After signing with AC Milan, I will be the king of football!

”What’s up? Why the rush to find me?”

Huang Kaiwen maneuvered his electric wheelchair over to Inzaghi.

Although he could walk, using a wheelchair was a bit more convenient.

It spared him the risk of further injury.

”Nice ride, bro,” Inzaghi teased as he looked at Huang Kaiwen’s wheelchair, ”I’ve been wanting to try it out since the celebration day. Your wheelchair looks cool; can I have a go at it?”

”Buzz off!”

Literarily, God letting you try.

Inzaghi, sporting sunglasses, looked irresistibly cool.

But as soon as he opened his mouth, you’d want to punch him.

With a stern face, Huang Kaiwen said, ”If you want, I can have the security beat you up so you’d also need a wheelchair.”

”Better not then; your wheelchair looks expensive.”

Inzaghi smiled sheepishly and made a surrender gesture.

”Let’s talk business.”

”Oh, right, I almost forgot.”

Inzaghi, looking at Huang Kaiwen, said, ”You came back to Milan so soon and didn’t have much fun. How about we go on a vacation together?”

”Think about it; after the UEFA Cup, you, me, and Ricardo, the three musketeers hitting the road again. Let’s conquer America. We can also bring Andre along. He might be a bit ugly, but he’ll just make us look better and can carry our bags,” Inzaghi exclaimed, spreading his arms wide.

Passersby nearby hurriedly walked away.

Huang Kaiwen silently nodded in his mind.

By July, he should be able to ditch the wheelchair.

After playing so many matches in one season, he really needed a good rest.

And with Inzaghi around,

the trip would be a lot of fun.

Later, teaming up with Kaka, they could even win back the vacation expenses.

Rounded up, it’s almost like freeloading.

Having Pirlo along would be great too.

Pirlo was an important player for the team.

But they didn’t have much personal contact off the field.

This would be a good opportunity to bond.

By the time they came back, Inzaghi, Kaka, Pirlo, and Dida would virtually form a central axis all to themselves.

Then he’d connect more with the two center-backs.

That would complete a perfect central axis.

Although he agreed with Inzaghi’s proposal,

he couldn’t just agree out loud.

Inzaghi was best at taking a mile when given an inch.

Just like Mr. Lu said: ”This room is too dark; we must have a window here,” certainly everyone would refuse. But if you propose to remove the roof, they would compromise and agree to have a window.

It was the same with Inzaghi.

Before agreeing to his request, you had to make it a bit difficult for him.

Then by giving in a bit, Inzaghi would calm down

and feel a sense of achievement.

Huang Kaiwen shook his head slightly and said, ”Forget it, it doesn’t sound interesting.”

”Come on, bro,” Inzaghi pleaded, moving closer to Huang Kaiwen, wrapping an arm around his shoulders, and waving the other arm enticingly, ”Think about it. We go to Hollywood and meet lots of stars. Although the supermodels in Milan City are intriguing, switching it up occasionally isn’t bad, right? The whole world longs for America; not going there once might leave a void in your life.”

”Filippo, I’m vacationing to relax, not to chase women,”

Huang Kaiwen said, ”I’ve been there before with my parents, and it really wasn’t that interesting.”

”Peter Pan, my poor fellow,” Inzaghi said in an exaggerated tone, ”Such an age and still all about ’mom and dad’—you really haven’t grown up. Relaxing and beautiful women don’t conflict; seeing beauties is also a form of relaxation. I read in a science magazine that watching beauties for five minutes a day can extend your life by ten years. With our busy soccer schedules, we might as well catch up on a season’s worth of five minutes, all at once.”

Huang Kaiwen almost burst out laughing.

Literally, watching it all at once.

Seeing Huang Kaiwen unresponsive, Inzaghi, patting his chest, said, ”I’ll pay.”

”Done!”

Huang Kaiwen nodded quickly.

Inzaghi looked at Huang Kaiwen with a wistful gaze.

He suspected Huang Kaiwen agreed because of the money.

Last season, in poker and bets, he had already lost a fair amount of money to Huang Kaiwen and Kaka.

But compared to a little money,

Inzaghi cared more about the victory.

Seeing Huang Kaiwen agree,

Inzaghi sighed in relief.

Ever since he failed to get together with Adriana Lima, Inzaghi had taken it to heart and hadn’t been able to even the score; he was ready to prove himself this vacation.

His handsome Filippo still stood as an insurmountable peak for the two rookies.

...

July 10.

The European football transfer market was still in full swing.

The vacation quartet had already been in Los Angeles for six days.

Inzaghi looked utterly disconsolate.

Prostrate in his room on the bed.

Even if Kaka and Kevin, due to their religious beliefs, were more popular than him,

what about Andrea Pirlo?

That Andre guy was much uglier than him!

Inzaghi, getting up to look at himself in the mirror, felt the world was changing.

Just then,

sounds of thumping came from the neighboring room.

Thud, thud, thud, thud...

Inzaghi banged on the wall.

The thumping only got louder.

Inzaghi felt he couldn’t let Andre keep swaggering.

The next morning,

while having breakfast in the hotel restaurant,

Inzaghi tempted, ”America isn’t all that great; how about we go back to Italy? Doesn’t Ricardo’s girlfriend’s family own an island?”

Huang Kaiwen immediately figured out Inzaghi’s thoughts.

But he didn’t expose Inzaghi.

Although he was popular, his leg injury meant he could only watch.

Kaka was beginning to embrace celibacy again,

and Pirlo became the biggest winner of the trip.

Although he wanted to build a good relationship with Pirlo,

watching Pirlo heat things up with the girls day after day was hard for him.

Being teammates shouldn’t be just about one’s own enjoyment, right?

”Okay, let’s go back,” Huang Kaiwen nodded in agreement.
