After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 2061: Chapter 536: The Magician King’s Marvelous Journey

After Huang Kaiwen left the field.

Messi dribbled through several players in the center and scored a goal.

Milan achieved a complete victory over their opponent at San Siro Stadium.

The visitor stands were bare.

Making San Siro free of any noise.

All the Milan players thanked the fans on the field, accepting the applause.

”Kevin, do you want to attend the press conference?”

Pep Guardiola asked.

”Forget it, coach.”

Huang Kaiwen pointed at Messi and said, ”Let Leo go. The reporters will definitely want to interview him.”

Pep Guardiola looked at Messi.

Messi could only helplessly nod.

He wasn’t very fond of press conferences.

Seeing Huang Kaiwen being called away, Messi curiously asked, ”What is Kevin going to do?”

”Doping test.”

Pep Guardiola said, ”Kevin’s frequency of doping tests has reduced recently, but he still gets randomly tested after important matches, so such randomness is hard to understand.”

Messi nodded along.

The two of them walked into the tunnel together.

Ranieri sat alone on the stage, and even when Guardiola and Messi arrived, the reporters did not shift their focus.

”Claudio, who is to blame for the thrashing?”

”Are Inter Milan and AC Milan teams of two different levels?”

”Mr. Ranieri, will you resign to take responsibility?”

”You didn’t lose this badly when coaching Rome, does that mean Inter Milan is weaker than Rome?”

”Messi made his debut today; what do you think of his performance?”

Pep Guardiola couldn’t bear it.

He proactively helped defend Ranieri, saying, ”Every match is a brand new beginning. A big win or a small win won’t change the fact that a victory gives you 3 points. There are many reasons for winning so much. Today’s Inter Milan is not the best Inter Milan; without Sneijder, their offensive organization was affected, so we don’t think the victory is taken for granted. We will continue to cheer for the derby at the end of the season.”

This is standard Guardiola-style speech.

Excusing the opponent after winning, or saying they almost lost.

Some people think Guardiola is hypocritical, but he has always done this.

”Milan won many championships last season, and you won the UEFA Champions League for the first time. Has your mentality become more relaxed since then?”

A reporter asked.

”The players have not relaxed, which is incredible, right? What you see in the team is the UEFA Champions League champion from last season. From our games, you can see the players’ desire for championships.”

”Pep, how would you rate Messi’s debut?”

A ”Milan Sports Newspaper” reporter raised a hand to ask.

Guardiola thought for a moment and said, ”I’m an 85-point coach. I can help some players improve themselves. But this does not include Messi, Kevin, or some other excellent players. God taught them how to play soccer. What I need to do is only let them stand in the right positions on the field. Leo’s performance was outstanding today. Most importantly, he performed well even while unfamiliar with his teammates and will improve in the future.”

Guardiola’s remarks disappointed the reporters.

They always hope to get some news from Guardiola’s mouth.

But Guardiola’s answers are always watertight.

This is why they are enthusiastic about chasing news about Guardiola but don’t like interviewing him.

Across Europe, the coach most popular with reporters is Mourinho.

Even the reporters who usually make fun of him would promptly change their attitude when it looks like Mourinho might get fired.

Not getting anything from Guardiola, the reporters turned to Messi.

”Talk about your feelings about today’s match.”

Messi nodded and said, ”Milan has a completely different football philosophy, even though the coach is a familiar one. The team doesn’t like passing back; they prefer moving the ball forward. I need to adapt to the team’s rhythm; I feel I can blend in.”

”Today, both you and Kevin performed very well. Who do you think did better?”

The reporter asked further.

Messi answered without hesitation, ”Kevin, definitely Kevin.”

”Why?”

The reporter continued to ask.

Messi said, ”When I’m on the field, I notice Kevin’s positioning. Kevin runs a lot in a game, drawing a lot of defenses, which is helpful for others. But even against multiple defenders, Kevin easily finds a breakthrough point. If you saw Kevin hitting the ball forward several meters and catching up again, you’d know why I say this. What I can do, Kevin can do, but some things Kevin can do, I can’t. That’s the difference between us.”

”One last question: other than Kevin, who are you most familiar with in the team?”

A reporter asked.

Many reporters showed interested expressions.

If Huang Kaiwen is not excluded, they already know the answer.

Messi didn’t think much and said, ”Filippo Inzaghi. He’s scored many goals in the UEFA Champions League, and he’s very friendly and enthusiastic.”

Guardiola didn’t expect Messi to answer this way.

But he still said, ”We have only so much to say. The rest of the team is still waiting for us.”

Took Messi along to leave the press conference venue.

Guardiola didn’t tell Messi not to learn from Inzaghi or anything like that.

The two of them have extremely different personal lives.

Since many people wanted to go home for dinner, there was no celebration after the Milan Derby.

When Huang Kaiwen got home.
