The Great Thief

“How about ladies first? We’ll let March Rain speak first,” Jiu Feng suggested.

March Rain had many fans. Out of everyone in Ruling Sword, she had the most. She was pretty and had a good temper, while also having an aura of elegance around her. Some people wanted a girl like her in their family, either as a daughter-in-law, sister or daughter. All in all, everyone loved her.

“Dawn is my first game that I have committed to. I started playing because of my brother,” March Rain answered rigidly. After all, she was facing so many people.

Although she knew that hundreds of thousands of fans came to watch the matches, the players couldn’t see them. This was a completely different situation to be in.

“March Rain’s brother is called Lonesome Flower. Let’s have a look at him now. Isn’t he super good looking? The genes in this family…Wow!” Jiu Feng exclaimed. “Although he’s always on the level rankings, unfortunately, he does not like to participate in matches. Otherwise, you guys would be able to see him fighting in the competitions.”

The others in Ruling Sword had to stifle their laughs. Flower loved to compete, but he was completely incompetent.

“How did you meet Lu Li?”

“We were in the newbie’s town and doing quests there. He helped us out with the quest monsters, and even fought with other people,” March Rain recalled.

At that time, both were new to games in general, so they had no chemistry or knowledge of mechanics. One simple quest caused their misery, let alone having other players compete for that same monster.

However, Lu Li had changed their lives in this game. One of them was now a professional player, while the other had become a well-known player on the level rankings.

“Ah…There’s another question that everyone has been extremely curious about,” Four Seas Dragon said as he looked at Moonlight and asked, “Mister Moonlight, you faced Deadly Gold Underpants and successfully killed him. Your place seems to be much higher than his within every Warrior’s heart. What is your relationship with Drunkard?”

“Well, there’s not much to say. I’m Drunkard,” Moonlight answered.

Everyone suspected that Moonlight was Drunkard, but everyone wanted him to confirm it himself.

There was an extremely powerful guild back in the day that had suddenly disbanded. Not many people knew what had happened.

From then on, the professional players from that guild either quit, or joined another guild.

Moonlight was one of them, and he joined Ruling Sword. Now that he had regained his status, he would naturally be asked about this.

“This next question is for Fat Monkey,” Jiu Feng began as he took out a slip from the container and read, “Why is our big brother so uncool?”

The audience laughed while Fat Monkey nearly fell from his chair.

“Cough…cough…alright. I think you guys might be misunderstanding me a little. I might not be as handsome as some people, but I definitely have that cool aura! Look at my expression, is it not cool? Stop laughing…I’ll get angry…”

After Fat Monkey, it was the others’ turns. The questions all were quite broad and general, so there were no chances of the interview becoming stale.

Sakura Memories was asked about the Yaoi culture. Even her squad members had only found out about this now. She was a well-known member of a Yaoi forum, but the people who frequented it just hasn’t realised that the two Sakura Memories was the same person.

Kitty Likes Meat was asked more normal questions, such as her age, star sign, and her relationship status.

“Someone here wants to ask Mu Qiu a question,” Four Seas Dragon said, then hesitated for a bit before asking, “Why did you leave Blood Red War Flag?”

This question was a little dangerous. Ruling Sword and Blood Red War Flag were both in the same ship, since they were both pressured by Glory Capital. As such, there was not much animosity in their relationship.

“Leaving Blood Red War Flag…” Mu Qiu shook his head a little and continued, “I wasn’t neglected. The atmosphere of the guild was good, but I just wanted to search for a better place to grow as a player.”

“Are you saying that Blood Red War Flag did not suit you?” Four Seas Dragon asked.

“No. It’s not that Blood Red War Flag did not fit me, but I did not fit Blood Red War Flag. I was determined to follow my own path, and that path did not fit well with them. As such, I ended up choosing Ruling Sword. It’s not that complicated to want to change guilds, contrary to popular belief. Players, whether professional or not, will naturally look for guilds that fit them.”

Mu Qiu was eloquent, so he answered the question quite well.

Four Seas Dragon bore no ill-will towards Ruling Sword, but he kept going because he saw that Mu Qiu’s attitude was quite positive. Otherwise, he would not have pressed this topic further.

It was time for Lu Li’s turn.

He did not have the most fans, but it was a mystery why he still wore a mask when he went out and hid himself from the public.

His image was unclear to his fans. Some people tried to take pictures and videos of him, but they were all blurry or too dark to see.

The more he hid, the more curious people were.

Lu Li wore his full set of armour on stage, and his face was still covered by his Nightslayer’s Mask. Coupled with his quiet and calm demeanour, this gave him an aura of elegance, which was something that Fat Monkey wanted.

“Alright, the first question. Why did you create Ruling Sword?” Jiu Feng was also extremely curious himself.

“Well, it started from when I went into Spider’s Lair. I realised that Dawn could not be played alone.” Lu Li was lying, but he had to lie. After all, he could not just say that he had a prophetic vision which prompted him to create the guild.

“Who then, do you think, has helped you the most during this time?” Jiu Feng grabbed another paper and asked.

“Probably brother Square Root,” Lu Li answered, then quickly added, “Actually, everyone in my squad has all worked hard and contributed so much. There are also others that made contributions as well. The Ruling Sword of today has been built by the efforts of many.”
