The Great Thief

Hachi Chan reluctantly returned to her position. She was clearly not happy.

Was Lu Li her father? He was being way too strict! She only copied this from other people, since she thought it was quite funny.

There was another version that was full of hatred for the party leader: “Don’t look at me like that. I know what you’re all thinking. We just got squad wiped, so why do you think that I’ll follow what the leader says?”

Of course, Hachi Chan didn’t dare to use that one.

“Wandering, you’re way too low on the aggro list. You’re the Secondary Tank, so hurry up and pick up your slack,” Lu Li quickly reminded.

The Beast was not as strong as the previous Gyth and Rend combo. However, as a level 60 Boss, it was still fairly easy to slip up and get wiped, like in this situation, where Wandering was half-heartedly doing his job.

“Oh!”

Azure Sea Breeze had been bit on his face. It looked as though the Boss was kissing him.

This skill was Terrifying Roar, which was used starting from phase two. There were two versions – one for group battles and another was for parties. The first version was The Beast’s Roar, which inflicted Fear on players within a 10-metre radius. The duration of the fear was 5 seconds, but when cast on a party, only one person was the target.

The Beast would target whoever was first on the aggro list, so the Secondary Tank had the important responsibility to maintain the second position. Otherwise, the Boss might run towards the other members.

The party version was more difficult to deal with than the group version. Players affectionately called this skill The Beast’s Kiss.

When fighting in this Instance Dungeon, Main Tanks had to ‘sell their bodies’ to deal with it.

Wandering was already reminded of this before, so he immediately built up his aggro level. By this time, they finally passed the easier obstacle in phase two. Most squads would wipe here at least once.

Azure Sea Breeze’s 5 seconds of Fear quickly passed, and he quickly resumed his position.

The solution was just to build up enough aggro for the second aggressor.

Azure Sea Breeze secretly wanted to see Wandering get bit by the Boss. Wandering usually acted like a high and mighty noble, so he probably forgot about his younger self.

People would undoubtedly want to tear down a person like this.

Now the opportunity has arrived. If Wandering’s face was clamped by the Boss, then it had to be recorded!

“Eh? What the hell? Why is the Boss hitting me? Liu Jin Zhu! You idiot! You’ve played me!”

Liu Jin Zhu?

“Is it not your responsibility to tank? How did I play you? Far out, what did you call me before? Didn’t we both agree to it before?”

Wandering was decreasing his aggro level after Azure Sea Breeze’s 5 seconds was up, so Azure Sea Breeze could take over quite easily.

However, no one realised that Azure Sea Breeze would yell out Wandering’s real name.

Wandering was always a perfect child. Everyone loved him – even the animals.

The only thing that he hated was his name because Jin Zhu directly translated to Golden Pillar.

He had thought about checking his lineage and verifying whether he was adopted or not. He couldn’t be adopted, since he had such a pretty face. Who would throw away a boy like this?”

Liu Jin Zhu…Who would call their child that?

If he had brothers, they would have been called Liu Ying Zhu (Silver Pillar), Liu Tie Zhu (Metal Pillar)…

Truthfully, Wandering liked the name ‘Liu Tie Zhu’ better, because it was less conspicuous, which fit his character better, but in reality, it would have been better if his name was more grand-sounding.

“Cough…cough…Focus on pulling the Boss! Wandering, maintain your level of aggro at number two.” Lu Li looked at the eyes of hatred between those two and decided to quickly move to another topic.

As for the name, everyone pretended that they didn’t hear it.

If it was someone else like Fat Monkey who had the name, everyone would laugh. However, Wandering was a different case.

Azure Sea Breeze realised that he had called out Wandering’s real name, but it was too late.

He knew how much Wandering hated his name. When they were young, Wandering had left his home and cried while running to Azure Sea Breeze’s house. Azure Sea Breeze’s dad had promised that this secret would be between them, but he was sold out for a bottle of Maotai liquor.

Wandering stared with hatred at Azure Sea Breeze, who could only cover his face and breathe long sighs.

What could he do? From when they were young to now, even punching him wouldn’t fix anything. Furthermore, Wandering could not physically handle Azure Sea Breeze in a fight either.

The Beast then kicked another melee player. This was the fourth player that it had kicked to death in phase three.

However, this did not slow down the speed at which it was losing HP. If Lu Li revived Moonlight, then they would have only lost three people in total. It was completely possible to erase the little bit of HP it had left, assuming that it didn’t have other ultimate skills in store.

“Alright, let’s focus and clear this in one go. If we pass, I’ll shout everyone dinner. If anyone slips up and costs us the clear, I will never forgive them. This is for you, Wandering. If you dare to make me slip up, then I will reveal every bit of your dark history and destroy your image.”

Lu Li was not the one who said this, but Azure Sea Breeze.

Azure Sea Breeze did not want to go through the pain of being ‘kissed’ by the Boss again.

However, he still needed to focus and defend to prevent a wipe. If they wiped, they would have to restart.

“Childish!”

“Virtue-less person! Undermining another of higher status!”

Wandering couldn’t help but quarrel back. As a Secondary Tank, it would be easy to induce a team wipe.

He wanted to let Azure Sea Breeze be tortured more.

Wandering was now extremely excited for the Boss to enter into an Enraged state and start dealing Critical Hits.
