Chapter 462: Chapter 462: Pleading for Life After Severing Ties

In the Martial Arts World, the Kill Order issued by the Gu King was causing quite a stir.

However, in the Mundane World, this matter was completely unknown to the populace.

It would be impossible for the News to report on such a thing.

Like any normal person, Lin Dong went to work at the Hospital.

When he arrived at the Hospital, he ran into the Vice President, Huang Wende.

Lin Dong was deeply disgusted with his daughter’s actions, but he was unsure whether Huang Wende was involved in that incident with his daughter.

If he was, Lin Dong wouldn’t mind sending him to see his daughter as well.

At the moment, Huang Wende was with his nephew, Huang Hua.

”Huang Hua, have you seen your cousin? She hasn’t come home in several days, and I don’t know where she’s gone,” Huang Wende asked Huang Hua.

Huang Hua shook his head, ”Uncle, I haven’t seen her. She didn’t run off with some random man, did she?”

Huang Wende sighed, ”Truly a misfortune for our family, sigh...”

The reason Huang Hua said this was that Huang Meihua had pulled such stunts before.

Previously, this woman went overseas for a short study stint and ended up wasting a fortune. Her family had intended for her to learn Western medical technology, but instead of picking up any medical knowledge, she embraced the ’open’ mindset of the West to the fullest.

During her time overseas, she had seven or eight boyfriends in just over a month. She even got pregnant, enraging Huang Wende so much that he personally went overseas to bring her back home.

After returning to the country, she was even placed into a hospital job right by her father’s side in the hopes that he could keep an eye on her.

Contrary to expectations, even with her father’s supervision, she remained licentious and unrestrained.

She frequently spent nights out, messing around with men.

Previously, she had a history of not returning home for five days and nights. When Huang Wende found her, she was actually in the company of a group of men, having the time of her life.

She was even caught on video, leading Huang Wende to spend nearly ten million to buy those videos back.

Otherwise, if those videos were released online, he, Huang Wende, would have lost all his face.

Huang Wende was sighing, thinking that Huang Meihua’s disappearance this time was the same as before, secretly fooling around somewhere.

”Uncle, my cousin is already ruined. There’s no saving her now. If you still have the ability to father children, I advise you to start a new family and have a second child,” Huang Hua suggested.

Upon hearing this, Huang Wende rolled his eyes, ”I’m old enough to be a grandfather, how could I still father children?”

Huang Hua continued to suggest, ”Why don’t you go and ask Director Lin Dong from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department? His medical skills are superb, surely he could rejuvenate you...”

”Roll! Don’t talk to me about that Lin Dong. He and I are irreconcilable!” Huang Wende roared in anger.

Upon hearing this, Huang Hua hurriedly said, ”Uncle, please don’t oppose Director Lin Dong. Otherwise, you will regret it.”

”He’s just a director, and I’m the Vice President. Why would I be afraid of him?” Huang Wende huffed.

Huang Hua wanted to say more, but at this moment, he had already seen Lin Dong.

Instantly, he was so scared he was speechless.

At this point, he really wanted to advise his uncle not to provoke Lin Dong.

But he dared not reveal Lin Dong’s identity.

All he could do was feel anxious in his heart.

”Lin... Director Lin Dong, hello, hello...” Upon seeing Lin Dong, he greeted him as if he’d seen a ghost or god, hurrying to say hello.

Lin Dong looked at him coldly and spoke indifferently, ”Are you two gossiping about me here?”

Huang Hua was so frightened, he felt as if he was going to lose his soul, ”No, no, I was advising my uncle to make peace with you...”

However, Huang Wende disdainfully said, ”Lin Dong, so what if I talk about you?”

”Talking about others behind their backs is not a good habit,” Lin Dong said calmly.

”Hmph, what if I talk about you to your face? Lin Dong, I am the Vice President, your superior. Even if I scold you pointing at your nose, you have to take it...”

Huang Wende was not able to finish his sentence as Huang Hua interrupted, ”Uncle, just shut your mouth.”

”What? Huang Hua, have you lost your mind? How dare you speak to me like that?” Huang Wende raged.

At this moment, Huang Hua, trying to prove his innocence, that he wasn’t gossiping about Lin Dong, and that he didn’t dare to oppose Lin Dong, spoke directly to his uncle Huang Wende with a loud voice:

”Huang Wende, if you continue to oppose Director Lin Dong, then I will sever ties with you!”

”Sever ties? Huang Hua, have you gone mad!” Huang Wende thought Huang Hua had truly lost his mind.

”I’ll ask you one last time, will you continue to oppose Director Lin Dong?” Huang Hua asked Huang Wende.

Huang Wende snorted, ”Lin Dong and I, we are irreconcilable!”

”Fine, then we sever ties. From now on, there’s no relationship between us,” after saying this, he looked at Lin Dong

and trembled, ”Director Lin Dong, you see, I’ve severed ties with this Huang Wende, I truly wasn’t gossiping about you just now. If he provokes you in the future, it has nothing to do with me.”

He was distancing himself from Huang Wende in front of Lin Dong,

lest Huang Wende provoke Lin Dong and Huang Hua get implicated when Lin Dong decided to deal with him.

Seeing this scene, Lin Dong was left speechless.

As for Huang Wende, he yelled at Huang Hua, ”You kid, you’ve really lost your mind. How could our Huang Family produce such a brain-dead person like you...”

”You’re the brain-dead one. If you provoke Mr. Lin Dong, you won’t even know how you died...” Huang Hua secretly said to himself.

Considering how Huang Wende was inquiring about his daughter’s whereabouts, it seemed likely that he had nothing to do with the incident involving his daughter, Huang Meihua.

He had, in effect, spared his own life.

After learning this, Lin Dong did not bother with these two any further and went on to work in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department.

During the noon break, Qiao Bing came to him at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department and said,

”Lin Dong, there’s something I need to tell you.”
