The Great Thief

After a moment of silence, Spring Breeze responded, “I am Zheng Jifeng.”

Zheng Jifeng?

This was obviously their real name, but who was Zheng Jifeng? Lu Li was stunned and thought that this was a little embarrassing. The other person obviously thought that he should know this name, but he didn’t…

Fortunately, just because Lu Li was ignorant didn’t mean that no one else in Ruling Sword knew who Zheng Jifeng was.

“You’re not the Zheng Jifeng the designer are you?” the player that mentioned he was studying design in college quickly asked, revealing the identity of this person.

“Mr. Zheng, the Boss of the Jifeng studio?” a fashion designer asked cautiously.

“Yep,” Zheng Jifeng responded. He seemed to carry himself with pride.

Lu Li quickly chatted in private with someone else who knew about Zheng Jifeng.

“Boss, the Jifeng studio is one of the largest fashion design brands on the market. It holds a monopoly over at least 1/3 of the luxury brand designs. Zheng Jifeng is the head of the company. He is a talented person, but has not designed any new clothes recently…

In short, he was an expert in fashion. He had become famous quite early in his life and was now already in his forties. Later on, he developed some issues with his mental health, but the Jifeng Studio had already become a leading brand in fashion.

They couldn’t continue chatting in the guild chat, so Lu Li quickly put together a smaller discussion group with Zheng Jifeng, himself, Square Root 3 and the few other people who understood fashion design.

After these people came in, they saw the two guild Bosses and Zheng Jifeng.

They were quite excited by this group. They first greeted Zheng Jifeng before greeting Lu Li and Square Root 3.

Although it was just a small formality, it was enough to demonstrate Zheng Jifeng’s authority in fashion

design.

“Hello Mr. Zheng. I didn’t think that our guild had such an expert.”

Square Root 3 was better at dealing with such people than Lu Li. He also knew more about the fashion design industry than Lu Li.

Lu Li had never really bought designer clothing before. Previously, he had always just purchased clothes from market stalls. He and his sister would also never spend much money on clothing – just one to two hundred dollars would be plenty. For them, clothes just served the function of covering them and keeping them warm.

“Expert? You are an expert in the game, but within the fashion design circles, I am just an idler doing nothing,” Zheng Jifeng said.

“No matter what industry it is, there are few that can go as far as you have. Well, enough small talk,” Square Root 3 said directly, “We would like to ask if Mr. Zheng could help us design our uniforms. We’re not sure if it is convenient for you. As for your pay…”

It wasn’t that Ruling Sword couldn’t afford a high price, but it was still a guild that was undergoing rapid development. Most of their money was being reinvested into the guild, so Lu Li and Square Root 3 obviously couldn’t spend too much on this.

If this didn’t work, then they were going to let the design students make the designs.

“Don’t worry about the pay. I am a member of this guild after all,” Zheng Jifeng’s offered, his originally cold tone warming up a little. “This guild’s atmosphere is something special, unlike some other guilds. I haven’t designed clothing in a long time now, but I have helped some other guilds with their uniforms before.”

“We would be very grateful.” Lu Li and Square Root 3 were quite happy.

Who wouldn’t like the fact that they were getting help for free, especially by such a big name in the industry? As for what he said about the guild’s atmosphere, Lu Li and Square Root 3 felt a little ashamed, as it was very unusual for the top-level players to care about the low-level players in a guild.

When the guild was established, both Square Root 3 and Lu Li had the idea of regularly clearing out the low-level players.

Almost all guilds with clubs were doing this. As the guild levels became harder to increase, each place in the guild became more and more precious. Kicking a low-level player would mean that the position would be vacated for a higher-level player.

However, White Bread was quite opposed to this. In addition, Lu Li and Square Root 3 hadn’t been pushing it too aggressively as their guild was still growing, so they didn’t care much about the quotas.

“Have you considered what color you want?” Zheng Jifeng asked.

“Nope,” Lu Li and Square Root 3 responded.

“What about the style?”

“Nope.”

“Alright then, go and do whatever it is you do. The rest of you can go as well.”

Zheng Jifeng couldn’t be bothered asking any more questions.

Lu Li and Square Root 3 exited the chatroom and went to find White Bread.

There were so many people in the guild from so many different walks of life. It wasn’t only the Elite Group that contained valuable players. Today, a truth had come to light – that many players’ true identities remained hidden.

After all, who could possibly imagine that a level 20 Trade Skill player would be a master of the fashion industry?

Now, they decided that when they found a player like this in their guild, they would write it down as it could be useful in the future. No matter how the game went, Lu Li still lived in the real world, so who knew what would happen in the real world in the future?

Paying attention to such people wasn’t the same as bothering them.

Some people didn’t like to be bothered by playing games, and they also didn’t like other people getting too close to them. All Lu Li and Square Root 3 could hope for was that they felt a sense of belonging to the guild.

White Bread certainly didn’t object to this. She had always been opposed to kicking low-level players. According to her, a truly healthy guild environment should be like a warm and welcoming home. As long as they had a good character, they could contribute to the guild.

Of course, she still wasn’t unreasonable about it. She knew the importance of high-level players for the guild. White Bread was currently planning a branch in Ruling Sword where she could specifically accept professional Trade Skill players and casual players.

Zheng Jifeng was very efficient, and he quickly designed the uniforms before showing them to Lu Li.

The dark tone version was black, while the light tone version was white. These were the most ordinary colors, but it seemed that everything had come to life with his design.

Lu Li was originally worried that the clothes designed by the fashion designers would only be suitable for wear in the arena. Many of the uniforms that were worn in the arena would not be worn in the real world for fear of ridicule.

However, after seeing this design, he could let go of his worries. These were clothes that he didn’t mind wearing on the streets.

Zheng Jifeng said that this could be a guild uniform, and anyone could wear it. He said that he would continue and design another set for the club players, but these were still tentative ideas. For now, the Ruling Sword players could wear these two sets for their next matches.

The technology and design was all there, and the materials required were quite simple. Soon, everyone had a uniform that could be worn to show that they belonged to Ruling Sword.
