Apocalyptic Flood: Sexy Beauty Neighbor's Midnight Plea for Food

Chapter 1098: Chapter 444: Zhao Kai and Old Ma’s Results (2)

Next, others continued to report one after another.

”The military base in Meishan has been completed, with Yunquan Temple as the center, we have established a militarized management base, and the number of people has exceeded a thousand.”

”We plan to hold a speed dating event next month for singles to solve the problem of being single.”

”Let them settle down in Yangshan as soon as possible, forming a ’home’ emotional bond with Yangshan.”

”This way, they can fully integrate into Yangshan and become part of our Yangshan community.”

...

Zhao Kai’s main task in Meishan is to train newcomers.

Li Qinghua’s group, after coming out, has officially integrated into the large Yangshan community.

Li Qinghua has even started to open a factory.

Later, among the large number of people brought back by Liang Yuan from Sunshine New City and Kangjia Garden, many were women and children.

These people were also sent to the military base for short-term training and education.

During this process, Zhao Kai invited Granny Li, a former elder from the neighborhood office, to help with the ideological work for these women, encouraging them to choose a partner in Yangshan early and ideally stabilize their lives.

Granny Li is a veteran in the neighborhood office and is adept at this kind of work.

She quickly connected with various departments to facilitate this task.

Currently, this event is scheduled for the beginning of next month.

Liang Yuan couldn’t help but laugh after hearing this.

”This idea is excellent, only when people feel secure can Yangshan quickly develop.”

”Hold the speed dating event in the Sunshine District, Yang Mei, please coordinate with various departments to free up the Sunshine District.”

”But there is one principle, Zhao Kai, everything must be done on a voluntary basis, no one should be forced to participate, understand?”

Zhao Kai solemnly replied, ”I understand.”

He naturally understood Liang Yuan’s concerns, as most of those women were ordinary people with little ability to resist.

Liang Yuan was worried that these women were forced to participate in the speed dating event against their will.

However, Zhao Kai was aware of these women’s situation.

Now, these women are ordinary people with little ability to earn Points.

This is not pre-apocalyptic times anymore; the era where women could hold up half the sky has passed.

In the era of the Great Flood, personal combat power has been infinitely magnified.

Women naturally have a disadvantage in this aspect, which is something that cannot be helped.

Especially this group of women, who have mostly suffered through apocalyptic disasters.

Now, finding a reliable man for protection is something they are actually willing to do.

At least from the news Zhao Kai received from Granny Li, most women want to participate in this speed dating event.

This alone is enough to indicate their mindset.

In today’s era, women without the protection of a man really find it hard to survive.

Unless she herself is a powerful Superpower User.

In that case, she doesn’t need to worry.

Granny Li suddenly spoke up, ”There’s an issue, currently in Yangshan, the ratio of men to women isn’t very balanced, more men than women.”

Zhao Kai thought for a moment and asked, ”Should we restrict the conditions for male participation?”

Granny Li said, ”I think we can, at least they should have some assets or the ability to earn Points.”

”Otherwise, how can I explain things to these poor kids?”

Zhao Kai looked at Liang Yuan, with an inquiring gaze.

Liang Yuan thought for a moment and nodded, ”Granny Li’s consideration makes sense, even if a man succeeds in speed dating, he may have trouble supporting a partner without the ability to earn Points.”

”Let’s restrict men’s personal assets or their ability to earn Points.”

”Understood, Brother Liang.”

Even in the apocalypse, a man without ability is still unlikely to find a wife.

Liang Yuan isn’t looking down on men without ability; rather, that’s just how the world operates.

The strong will always have priority in choosing a partner.

Compared to pre-apocalypse, at least now everyone is starting from the same line.

Those who are willing to work hard and fight have a chance.

Liang Yuan hasn’t restricted the speed dating event to only Superpower Users.

There are ordinary people who work hard and fight, like Hu Weimin’s family, none of whom have awakened a superpower, but they still manage to earn Points and support their family.

This is why Liang Yuan restricts assets rather than superpowers.

A capable man, even without superpowers, can definitely earn Points in Yangshan’s safe environment, if he works hard.

Everyone has opportunities, but if one doesn’t make an effort, then there’s no help for them.

When Zhao Kai finished his report, the single men present immediately lit up with excitement.

Most of them lost their relatives in the Great Flood and couldn’t bear long periods of living alone.

But Yangshan has rules, and it’s impossible to act recklessly.

Faced with such an opportunity, many immediately became interested.

It’s important to note, those women brought back by Liang Yuan, if they could be held captive by Lai Zhiyong and the others, they must be somewhat attractive.

So it’s understandable that everyone is eager.

Once Zhao Kai’s report was almost finished, it was Old Ma’s turn to report the current work results.

In the few days while Liang Yuan was away, Old Ma remodeled Sunshine District, the fort at Lingyun Slope, Li Qinghua’s paper factory, and led the construction of Meishan’s Yunquan Temple militarized base.

Besides, numerous high-rise buildings have been newly built in the valley of the complex, with floors constructed against the cliffs, many houses measuring around 60 square meters.

As Yangshan’s population continues to increase, land resources are becoming more and more scarce.

Currently, Yangshan does not permit individuals to privately build houses, one must apply for home purchase at the construction department, pay Points for the house, and have the house allocated based on family size.

This approach utilizes land resources with high efficiency.

Previously privately established homes occupied some advantage, and later they can even apply to the construction department to transform them into high-rise buildings for rental.

This counts as a preferential benefit for the early people who relied on them.

As for houses dug in caves, it’s impossible to change their structure.

However, this type of housing will be strictly prohibited from further expanding internal space.

Currently, because Old Ma has awakened the Earth Attribute Superpower, he has thoroughly established his position as the head of the architectural engineering department.

Now, he has recruited many Strength-type Superpower Users to work for him, holding considerable power.

Therefore, with support from high-level people like Yang Mei, Ding Yan, and Zhao Kai, and preferential policies for the elderly in the Shelter, this architectural reform encountered almost no resistance and was smoothly implemented.

It can be said that during the days while Liang Yuan was away, the greatest changes in Yangshan have been these architectural changes.
