Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1219: Chapter 557: Ge Liangen Steps Forward

As soon as Ge Liangen entered the camp, a fierce look appeared on his square face.

He wasn’t an ordinary soldier; he had already served in the Guangfu Military District before the great flood.

Because of his irritable personality, he had been disciplined several times for violating military rules.

Originally, he was supposed to retire this year, and he had once worried about it.

Because after retirement, life wouldn’t be as comfortable as in the army.

Moreover, he didn’t have any strong connections back home, so he didn’t know how he’d be arranged after retirement.

So during the time just before retirement, because of his bad mood, he violated discipline several times.

Unexpectedly, after the great flood hit, not only did he not have to retire, but due to his ruthless personality, he gained the favor of the Hawk Faction high command and was promoted to company commander.

However, the people he managed were all new recruits gathered by the military after the great flood.

These new soldiers couldn’t compare with the veterans in terms of physical fitness, obedience to management, personal ideology, and morals.

But Ge Liangen was satisfied; after the great flood, under the Hawke Faction’s management, the soldiers no longer received ideological education.

Instead, they increased physical discipline, using direct violence to manage this group of new recruits.

Although this management style quickly improved the obedience and combat ability of these new recruits,

the ideological education did not keep up, and the personal qualities did not improve.

It even amplified the violent tendencies in some people.

Gradually, this led to the current situation where military hooligans are rampant.

Ge Liangen’s words made Zhang Dazhi’s face darken.

He knew Ge Liangen’s hot temper, but this time, instead of arguing, he responded seriously: ”Old Ge, something has happened.”

Ge Liangen raised an eyebrow at his demeanor: ”What’s going on?”

”Liang is back.”

With this, Ge Liangen’s expression slightly changed: ”Liang? Liang Yuan?”

”Yes.”

”He’s not dead? Didn’t Captain Ding say Liang was trapped on the Dark Attribute Floating Island? How did he come back?” Ge Liangen couldn’t help but ask.

”Not sure, maybe there’s been a change on that Floating Island. We need to contact Guangfu as soon as possible.”

”We’ll probably need to alter the plan for Yangshan.”

Ge Liangen frowned, asking unwillingly: ”We’ve been setting this up for so long, just about to close the net, but just because of someone named Liang, we have to change the plan?”

”Is this Liang really that formidable?”

Zhang Dazhi’s expression was heavy, nodding slightly: ”Very formidable, I can’t see through him, I can’t even withstand a single move.”

”Huh? You fought him? Wait, people downstairs said you got beaten up by folks from Yangshan today, damn it, could it be this Liang?” Ge Liangen couldn’t help but ask.

Zhang Dazhi was speechless, surprised by how fast the news spread.

”Yes, I just engaged with him.”

”Really that strong?”

”Very strong!”

”Did you check his Main Attribute? How many points?”

”Didn’t have the chance, but definitely over eighty points. You know, my Main Attribute is already at 74 points. For him to take me down in one move, it must exceed eighty points!”

Ge Liangen frowned: ”Eighty points, that’s indeed troubling.”

”I’ve only reached 75 points myself, but Old Zhang, don’t worry too much, you and I together might not lose.”

”Only a five or six-point difference, the only concern is his strong influence at Yangshan. If Zhao Kai and Li Qinghua join in, that’ll be troublesome.”

Zhang Dazhi felt Ge Liangen didn’t grasp his words, unable to resist saying: ”I said this Liang’s Main Attribute is at least above 80 points, that’s the minimum, not the maximum.”

”His strength is formidable, although Captain Ding hasn’t said it outright, the fact that even Captain Ding acknowledges his strength means he’s exceptional. Eighty points is just my lower estimate; his strength might exceed eighty points.”

Ge Liangen, not convinced, said nonchalantly: ”Is he really that strong? Only a fight will tell.”

”But just in case, we must report the situation to Captain Ding soon.”

Zhang Dazhi slightly nodded after hearing this. Although Ge Liangen was arrogant, he wasn’t foolish, at least he knew to notify Guangfu immediately.

”Recently, tell your men to keep a low profile, and wait for instructions from Guangfu before we proceed to the next step.”

Ge Liangen nodded slightly: ”Alright.”

While the two were talking, a commotion suddenly rose outside.

Zhang Dazhi frowned, shouting towards outside: ”Someone, what’s happening out there?”

A soldier quickly came in, looking flustered: ”Captain, it’s bad, folks from Yangshan captured Zhao Liang, stripped him, cut his tongue, and hung him outside the sunroom.”

”Now many are out there mocking us.”

”What!” Zhang Dazhi’s face instantly turned grim, jumping up to ask: ”Who did it? Damn it, did you catch the perpetrator?”

Ge Liangen’s face also turned sour, swearing: ”Shit, what are you good for? Hurry up and catch them!”

The soldier’s face turned pale, saying: ”The people from Yangshan won’t let us. They’re gathered outside the sunroom, not letting us approach.”

”Damn!”

Ge Liangen angrily kicked a chair over, swearing: ”Are you idiots? If they won’t let you, you won’t do anything? Do you really think we’re easily bullied as the military?”

Zhang Dazhi heard something unusual, stopping Ge Liangen, then asked the soldier: ”Did you say folks from Yangshan blocked you?”

”Did you make any move?”

”No, you previously instructed us to be arrogant but avoid using force.”
