Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1214: Chapter 552: Gathering Population

Liang Yuan had long anticipated this scene.

Once winter comes, ice and snow cover the ground, and the water freezes over.

When humans can move freely without fear of floods, the war may have only just begun.

This small settlement called Fanshan Island in front of him doesn’t even have a single Genetic Species expert, yet it occupies such a mountain peak.

One must know, a mountain signifies trees, land Mutant Beasts, and also land resources.

These are scarce resources after the apocalypse’s great flood.

This group could defend this mountain before because the flood spread, and others couldn’t leave their homes.

Now that the flood is frozen, humans can travel.

Such a mountain, without experts holding the fort, being attacked and slain is virtually predictable.

Liang Yuan thought of Yangshan. Given Yangshan’s fame in the New District, after the flood freezes, more people would likely come to Yangshan looking for food.

Withdrawing his finger, Liang Yuan looked calm as he helped the nearly fainting Nie Xin up.

”Oh, there’s actually an expert?”

”Such a small place like Fanshan actually has a Genetic Species level expert.”

The three people in the air looked over in surprise.

One of them suddenly raised his hand and flicked a finger.

”Woo—!”

A piercing sound suddenly came from behind Liang Yuan.

They saw a shattered blade fiercely shoot towards the back of Liang Yuan’s head.

This is Telekinesis manipulating an object!

”Watch out!”

Nie Xin immediately shouted, her hands gathering a wind wall, attempting to block the shattered blade.

However, her superpower was too weak, and the blade effortlessly tore through the wind wall, swiftly shooting towards Liang Yuan.

Liang Yuan only glanced lightly, and instantly, the void froze, as if space itself had paused.

The shattered blade was immediately suspended in the void.

In midair, the Spirit Ability User manipulating the blade’s expression changed.

He frantically urged his Telekinesis, trying to control the blade.

Yet no matter how he urged his superpower, even as veins bulged on his forehead, the blade remained utterly immobile!

”Not good, he’s a Spiritual Power expert!”

”Be careful!”

The two people beside him were instantly shocked and immediately attacked simultaneously.

In an instant, two Spiritual Powers attacked Liang Yuan.

Buzz! Buzz!

The buzzing sound of Spiritual Power echoed in the minds of everyone nearby.

Immediately, many people clutched their heads, feeling intense pain, and rolled on the ground in agony.

This Fanshan Island is a small settlement, without superpower technology, and unaware that Spiritual Power can be blocked by golden substances.

Thus, nearly no one present could withstand the Spiritual Attack.

These three floating Spirit Ability Users had all awakened Genetic Species powers.

With the three joining forces, no one on Fanshan Island could withstand it.

Even Nie Xin fell to the ground, clutching her head and howling in pain.

Seeing this, Liang Yuan looked up at the three: ”Three Genetic Species experts, it seems the force behind you isn’t weak.”

As Liang Yuan spoke, his Spiritual Power suddenly surged forth!

A terrifying Spiritual Power of 100 points swept through.

The three in the air’s expressions changed dramatically simultaneously!

”Not good!”

”Quick, escape!”

Boom!

One remaining person didn’t even have time to speak before his head exploded.

In a flash, he fell from the sky, landing with a thud and turning into a pile of flesh.

The remaining two also spurted nosebleeds almost simultaneously, their bodies uncontrollably falling from the sky.

With a wave of his hand, Liang Yuan manipulated them with his powerful Telekinesis, pulling them over instead of letting them fall to their deaths.

At this moment, blood flowed from all seven orifices of the two, indicating severe Spiritual Power backlash.

Retracting his Spiritual Power, Liang Yuan looked at the two and asked, ”Who are you?”

The young man on the left weakly coughed up blood: ”Spare, spare us—”

The other stammered: ”We, we’re from Beichen Island.”

Liang Yuan frowned: ”Beichen Island? What is that place?”

”Beichen Island is the second-highest island in Baoshan City,” Nie Xin said, eyes red with rage as she stared at the two Spirit Ability Users, ”Mr. Liang, these bastards are notorious bandits. They rob people and food everywhere. Besides Yang Baoshan, there’s nothing in Baoshan City they don’t dare rob.”

”So it’s a force organized by a group of bandits?”

Liang Yuan shook his head slightly and asked, ”How could such a force develop, isn’t there anyone managing in the Shelter on Yang Baoshan?”

Nie Xin shook her head: ”I don’t know.”

Liang Yuan thought to himself, if there were such a bandit organization near Yangshan, he would be sleepless, trying to eliminate them.

Just like the Guangfu Three Great Sects, these three Sects are seriously threatening Yangshan.

Liang Yuan, upon his return, will surely take action in Guangfu personally.

”I’ll leave it to you, dare to kill them?” Liang Yuan looked at Nie Xin.

Without any hesitation, Nie Xin fiercely thrust her hands, and two gusts of wind whistled out.

Puff, puff!

The heads of the two Spirit Ability Genetic Species experts were instantly severed.

Seeing this scene, all the bandits from Beichen Island turned pale, and each one quickly came to their senses, hastily dropping their weapons and sprinting away.

Liang Yuan did not chase after these people.

For him, this was just a passing place.

Liang Yuan turned to leave.

At this moment, Nie Xin suddenly stood up and shouted, ”Mr. Liang!”

Liang Yuan paused his steps, turned, and looked at her: ”Hmm?”

”Where... are you going?”

”Why?” Liang Yuan didn’t answer, instead looking at her in confusion.

Nie Xin gritted her teeth: ”I want to follow you.”

She understood that in the apocalypse, only by following a powerful expert could one truly survive.

Nie Xin’s actions immediately attracted the attention of many onlookers.

At this moment, the man with the gun from earlier walked over, his expression serious as he called out, ”Sir, please wait.”

Liang Yuan looked at him, ”What’s the matter?”

”May I ask your name? I am Li Hao, the leader here. Before the great flood, I was a police officer, and this gun is my service weapon.”

He hurriedly explained about the gun in his hand, worried Liang Yuan might misunderstand.

Liang Yuan nodded slightly and said, ”My name is Liang Yuan. You can call me Mr. Liang. What do you need?”

”Mr. Liang, I know my request may seem abrupt, but I really have no other option.”

”I wish to ask you to help us get through this crisis.”

”I know you’re a master at the Genetic Species Level; those people from Beichen Island definitely won’t let us go.”

”Please help us.”

As he spoke, this middle-aged policeman suddenly knelt down in front of Liang Yuan with a thud.

Liang Yuan frowned and shifted to the side, asking, ”What are you doing?”

”Mr. Liang, I know this puts you in a difficult position, but I truly have no other recourse.”

”I beg you, please save these elderly, women, and children.”

Li Hao gestured to the women and children who had just endured the ravages of war behind him.

The ground was still covered with many young men’s bodies.

The Beichen Island bandits specifically killed men and kidnapped women and children.

So here on Fanshan Island, most survivors are women and children, and many elderly have died.

Liang Yuan’s gaze flickered slightly; he thought for a moment and suddenly asked, ”Are you afraid of the dark?”

”What?”

Li Hao was taken aback, somewhat unclear of its meaning.

Liang Yuan said, ”I can help you, but there’s a condition: are you afraid of the dark? If you’re not afraid of the dark, I can help you.”

He thought of the Floating Island of the Abyssal Mouth.

Now that the ice has frozen, the Floating Island of the Abyssal Mouth cannot continue to drift and is destined to be trapped here.

Fortunately, the Abyssal Mouth is not too far from this Fanshan Island; perhaps they can relocate these people to the floating island.

Even though there is no light on the island, it doesn’t mean they can’t light fires and cook.

This group can settle there and help guard the floating island for him.

Liang Yuan has already made some plans for the utilization of the Floating Island of the Abyssal Mouth.

However, all plans need people to execute them.

Population is the primary productive force.

”We’re not afraid. We’ve survived the great flood, how could we be afraid of the dark?” Li Hao shouted immediately.

Others also looked at Liang Yuan with pleading eyes.

Upon hearing this, Liang Yuan nodded slightly, ”Alright, pack your things and come with me.”

”Mr. Liang, where are we going?”

”You’ll know by following me.”

Upon hearing this, everyone began packing their luggage and handling the bodies.

Many women wiped their tears, crying into sobbing heaps.

They had lived through the most difficult times of the great flood, and now that the floodwaters had frozen, they had finally settled down on this mountain.

No one thought there would be more deaths.

A sad atmosphere hung over Fanshan Island.

Liang Yuan said to Li Hao and Nie Xin, ”You will return to Fanshan Island in the future. Currently, it is your only source of food, right?”

Li Hao said, ”We can also fish through the ice, but the ice layer is so thick that someone has to constantly guard the ice hole to prevent it from freezing over again.”

Liang Yuan nodded slightly and said, ”That’s not too bad. At least there’s a way to get food from the water.”

”Later on Fanshan Island, try to grow some vegetables and raise some mutant beasts that can live in the Grotto Heaven.”

Li Hao couldn’t help but say, ”We can’t keep them; if no one watches them, they’ll be poached.”

”Step by step. Once I’ve settled you in, you must establish armed forces.”

Liang Yuan said casually, ”By the way, following me means you’ll have to obey my commands in the future; you know the rules, right?”

Li Hao nodded quickly, ”I understand.”

In the apocalypse, the law of the strong prevails — he already knew this.

A day passed, and Liang Yuan stayed on Fanshan Island overnight.

The people there packed their things and followed Liang Yuan’s lead.

The snow on the ice was too thick to walk directly.

Fortunately, the people of Fanshan Island were already used to it, having devised their own travel methods.

Everyone had long sleds tied to their feet, so they did not sink into the thick snow.

Moreover, with the sleds, travel became much faster.

However, the population was large, and they carried many things.

By the time they reached the Floating Island of the Abyssal Mouth, it was already afternoon.

Looking at the huge black hole-like Abyssal Mouth ahead, Li Hao and Nie Xin were stunned!

”This...what is this place?”

”Mr. Liang, what is this?”

Liang Yuan said, ”You know about floating islands?”

Nie Xin and Li Hao were immediately taken aback, looked at each other, and shook their heads.

Liang Yuan realized these people were truly oblivious to outside news.

The floating island news had long spread in Guangfu.

Yet this small Fanshan Island’s inhabitants were completely unaware.

Fortunately, they encountered him; otherwise, one can only imagine what fate would await the people of Fanshan Island.

Liang Yuan estimated there are still many similar islands like Fanshan Island.

These people have not been in contact with the outside world; their information is delayed and if they continue to be closed off, they will likely be annexed by powerful forces like Beichen Island.

Before winter arrives, the Guangfu Three Great Sects’ ships have already begun expanding invasively, capturing populations.

Now that the water is frozen, the Three Great Sects may have expanded further.

He wondered how Yangshan is doing now.

He needs to hurry back.

Liang Yuan said to the two of them, ”This is a floating island; from now on, you shall live on this island.”

”It is filled with dark attribute energy, light cannot propagate inside.”

”Stay here temporarily. At least here you are safe from the people of Beichen Island.”

Everyone looked shocked and followed Liang Yuan into the Floating Island of the Abyssal Mouth.
