The Great Thief

Incendius dropped an Epic Bracer – Flameweave Cuffs. Although the Attributes were not the best, given the current state of Epic items, this was enough to amaze all the players present.

Lu Li understood that his team wouldn’t let him assign it to Fat Monkey as most of the players here were competitors that used the same kind of equipment. If the Epic equipment was given to Fat Monkey, he would be able to reach a new level of strength.

The stronger Fat Monkey was, the stronger Ruling Sword would become, and they had already been in the spotlight for the past six months.

Although they weren’t as dominant as Glory Capital in their prime, no one wanted to re-experience the Dark Ages after the rise of Glory Capital. In those years, all the clubs could only keep a respectful distance from first place. Everyone could only really compete for second.

If they had the chance, they would have stopped Ruling Sword from getting this far.

“Alright, how about we all roll for it?” Lu Li said.

“No, just let the Magic Professions roll,” Sorrowless said with a pout. The others had a bittersweet expression on their faces as this would mean many of the players wouldn’t even have a chance. However, as long as Ruling Sword didn’t receive it, they would also consider that a favorable outcome.

They were all able to talk and laugh together privately, but when it came to matters that involved the interests of the club, they had to put their personal feelings aside. This was the minimum expectation of professionalism among competitors.

Water Fairy was just about to respond, but Lu Li waved his hand and stopped her before she could.

At least this wasn’t an unreasonable request. This was a magic fire item, so it made sense that only the magic professions should roll for it.

March Rain was a healer, but she could technically be considered a magic profession. As such, she was also allowed to participate in the roll.

There were a number of magic professions present, but this was a Cloth item which meant that Druids and Shamans couldn’t use them. In the end, the six players to participate in the roll were Sorrowless, Unforgettable Maple, March Rain, Wendelian, Hornet’s Nest and Phantom Gaze.

After three rolls, the current highest roll was Sorrowless’ 92 points. By the time it was March Rain’s turn, Lu Li was becoming a little nervous.

Even if he didn’t receive this Epic Bracer, he just didn’t want the group’s wishful thinking to be fulfilled. Moreover, this item didn’t have any complicated effects or conditions. It just increased the user’s attack power, which was perfect for a player like Fat Monkey.

93!

She managed to roll 1 point more than Sorrowless, and Lu Li’s anxiety was relieved.

There were two more players left to make their rolls. 93 was quite high, but it wasn’t a decisive figure.

Unforgettable Maple took a deep breath and rolled – 88!

This was a very lucky number, but it wasn’t enough for him to win, which made him feel even more frustrated. It wasn’t worth it to offend Lu Li over a piece of equipment, but he just couldn’t help but feel some regret and that he had lost something.

“Last one, make your roll,” Lu Li said as he glanced around and had a look at everyone’s expressions.

The Bracer eventually fell into March Rain’s hands, but Lu Li still wasn’t happy.

Indeed, Lu Li was being the pettiest person in the world. He had intended to show everyone something great, instead decided to hide the secret bug of Blackrock Abyss in his heart.

He was going to wait until he was farming with people he trusted to reveal it.

The bug in Blackrock Abyss was found 8 months after the game was released, when a team at the Blackrock Abyss discovered the secret to infinitely farm the monsters.

The monsters did not have much HP or Defense and their EXP wasn’t as high as an Elite monster, but they were much better than the mobs in the Wild.

For whatever reason, the game company didn’t immediately patch the bug, so it existed for quite some time. Some players speculated that the game company did this in order to balance out the levels, allowing the lower-level players to catch up.

Blackrock’s other Instance Dungeons weren’t appropriate for players that were below level 55, so it was necessary for the players to find some way to level up.

Everyone would eventually know about this sooner or later, so Lu Li didn’t mind sharing this information.

But now…

Lu Li was only a little apologetic for his pettiness, but these other players would have to take their chances. Lu Li was only going to let his own teammates enjoy the first wave of EXP.

The next item was a Thief T0 set item. Lu Li didn’t want it because he was already trying to obtain a T1 set, so Water Fairy was happy to take it instead. She made a mental note to repay Lu Li sometime in the future.

After all the items had been distributed, they left the Dwarf’s Black Anvil and officially entered the industrial area.

This was where the Iron craftsmen made their belongings; there was a range of art everywhere and statues that were still in progress. The Iron craftsmen were busy here, carrying their equipment and around working away. The leader here was the notorious Fineous Darkvire.

To say that he was notorious was not an unfair assessment at all.

Fineous Darkvire was the successor Franclorn Forgewright. Compared to his teacher, he was much less notable for his works. All he did every day was create statues of the Iron King to win his favor. In addition, he was a fully-fledged villain. When his teacher was alive, he was always jealous. After his teacher died, he took away his last relic, which was the Chief Architect’s symbol – Ironfel.

Speaking of Ironfel, it wasn’t actually that valuable. Cresso’s Hammer was a much more powerful item.

However, the other players who invested in Forging didn’t think so. Until other options became available, Ironfel was the dream item for all players who specialized Forging.

Because its drop rate was so low and Forging players tended to have lower fighting power, farming Fineous Darkvire would soon become a vibrant part of the market.

They would pay to join the party and be quite obedient; the only issue was that they didn’t offer much fighting strength.

Blackrock Abyss was always going to be a difficult Instance Dungeon, so many teams found themselves struggling when bringing a single rookie in with them. Many would opt to just take one rich player to earn a lot of money. If you were able to bring two at the same time, you could start calling yourself a professional gold group.

Before beginning the fight, Lu Li pretended like he had chanced upon this small sculpture.

This sculpture was quite inconspicuous among the larger sculptures of the Iron King. Even Lu Li, who had no eye for art, could see its crudeness compared to the others.

However, when Lu Li approached it, the sculpture opened its eyes.

That’s right, the sculpture opened its eyes!
