After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

Chapter 1699: Chapter 463: The Legend of Paul in Sicily (Part 3)

Maybe it’ll change a bit when she grows up.

Guardiola could only comfort himself like this.

Huang Kaiwen smiled and shook his head.

It seems every daughter is the soft spot of an old father.

As soon as he sat back on the substitute bench, Inzaghi immediately leaned over and said, ”How do you score so quickly?”

”I don’t know either, I didn’t even specially think about it.”

Huang Kaiwen said.

”Hey!”

Inzaghi said indignantly, ”Are you still keeping your little secret from me? I must find the trick for the next match against Juventus!”

Abbiati raised his hand and said, ”Well, I think you’d better hope you can make it onto the field first.”

Inzaghi’s expression froze immediately.

Yeah.

He may not even get to play.

Recently he’s been playing because he scores a lot, and others have had fitness issues.

But Guardiola keeping Ibrahimovic on the sidelines is clearly preparing for the upcoming match against Juventus.

In that case, will he still have a chance to play?

Inzaghi blinked and looked at Huang Kaiwen.

”Don’t look at me, I can’t get you to start.”

Huang Kaiwen quickly said.

”You could tell him that if I don’t start, you can’t play comfortably,” Inzaghi suggested tentatively.

”Forget it, nobody would buy such a dumb excuse.”

Huang Kaiwen said with a wry smile.

Inzaghi, not giving up, was still trying.

In the final stage of the match, Antonini scored a long-range shot, and Milan won 5-2 at Naples away.

Huang Kaiwen declined Guardiola’s invitation to the press conference.

Post-match press conference.

Only the two head coaches were sitting there.

”Walter, why did your team collapse?”

”Did you hear the boos at the venue today, Mr. Mazzarri?”

”When trailing, Kevin is put in, Pep, does this mean Kevin is strong, and not your tactics?”

”Talk about Kroos’s situation.”

”...”

Walter Mazzarri said helplessly, ”There’s nothing much to say. We played a great half, but the rest was taken over by Kevin. Even though we lost, I’m still proud of the players’ performance. Playing like that is not easy, after all, Kevin scored four goals in 7 minutes, which is not something ordinary people can do.”

”So you lost because of Kevin’s performance?”

Mazzarri glanced at Guardiola and said, ”Yes, mostly because of Kevin. He was outstanding. However, the other AC Milan players are also strong. Look at the value of players from both sides and you’ll see. Let me say it again, I’m proud of my players’ performance. AC Milan’s players’ salaries are several times theirs, but they still led for over 60 minutes. That’s not easy at all.”

Seeing there was no scoop from Mazzarri, the journalist turned to Guardiola and asked, ”Mr. Guardiola, talk about Kevin’s importance.”

Guardiola smiled bitterly, scooted forward, and said, ”I don’t know what you want to ask. You’ve seen everything that happened on the field. It’s hard to believe, but that’s football for you.”

”I mean, isn’t there a problem with your tactics, why do you always need Kevin to rescue the team?”

The journalist pressed on.

”If that’s how you think, then there’s no problem.”

Guardiola said with a wry smile, ”Sure, I have my ideas, but I can’t guarantee they’re always right. We need to keep trying on the path to improvement. That’s the key. Anyone, any team must pay enough of a price to grow.”

”But the key is Kevin.”

The journalist reminded him.

Guardiola nodded and said, ”Yes, Kevin is very crucial. That’s right, he’s the best player in the world. But you should understand one thing, putting Kevin in was also a tactical decision, not just because the team was trailing. Milan has many great players. We won’t overly rely on anyone.”

The press room fell silent.

The journalists looked at Guardiola incredulously.

Last time, Guardiola joked about saying things like that.

But now it seems real no matter how you look at it.

”What about Kroos? He said after the Bayern away matches they needed to party, especially after the UEFA Champions League, which is exhausting. Isn’t that the case in Milan?”

The journalist asked again.

Guardiola:...

Didn’t expect Kroos to fire shots like that.

Guardiola tried to ask, ”Did he say this was after UEFA Champions League away games?”

”Yes, that’s right.”

The journalist said.

”Then I think you might have misunderstood him. When Toni left Bayern, he was still young and only played a couple of times in the Champions League.”

Guardiola said, breathing a little easier.

At least it’s a way to gloss over things for now. He really hated those passive situations.

Having to hear what the players said from journalists, who knows if the journalists intentionally twisted Kroos’s words.

”That’s exactly what he said. Besides, even if not a starter, substitute players still have to attend the parties, so it doesn’t matter how often he played.”

The journalist said.

”Alright, but I don’t see any problem with it.”

Guardiola gestured and said, ”Some people like socializing, some don’t, it’s a matter of personal character. Hearing how Bayern does things, I think it seems pretty good. Parties can help people connect better emotionally. But you should respect everyone’s opinions, Toni doesn’t like noise, that’s his personal choice.”

”But Kevin’s parties, Kroos has never missed one.” The journalist ”kindly” reminded.
