After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1810: Chapter 485: The Ultimate Tactics Return to the Arena

Found that the young lady hadn’t returned yet, so I watched some TV out of boredom.

The movie playing on TV was ”Jing Wu Men.”

Bruce Lee’s movies are still classics.

Then they played a Jack Chen movie, and even though I’ve seen it many times, watching him run down the facade of a building in the Netherlands still feels astonishing.

Sure enough, no one can succeed casually.

After waiting for a while, the young lady returned home, and the two of us went to sleep after we finished our tasks.

The next day.

After arriving at the team.

Sure enough, it was Clemente standing on the sidelines.

Holding a clipboard, Clemente said, ”It’s a pity that Pep will be absent for more than a month due to injury; his back has suffered a significant injury. He can’t guide the team for now, so we’ll need to communicate via phone and email. I’ll be acting head coach for the first team for the time being.”

Huang Kaiwen took the lead in applauding.

Sparse applause then sounded on the training ground.

Guardiola had a hard time holding the fort at Milan, let alone someone like Clemente, who was a third-rate player.

What championship, Milan players what championship?

Anyone with a few years at Milan has at least two UEFA Champions League titles.

Boas at Chelsea was able to do it because he had long blended with the local crew and had aristocratic blood, which is appreciated in the English-speaking world.

Zidane later managed due to his stature as a player—football is ultimately a sport that looks at ability.

Clemente has no such advantage.

Finding the players not very enthusiastic, he awkwardly said, ”Let’s start training, I still need to call Pep.”

Training began without Huang Kaiwen saying much.

In a football team, you need to show enough skill to earn respect.

Even the professor faced skepticism when he first arrived at Arsenal.

At that time, he had already been coaching for a while.

Back then, Arsenal did not have the status in football that Milan does now.

But he handled it well; the skills he showed in all aspects put the team on track, and many useful suggestions truly helped the first team, turning veterans like Keown into Wenger’s supporters.

It’s said that English teams’ focus on players’ personal dietary habits started with the professor.

Back in his office, Clemente was very troubled.

He absolutely couldn’t call Guardiola.

If he did, wouldn’t it imply he’s not competent?

He had waited a long time for this day, finally having the chance to stand on the coaching bench.

He must not let anyone ruin his chance to prove himself.

Unable to come up with a solution right away,

Clemente could only pull out footage of Real Madrid games from Capello’s time to watch.

On February 6, Clemente, like Guardiola, left Huang Kaiwen out of the away game roster.

However, in that match, Milan drew 1-1 with Genoa.

After the game, the media launched fierce criticism against Clemente.

Even Crudeli rarely criticized the team after the game; in an interview with the Milan TV Station, he said, ”This is a team unfamiliar to me; our interim coach really wants to show his prowess, but all I see is poor organization, poor passing, poor shooting, and the whole team played as badly as Juventus. Coupled with Buffon standing in goal, it really gave me the illusion this was Juventus.”

A week later, Milan won 4-0 against Parma.

But since Parma was close to the relegation zone, this match wasn’t very convincing.

Most of the media aren’t optimistic about Clemente.

While Guardiola has faced much skepticism, at least he’s a legitimate coach, and the world claims he has potential. The media’s skepticism stems from the fact that his performance didn’t meet their expectations.

As for Clemente, he hasn’t shown anything in matches at all.

February 14.

Huang Kaiwen, along with Lily and the young lady, dined out and was stopped by reporters.

Huang Kaiwen raised three fingers and said, ”I will only answer three questions, don’t waste too much of our time.”

”Will Milan win tomorrow, will Real Madrid win against Lyon?”

The reporter asked directly.

Huang Kaiwen smiled and said, ”This counts as one question for you, but I’ll tell you, everything is unknown until the match ends.”

The reporter rolled his eyes.

He didn’t expect Huang Kaiwen to hold a grudge like that.

He tried to sneak in an extra question, and Huang Kaiwen immediately replied with an answer that said nothing.

”How about Clemente?”

The reporter asked.

Huang Kaiwen said, ”Mr. Clemente is quite well-liked; he needs some time to adapt as the first team’s coach, but that’s not a problem.”

”You drew Arsenal, do you think it’s a good draw?”

The reporter asked again.

”Of course not, Arsenal is one of the strongest teams among the second-placed teams in the group. The professor’s teams have never been easy to play against. I’ve learned a lot from playing against Arsenal. Well, that’s it for today’s interview; happy Valentine’s Day, if you have a girlfriend.”

Huang Kaiwen joked with a smile.

Given the sauce stains on the reporter’s pants, Huang Kaiwen suspected he was single.

After all, it wasn’t early, and if there was a date, he’d have to go soon.

Young people dressed like that weren’t going to attract many girls.

Looks are inborn, but regardless of appearance, you should tidy yourself up for a date; it shows respect for others.

A day later.

San Siro Stadium’s press room.
