Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1527: Chapter 860: The Rise of Jin Shirong

Liang Yuan listened carefully to Li Ting recount her past.

It turned out that before the apocalypse, Li Ting was a director of Mengya Company.

When the great flood arrived, she immediately led many people to relocate to Chi Mountain.

Afterward, because Chi Mountain had a higher terrain, she brought back a lot of company employees and rescued more people in succession.

During this time, they naturally collected a large amount of daily necessities.

It was precisely because of this that they were able to survive the later more difficult period.

Until the flood completely submerged the city, people were trapped on Chi Mountain, lacking food, leading to internal disagreements and conflicts gradually developing.

Some people began to break rules, bullying women and snatching food.

Li Ting had established authority among the people from the very beginning, so she worked hard to maintain order.

However, unfortunately, she was a woman.

Before awakening her superpower, no matter how capable she was, it was hard to convince a group of men.

After all, in a society reverted to primitive times, personal combat power had become the absolute way of speaking.

In this situation, the struggle persisted, and during this process, Jin Shirong, from the bottom, gradually stood out.

Jin Shirong, originally fat and tall, was also daring and violent, quickly gathered a group of followers and formed a force.

“At first, when he established his force, he merely stole things, but as time passed, the rain continued and the rescue never arrived.”

“Even the internet was gone, isolating everyone from the outside world, which made Jin Shirong bolder.”

“He began not to be satisfied with some food and drink, and with overwhelming lust, he began reaching out to the women who were in distress.”

“Initially, he was hesitant, only using food to lure women into his arms.”

“Once he did this more frequently, his courage grew.”

“Because he found that even if he didn’t provide food and directly occupied some women, nobody could do anything to him.”

“Just like that, he began his path of woman hunting.”

“At first, he only dared to target single women, but later, this guy even colluded with his men and started snatching beautiful women in broad daylight, daring to injure their husbands or boyfriends and drag them into rooms for assault.”

“Some women couldn’t take it and committed suicide the next day.”

“At the time, I still remember the first one to commit suicide was a girl who was usually very cheerful and loved to laugh.”

“I remember her, she was our company’s administrative staff, just graduated not long ago.”

“Her boyfriend was also in our company then.”

“Jin Shirong knocked out her boyfriend and snatched her right in front of him.”

“The girl couldn’t bear the humiliation and jumped into the flood to commit suicide the next day.”

“Jin Shirong was startled, so he calmed down for a few days.”

“One night, that girl’s boyfriend went to Jin Shirong’s place in the dark, ready to risk his life.”

“Unexpectedly, in the face of crisis, Jin Shirong awakened his superpower and killed the boy on the spot.”

“From then on, Jin Shirong was completely unleashed, acting recklessly, wanting women in front of everyone and daring to drag them into rooms.”

“Many times, we stood outside and could hear the screams of women inside.”

“Everyone was furious, but no one dared to resist.”

“Relying on his superpower, Jin Shirong nearly ruled the entire mountain.”

“He even set his sights on me.”

“Finally, one day, he led a group of people and rushed into my area, intending to use force.”

“There were quite a few people supporting me too, and we had a battle.”

“Jin Shirong relied on his powerful physique after awakening his superpower, killing and injuring many people.”

“And it was at this time that I also awakened my superpower.”

“My superpower is Spiritual Control.”

“For those whose Spiritual Power is inferior to mine, I can barely control their behaviors and actions at first.”

“Relying on this ability, I temporarily escaped from Jin Shirong’s encirclement.”

“Because Jin Shirong bullied too many people, more and more people turned to support me.”

“In this situation, there were more people on my side than on theirs.”

“This situation lasted until Jin Shirong developed his Replication Superpower and started learning to replicate superpowers, our situation took a sharp downturn.”

As Li Ting continued recalling, Liang Yuan gradually learned the origins of Mengya and the rise of Jin Shirong.

In the early days, the Mengya organization was a mess on the mountain, but as time passed, more and more people awakened their superpowers.

These people gradually split into two factions, led by Li Ting and Jin Shirong.

In this process, because Li Ting had more followers and awakened superpowers, they gradually gained the upper hand.

Seeing this, many fence-sitters betrayed Jin Shirong and defected to Li Ting’s side.

Just as Li Ting thought Jin Shirong was a post-autumn locust, bound to be defeated by her.

Jin Shirong finally further developed his superpower, unexpectedly researching how to replicate others’ superpowers!

So Jin Shirong’s strength increased daily, his personal combat power gradually exceeded others, once again becoming the strongest superpower user on Chi Mountain.

Li Ting’s situation suddenly became dangerous.

Subsequent developments were basically similar to the initial four major factions in Yangshan.

The two sides began to fight each other, seize territory, and compete for resources.

A balance gradually formed, and eventually, two shelters were established on the southeast sides of Chi Mountain.

Although there were still constant skirmishes, they were not as large-scale as at the start.

Until the flood surged, completely submerging the city, and the sea tide followed.

In the first unprepared situation, mutant creatures from the sea crawled up Chi Mountain and indiscriminately attacked all humans.

It was only at this time, regardless of whether it was Jin Shirong or Li Ting, they realized that in this flood apocalypse, not only did humans mutate, but the creatures in the flood were also mutating!

Even mutant beasts in the mountains and forests appeared!

The two sides could no longer care about their grievances and quickly began to develop their respective forces.

Li Ting, as a former Mengya board member, had a broad vision.

She always felt that for humans to survive, they must rely on technology.

So she quickly organized the people with scientific research abilities in the shelter to re-establish the Mengya research team.

After all, she had management experience, and managing the team was very smooth for her.

Soon, the shelter on her side was managed systematically.

As they continued to study mutant beasts and superpowers, they gradually learned a lot about superpowers.

Even the magical Superpower Stone was first discovered by Li Ting’s team and applied to weapons.

On the other side, Jin Shirong wasn’t as clever, and he could only focus on researching his superpower.

As he delved deeper into his replication superpower, he discovered that it not only replicates human superpowers but also the abilities of mutant beasts.

This discovery rapidly enhanced his power, leading him to crazily replicate various abilities.

When most people only had one superpower, Jin Shirong possessed dozens, making him appear extremely terrifying.

In this development trend, Li Ting’s group became increasingly powerful, with more advanced weapons.

While Jin Shirong’s side’s personal strength grew more terrifying, although their number was small, they were all ruthless criminals.

This situation finally changed when Jin Shirong replicated a superpower called [Azure Seed].

This was a wood attribute superpower.

Jin Shirong could condense azure seeds and force the opponent to ingest them.

From then on, if they dared to betray him, he could instantly make the Azure Seed germinate and tear apart the host’s body.

This power was very similar to Liang Yuan’s parasite species ability.

But the difference was evident, as Liang Yuan’s parasite species primarily parasitized in the sea of consciousness.

Whereas Jin Shirong’s [Azure Seed] superpower mainly parasitized in the flesh.

Li Ting said, “After he acquired this superpower, he sneaked into our shelter at midnight and secretly put these [Azure Seeds] into the drinking water.”

“Our people didn’t notice, and many unknowingly consumed these [Azure Seeds].”

Liang Yuan sighed. It was not hard to imagine the outcome.

Clearly, Jin Shirong won.

Li Ting said, “You must have guessed, under the threat of life and death, most people chose to give up resistance.”

“I could only escape with some people.”

“After this, Jin Shirong became the leader of Mengya and swiftly developed following my management plan.”

“And his power kept growing, until… he caught me.”

Li Ting paused at this point.

Liang Yuan looked at her and asked, “Then how did you become a board member of Mengya?”

“He wanted to force me, but I would rather die than submit, so he proposed to share Mengya with me.”

“You agreed?”

“Yes, he said he wouldn’t force me, he wanted me to see what this world would become, and I would willingly become his woman eventually.”

Liang Yuan shook his head, Jin Shirong really was arrogant.

Li Ting said, “I didn’t believe it at the time, but he seemed truly inflated with confidence.”

“I suggested establishing a board of directors, and he agreed after only considering it for a day.”

“My intention was actually to use the board position to gather experts and prepare to confront Jin Shirong together.”

“But later I found out that the reason Jin Shirong agreed was also to use the Mengya board position to attract powerful people to join.”

“Hmm? Why did he want to recruit superpower experts?” Liang Yuan asked immediately.

Li Ting said, “At first, I thought he was ambitious and wanted to expand his power.”

“But later, I realized that many people who joined the board died outside for various reasons.”

“Until one day, I saw Jin Shirong demonstrate the superpowers of some deceased board members, then I understood.”

“He… killed them and replicated their superpowers!”
