The Great Thief

Lu Li looked past the two guards. The place was crawling with Glory Capital players. The whole Ruins of Solarsal was probably already taken.

Glory Capital’s players have already been levelling like crazy over the past few days. They must have accidentally stumbled onto this area and claimed it as their own training ground. However, this wasn’t the surprising part – Lu Li did not expect them to bring along that many people.

Compared to Glory Capital, Lu Li definitely would have been more cautious about bringing this many people.

However, Glory Capital had managed to keep everything under the radar. Had Lu Li not come here to train, no one would have realised that they were here.

“Please leave, or else,” the players from Glory Capital suddenly raised their voices and began to become more aggressive.

Lu Li did not doubt that Glory Capital would attack him if he pressed on. Furthermore, there were other Thieves that began to appear around him. After the nerfing of Stealth, it was easier to detect them. In the face of Lu Li, a Thief who was above other Thieves, they were instantly detected the moment they stepped into range.

Lu Li stepped back, coughed, then smiled and apologized, “Ah, my bad. I’ll leave immediately.”

After saying this, Lu Li left immediately. He entered Stealth right away to make the other Thieves lose sight of him. As for whether they really would have attacked, Lu Li did not want to risk it.

In the battle against Peerless City, Lu Li began to realise that he wasn’t untouchable. With enough attackers and skills, he might not even have had enough time to use Gale Steps.

Of course, Lu Li wouldn’t just leave Glory Capital there and train mindlessly. After all, Ruling Sword would eventually fight Glory Capital.

However, he couldn’t just drag Ruling Sword over and start a war with Glory Capital, since they would most definitely lose. Even after adding on Drizzle Court and Peerless City, they would only be on even grounds. Drizzle Court and Peerless City were also only allies, so they wouldn’t follow Lu Li’s commands.

Lu Li transformed into a crow and circled the Ruins. With this, he could get a good view of the Ruins.

Glory Capital had brought along thousands of players here. Furthermore, they were all high-levelled players – otherwise, they would not have been able to fight these monsters.

He had to create some trouble for them!

Lu Li then flapped his wings and left the Ruins. Then, he quickly sent a message to a specific group of people.

One of the group of Thieves training at the Western Plaguelands received his message, then yelled for one of his team members, “The Blood Red War Flag member that you met last time – are you still in contact with him?”

“Yes, Brother Buggy,” the member confirmed as he nodded his head.

“Contact him and say that you have information on Glory Capital’s main powerhouses’ training grounds. The place is quite obscure. Ask Blood Red War Flag if they’re willing to buy this information,” Buggy ordered his member according to what Lu Li said.

“Alright, I’ll contact them immediately. Ah, that’s right. What’s the price going to be?” he asked, not wanting to make these decisions.

“500,000 dollars,” Buggy said, then added, “Tell them that once they receive this information, they will be able to ambush all the Glory Capital players who are above level 50 at the same time. The professional players are also among them.”

The little Thief quickly contacted the Blood Red War Flag member from last time.

Of course, it was hard to trust the information, especially information of this calibre. After the update, it was much harder to track people without any PK points.

For those with PK points, a fee needed to be paid for their position to be hidden for a certain period of time.

Organisations would usually ask the players with PK points to either reset their points, or pay this fee to hide themselves, especially if they were involved top-secret guild activities. Not even the people in Blood Red War Flag were able to get this information, so how would a normal Thief obtain it?

In these cases where the source was unverified, the deed would be done, then the payment would follow after.

If it wasn’t for money, why would he lie? The Blood Red War Flag contact trusted the little Thief’s information, but he could not make the decision, so he also had to contact the higher-ups.

After 20 to 30 minutes, the squad leader Jade Flower Lover and the director Dust Dragon appeared in Western Plaguelands to meet with the Thief. Buggy and the rest left the three of them to discuss. After discussing, an agreement was made. At the very least, Blood Red War Flag believed the information.

Jade Flower Lover was already ready to leave, but Dust Dragon then walked over to the little Thief and tried to put him at ease.

“Don’t worry. If your information is correct, we will definitely repay you abundantly.”

The little Thief used his tongue to wet his dry lips, then smiled and said, “I’m not worried about not being paid at all! I trust in the dignity of Blood Red War Flag to honour the agreement. If you guys end up reaping a huge benefit from this, I just hope that my brothers can also be rewarded.

“Oh, you have a lot of people with you?” Dust Dragon was surprised. The information that he received was not complete, so he originally thought that this little Thief had only stumbled upon this.

“Not many, just around a thousand. We just sell information to feed ourselves. This time, the information was much harder to get.”

The little Thief looked genuine, but none of the words were truthful.

“Alright, don’t worry. I hope to work with you more in the future.”

Dust Dragon took a deep breath. A thousand players who specialised in obtaining information? Since when did this game have something like this?

A thousand people was not much, but for a thousand players to do something that was not that profitable was abnormal.

“We’ll have to see how you would repay us then. We only do it for the money,” the little Thief said, putting on a perfect act of a money-hungry guy.
