Chapter 1289: Chapter 1288 So-So

Distribute Dan medicines?

As soon as these words were uttered, they not only caused a stir among the Qilin Special Forces.

The Divine Generals behind Lin Dong also issued exclamations one after another.

Only Yan Qing’s face didn’t look very good!

He indeed felt that he was not as good as Lin Dong in terms of martial arts strength.

He admitted this point.

But when it came to training the Special Combat Team, he didn’t believe he was inferior to Lin Dong!

That was also why, even though he had already resigned from the War Department, he still agreed to become the instructor for the Qilin Special Forces in the first place.

It was to compete with Lin Dong!

But now, Lin Dong was actually offering to give Dan medicines to his Qilin Special Forces. Was he trying to take his credit?

If this were the case, wouldn’t the instructor of the Qilin Special Forces become Lin Dong too?

That was why his face looked so bad!

The members of the Qilin Special Forces, of course, also understood this key point.

At the moment, the team leader of the Qilin Special Forces stepped forward and said:

”War God Lin, the Dan medicine you want to distribute to us is the ’Supplementary Yuan Pill,’ right?”

”We have all heard that in addition to your strength as an Earth Realm martial artist, you also practice alchemy. The Supplementary Yuan Pill and the Nine Rebirth Pill are both your masterpieces.”

”However, War God Lin, that Supplementary Yuan Pill can bring about a qualitative leap for regular Special Operation Teams like the Piranha Special Forces after taking it.”

”But for us martial artists, the effect is not so significant... so we feel there’s no need for War God Lin to trouble himself!”

The other members of the Qilin Special Forces also looked down on the Supplementary Yuan Pill.

They still held their previous opinion.

If the Supplementary Yuan Pill was given to the regular Special Forces ’Piranha Special Operations Team,’ then they felt it wasn’t worthy of their use.

The two Special Forces teams were not on the same level in the first place.

It was like they were the top class, while the Piranha Special Operations Team was a regular class.

You are asking us, the top class, to do the same simple questions as the regular class. For a top class like ours, it won’t bring much improvement!

That was their honest opinion.

Hearing this, Lin Dong frowned and said:

”The Dan medicine I want to give you is not the Supplementary Yuan Pill. It’s a new Dan medicine I have concocted, which is only useful for martial artists at the peak of Martial Arts Master...”

Before Lin Dong could finish speaking, the Qilin Special Forces Team Leader interrupted:

”War God Lin, then we need it even less.”

”Right, we don’t need it. We just want the Qilin War God to lead us!”

”In this War Department Grand Competition, we only acknowledge the name of the Qilin War God as our instructor!”

”War God Lin, please continue to lead your Piranha Special Forces. Don’t let them lag behind anymore. It wouldn’t be good for your reputation, would it?”

”Exactly, we are all martial artists! We are not like the regular hot combat team you lead. Don’t use the same methods on us that you use for the Piranha Special Forces.”

”...”

The members of the Qilin Special Forces, each voicing their opinions, openly expressed their views.

Even the words they were saying showed some disrespect towards Lin Dong, the War God.

Hearing them speak like this, Divine General Fei Ying scolded:

”You little brats, how dare you speak to War God Lin like that?”

Everyone bowed their heads!

Still, someone muttered under their breath, ”What we said wasn’t wrong, was it? He can’t just use his status as a War God to forcefully teach us, can he?”

”Qilin War God was doing fine as our instructor, what’s it to him to interfere?”

”Even school teachers know to teach according to the student’s abilities, our War Department’s training should be even more so. Is it realistic to use the methods for training the regular Special Forces to train us?”

”Exactly, just say the things we’re training with now, which regular Special Operations Team could endure them?”

”They wouldn’t last even a second, probably have to call it quits right away!”

”...”

Though their voices were quieter, the Qilin Special Forces still were defiant, grumbling these words under their breath.

Divine General Fei Ying was also feeling awkward.

He actually agreed with what the members of the Qilin Special Forces were saying.

Training should be tailored to the individual!

He also thought that employing the training methods of the Piranha Special Operations Team for the Qilin Special Forces wouldn’t work.

However, with War God Lin’s status there, these members of the Qilin Special Forces were going too far, daring to speak like this right in front of him.

He was about to scold them again, or even punish them.

But at the moment, Lin Dong spoke up.

He looked at this group from the Qilin Special Forces and said in a deep voice:

”Are you sure you don’t want my Dan medicines?”

”We don’t!” Everyone spoke up, ”For us elites, they’re not very useful.”

”Okay then,” Lin Dong hadn’t expected these people to be so proud.

Seems like they haven’t taken a fall yet!

He didn’t say anything else.

It was not like he could use his War God status to force-feed them, could he?

”I hope you won’t regret this,” Lin Dong said, and then turned to Yan Qing, ”Yan Qing, training like this, the increase in the team members’ powers is still not fast enough!”

”At this rate, you’ll at most maintain your previous fifth place!”

Yan Qing was also a bit irritated; although Lin Dong was stronger than him, it didn’t mean he had the right to dictate how he should train his students.

He responded bluntly, ”War God Lin, you better mind your own business!”

”Don’t let your Piranha Special Operations Team lose even the third-from-last spot!”

”I’ve heard that the last and second to last have both brought in famed teachers. They, too, really want to shake off their positions at the bottom!”

”Snicker—” As soon as he said this, many couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

They were all members of the Qilin Special Forces.

Lin Dong narrowed his eyes, realizing it wasn’t just the Qilin Special Forces who were overly proud.

Yan Qing himself was quite arrogant!

He shook his head, deciding not to say anything more.

”Okay! That’s it for today’s review, my evaluation is just average,” Lin Dong said and then left with a swish of his sleeves.

And the Azure Dragon Messenger and others quickly followed behind.

As for Yan Qing and those from the Qilin Special Forces, they smirked.

”War God Lin is in a hurry!”

”He says our power enhancement is average, heh, I’d like to see just how much their Piranha Special Operations Team has improved!”

”At the War Department Grand Competition, we’ll show him who is just average!”

”Exactly! A regular Special Operations Team that’s at the tail end, dare to compare with us?”

”...”

Everyone shook their heads, none of them taking the words Lin Dong had just said to heart.

They believed that Lin Dong’s ’just average’ assessment was his way of nit-picking, a sign that he was getting anxious.

But they had no idea what opportunity they had just missed.
