The Great Thief

Corresponding to Brewfest, the Grim Guzzler right now was different from how it usually was.

Coren Direbrew led a group of Iron Dwarves here to plot something major. Hence, he became the new owner of the Grim Guzzler.

Players could find a spy at the bar’s entrance arranged by Brewfest’s special commissioner. There, they could receive the daily quests of Brewfest, which were probably the type that rewarded Brewfest coins.

Under his guidance, Lu Li and the others found Coren Direbrew.

At this moment, to figure out if Coren Direbrew was in a hostile state, players needed to go up and speak to him in order to activate the story mode. Then, the conversation would logically collapse and the two sides would both start fighting.

Every player could go and speak once to activate the Boss, which meant that five people could fight the Boss five times.

In the case of lower level players, this had hidden commercial opportunity. They could sell their cooldowns to wealthy men who wanted mounts, but the Boss still hadn’t given it out after their team had fought it 5 times…

What? Still nothing after 5 times?!

Even if it was 500 times, this wasn’t an uncommon occurrence. The mount from Brewfest wasn’t something easily found by the side of the road. To obtain the mount was a difficult task.

Plus, the Brewfest mount was something that bound upon being picked up. There was no way of it being exchanged. Even the rich had to enter into the Instance Dungeon themselves in order to get the mount.

In this way, once the rich players finished using their own cooldown, then they could only group new people in. The new players would give up their ownership of everything the Boss dropped as the cost in order to earn a lot of gold coins.

In fact, Lu Li had another method of making more money.

The little Hunter shrank back at Lu Li staring at her since his eyes were so piercing.

He sighed. She was still a playful child.

This type of child slavery was something that Lu Li felt a sense of guilt over.

At most, it would be having her help her own guild by looting bodies.

The conversation predictably failed. Coren Direbrew changed from a neutral to a hostile NPC. He insisted on destroying Brewfest as he believed it shouldn’t have existed in the first place. The other players were ordered to protect the alcohol, and they had no choice but resort to force.

In Lu Li’s last life, when he participated in Brewfest, Coren Direbrew as a festive Boss had been killed multiple times. He seemed easy to fight, and could be fought easily by a moderately powerful team.

However, the current iteration was different to back then. The Coren Direbrew now held wine glass-like weapons and dominated the Grim Guzzler. Anyone who underestimated him could be smashed to death.

The Boss’ own attack was not considered too high, especially since it was designed for five people to fight. Normally, as long as they had a competent Main Tank and a few pieces of Dark Gold equipment, they could pass.

Azure Sea Breeze was covered in Epic equipment, many of which were exquisite items.

Hence, the Boss’ first hit shocked him.

It wasn’t too hard, but rather, it was unexpectedly light. Azure Sea Breeze’s ego inflated instantly, but he held his tongue. Countless lessons had taught him to always be on guard for two cases.

The first case was a Boss that hadn’t shown its true colours.

The other case was Lu Li!

As such, he pulled the Boss’ aggro, treating it like a formidable enemy.

The enemy rushed at him very quickly. This type of enemy made Azure Sea Breeze’s heart beat frantically and his face flush red!

There was a blood elf girl with a charming figure and exposed clothing who danced rather passionately…

This scene made Azure Sea Breeze speechless and lose himself completely.

Lu Li was rather calm. In his eyes, there were only enemies or friends. No matter how charming they were, an enemy was an enemy.

Moreover, was there anyone more beautiful then Water Fairy on this earth? Water Fairy just wore more clothes.

The two young girls screamed and hugged each other, afraid of looking, but still stole a few glances. Their acting was so fake it would make one laugh.

Water Fairy had her focus more on Lu Li. These so-called computer-generated beauties were making it hard for her to concentrate. Lu Li’s focus made her happy, as he just glanced a look towards the Boss.

In reality, Lu Li shouldn’t have focused on the Boss at this moment.

Unless someone thought that the girl was called by the Boss as a distraction?

It couldn’t be so simple. As the bar girl danced, she threw the wine glass onto the players’ heads, after which a cask symbol appeared over them. Then, after a few seconds, the players with the cask symbol passed out.

Fortunately, it was Azure Sea Breeze who came over.

Azure Sea Breeze was trying to find a way to remove his dizziness. He was such an excellent Main Tank that he had many ways to control it. However, these methods usually would often have issues when facing a Boss and this time was no exception. There was not a single technique that could remove this dizziness.

“Stuff you! I’m gonna die!”

“There seems to be one more glass of wine in my bag. Hmm, the dizziness has been removed. Quickly, drink the new glass of wine in your bags!” Lu Li urged, pretending as if he had just discovered the solution to this problem.

As expected, in the bottom of the bag was a new glass of Beauty Direbrew.

Their dizziness was removed as soon as it was drunk. Azure Sea Breeze used his damage reduction and recovered his HP while Hachi Chan also healed him. This crisis had finally been averted.

The bar girl was Coren Direbrew’s strongest technique.

She would throw the glass as she danced. There was not much harm in attacking her, but she didn’t exist for long. One just had to wait for her to disappear.

Coren Direbrew would also call upon some regular smaller monsters. These smaller monsters would come at the players with a cask. The players hit by it would lose HP, fall, be run over, then lose more HP. However, this type of damage was rather insignificant. As long as the players weren’t run over by the cask several times then they normally won’t die.

As long as they killed this type of smaller monster, the cask would naturally roll over to one side.

Other than that, Coren Direbrew also had one sinister and vicious technique. When players had fallen to the ground rolling, they needed to run immediately, otherwise a screw drill would burst out of the ground.

Fortunately, everyone was rather sharp, and didn’t need Lu Li’s command to know there was a sinister movement beneath their feet.

The Grim Guzzler bar girls that Coren Direbrew called also began to come at a faster and faster rate. This also meant that later stages would usually have several bar girls in the arena.

If players couldn’t get rid of the cask on the top of their heads in time, there would be the issue of the whole team being destroyed sooner or later.

These bar girls were not all beautiful Blood Elves or human beauties.

Participants in the battle suffered inhumane torture where they wandered back and forth between temptation and disgust.
