.

The Three Musketeers hail from Milan, and Stam has played for both Milan and Manchester United, two major clubs.

On TV, Stam was being interviewed by Lineker.

Lineker asked: ”Who do you think has a higher chance of winning, the Netherlands team or the England Team?”

”I hope it’s the Netherlands, but England is strong.”

Stam said hesitantly: ”The defense formed by Terry and his teammates will put a lot of pressure on the Netherlands, and Robben facing Ashley Cole will also limit his performance.”

That statement was indeed correct.

Cole, despite his decline, still maintains a top-tier defender level.

Otherwise, Chelsea would have let him go long ago.

”Then what is the key to this match?” Lineker asked.

Stam crossed his legs, wrapped his arms around his knees, and said: ”It mainly depends on the coaches’ arrangements during the match. I think it’s an evenly matched contest. England’s overall strength is stronger, but the Netherlands team has more top players. Currently, England only has Rooney as a truly world-class attacker.”

”Which goalkeeper do you think is better, Joe Hart or Stekelenburg?”

Lineker asked.

Stam almost didn’t think before he said directly: ”Hart’s reaction speed is faster, but he has some technical flaws. Stekelenburg is an excellent goalkeeper; his tall stature and solid fundamentals are his advantages.”

Only then did Huang Kaiwen remember he forgot something.

He quickly reached for his phone on the bedside table and opened the memo.

Heaven ages if it has feelings, watching Hart react slowly.

There are many opinions about Hart.

But Huang Kaiwen believes the most reliable one is that Hart is similar in type to De Gea.

Joe Hart’s athletic ability is world-class, but he is also a goalkeeper with poor positioning and technique.

He often compensates for his technical deficiencies with athletic prowess.

Especially when facing long shots, Hart’s positioning is on a completely different level than Neuer’s.

Hart likes to stand still and react only after the opponent kicks; if he can save it, it’s a miracle save; otherwise, he becomes part of the background against the ball’s speed.

Neuer’s footwork is always adjusting; once he sees the player’s movements, he immediately makes a judgment, rushing out faster than Hart. Whether he saves it or not is just a matter of milliseconds; Neuer starting a bit faster naturally makes the save.

It’s an area worth concentrating more effort on.

The next day.

Training was about to end.

Huang Kaiwen clapped his hands and shouted: ”Everyone come over and practice long shots; we might need it when playing against England.”

van Persie, who frequently faced off against Hart, immediately smiled.

”Boss, talk about the techniques for long shots.”

Robben shouted.

Sneijder immediately rolled his eyes, silently cursing the bootlicker.

Robben’s ability for long shots isn’t bad either; occasionally, he can score wonder goals with his right foot.

Does he even need to ask?

Huang Kaiwen laughed and waved his hand: ”Your long shots are already good; I don’t need to teach you. But remember one thing: don’t force a shot when there’s no opportunity. If you keep surrendering possession, the defense won’t hold.”

A strong team can frequently attempt long shots against a weak team because there’s a backup on defense.

Try using Heskey or Crouch for counter-attacks against Ferdinand and Vidic, or Terry and Carvalho; it’s challenging.

But Rooney and Ashley Young as a duo are still effective against Dutch defenders.

If you give away too much possession, Rooney might score before you do.

At this moment, Nesta came over, gloating as he said: ”Mourinho is being interviewed, and in a 10-minute segment, he’s criticizing Santos.”

Huang Kaiwen almost couldn’t hold back.

It was indeed the Mourinho he was familiar with.

Mourinho is extremely proud, to the point where his ego is incredibly strong.

His success is related to his personality.

But sometimes, this personality can also influence him.

The allure of football lies in the unique personalities of both coaches and players; if it were monotonous, it wouldn’t be interesting.

The day before the match.

Huang Kaiwen indeed met Archbishop James Grump.

He had guessed this would happen long ago.

The Master Ka is so famous that for Vatican not to come stir things up would be unusual.

This bishop from the Warsaw and Gniezno dioceses looked typically Eastern European.

Huang Kaiwen greeted him with a smile: ”Welcome, Your Eminence Cardinal.”

”You are Saint Kevin.”

Cardinal James Grump said, humbling himself.

Huang Kaiwen quickly responded: ”That’s just what the fans call me; after all, Bernabeu also has Saint Casillas.”

Cardinal James Grump changed the topic and said: ”The Pope has sent the Crown of Thorns this time.”

”The Casket of the Crown of Thorns?”

Huang Kaiwen asked.

He was somewhat familiar with these things too.

The Crown of Thorns was that crown the soldiers made out of thorns for Jesus during his crucifixion to mock him.
