The Great Thief

“This pair’s really amusing. They’re a little cute.”

“How are they cute? I think this guy probably found it really hard to find a girlfriend. His EQ’s too low.”

“The guy up there has heaps of experience. They’ve definitely tried it before.”

“I just don’t get why people are like this these days. Gender equality? How come it has to be the girl? I feel like this guy’s not bad, but he’s still not thorough enough. If it was me, I’d just slap her right to the floor…”

“You have a girlfriend?”

“Er…girl…girlfriend? Yeah…yeah, what?”

“Hehe, I know what your girlfriend is called!”

“No…no way.”

“She’s either called little left, or little right.”

“Hahaha…”

“Hahaha…”

Lu Li and Water Fairy had gone through some simple negotiations. Lu Li had signed a new contract with great humiliation. Originally, they were alternating between the two of them and would see who was running faster. If they were running fast, they would be running to the third stop.

Now, in the new contract, no matter how Water Fairy was running in the second stage, the third stage was still going to be run by her.

Because of this, Lu Li didn’t persist. For one, his EQ wasn’t that low, and he also didn’t have faith in himself.

Although he didn’t have personal experience with this, he did know a thing or two. However, when it came to actually doing it, only then did he realize that his knowledge wasn’t enough for him to dominate the others. The racehorse rules weren’t hard to understand. As long as you weren’t an idiot, you could easily figure out how to run faster.

Such an event that didn’t involve any skill wasn’t suitable for a top player like himself.

Now, they were going out for the second time. Like before, Lu Li sat at the back and Water Fairy at the front. Actually, they could change positions, but Water Fairy’s field of vision would be completely blocked. In all these competitions, only the petite guys would sit in front of their girlfriends.

Lu Li hugged Water Fairy’s waist…

“Damn, even if this guy only had his eyes showing, I would still be able to see his pervert smile.”

“This girl’s body is so thin. She must be hot, and her eyes are so pretty too…”

“Let go of that girl! I’m coming!”

They had guessed right. As Lu Li hugged Water Fairy’s waist, he felt a warmth in his heart.

“Don’t hug so tight! How can I still ride!?” Water Fairy’s scolded as her elbow sharply dug back.

Lu Li dully groaned. He had no choice but just to be serious, using both hands to pinch Water Fairy’s waist. This way, Water Fairy’s driving would not be affected, but it still felt just as good. His face was beaming like it was before.

Water Fairy still couldn’t get rid of him, and had no choice but to silently endure his actions.

Lu Li quickly realized that Water Fairy was in fact incredibly skilled.

The audience evidently realized this too, and they expressed their disdain towards Lu Li. It was such a shame that a girl like Water Fairy was with that wretched Lu Li.

They were originally ranked lower than 700, but since Water Fairy had assumed control of the horse, they were gradually rising.

When they arrived to the second rest stop, they had already entered into the top 100.

Actually, no matter if they were in the top 100 or the top 700, there wasn’t much of a difference between everyone. An improvement of 1 second could see them surpass many hundreds of opponents.

At this moment, Lu Li didn’t dare at all to suggest that he should drive. If the first stage was given to Water Fairy, then who knew? They could have already been in the top 3 by now. This made Lu Li feel a little depressed; his own girlfriend was too valiant.

In the third stage, Lu Li’s job was to help Water Fairy look out for Orbs of Light ahead. In this way, she wouldn’t have to divide her attention between looking and riding.

“Have you noticed? These two look a little familiar…”

At this time, the people who were watching Water Fairy and Lu Li weren’t just the few hundred at the start, but over 100,000 players. After all, they were originally in the top thousand, and had shot up to the top 100. Moreover, the reason for their success was because they had swapped to a girl driving.

After the number of spectators increased, people began to notice something.

“How are they familiar? I don’t see anything. Those two people are wrapped up so tightly. What’s with your eyes? How can you see something?”

“No way – there’s really something wrong with these people. Normal people don’t need to mask themselves like that.”

“Yeah, wearing masks means there’s something up.”

“Maybe it’s because their ugly.”

“Don’t be an idiot. Just look at that girl in the front! If she’s ugly, I wouldn’t believe it even if you beat me up.”

“These two would probably be recognized by a lot of people, so that’s why they are wearing masks. I can’t tell what professions they play, but their movements are agile and precise. If I’ve guessed correctly, they should be Thieves.”

“Dammit, that guy’s crazy. As soon as I heard what you said, I feel like it makes so much sense.”

“Same here!”

“If they’re Thieves, and they were destined for love in the game, and the girl’s pretty damn awesome…”

“Could it be that damn couple?”

“It can’t be! Is it really the damn couple?”

“This girl’s clothing is all very fashionable. I haven’t seen most of it before, but does anyone recognize the purple crystal?”

“I think it came out from some event before. It was bought away by Water Fairy at a high price, and the seller even boasted about it on the forums. There are only a few in the entire game, so it looks like it really is Water Fairy.”

“The guy’s sense of fashion is quite average. Lots of people have what he’s wearing, and Lu Li wore it a few times too.”

“That stingy Shameless Lu simply wouldn’t buy the latest clothes. He just wears that set, exposing himself as a poor idiot.”

“Their voices match the damn completely. It looks like they can’t hide anymore.”

“I never thought Lu Li was so harsh. He’s tiring out my goddess! Goddess, abandon him quickly! I’m much better at riding than him; I definitely wouldn’t be troubling you.”

“My Water girl is so awesome – 21st already, and there’s only 20 ahead of her! If she passes them, she’ll take the championship. If she wasn’t held up by that dodgy Lu Li, she would already be first by now.”

“I don’t approve of this relationship! Break up, break up immediately!”

And so, calling for a breakup became the chant of the crowd, and the attention they drew greatly increased the number of spectators. Even the official broadcast was switched to the scene here.

“Water girl is really so formidable!”

“Break it off with Lu Li! Drop him and you can run faster!”

Lu Li simply had no idea what others were saying about him, and he wasn’t interested, either. Nothing they could say would get under his skin at all.

All he knew was that he was getting closer and closer to the two pieces of Epic equipment and two Skill Points.
