From Folly to Fortune：I Rewrite My Life After Rebirth!

Chapter 1152: Chapter 1148: (Second Update)

Mu Shuangshuang rushed into her family courtyard, only to find it empty. Xiao Han was not there, Little Zhi was not there, and even Yuanbao was nowhere to be seen.

From the Old Mu Family’s courtyard came the faint sound of a child’s crying.

Mu Shuangshuang rushed into the Old Mu Family’s courtyard.

The scene before her nearly made Mu Shuangshuang vomit blood in anger.

In the courtyard, Xiao Han was kneeling on the ground, his forehead already stained red with blood.

Mu Danian, Mr. Mu, and Old Mrs. Mu were standing in a circle, all speaking words of blame aimed at Xiao Han.

Little Zhi and Yuanbao, the two children, were crying their eyes out beside Xiao Han!

Mr. Mu had his hands behind his back, his eyes full of anger: ”Xiao Han, you weren’t like this before, why did you steal something?”

Old Mrs. Mu followed with sarcasm, ”Who said she wasn’t like this before? Money has gone missing from my room several times. Maybe it’s this little rascal who took it!”

”And the eggs and Old Mu Family, Mom, don’t forget we’ve had a few hens stolen!” Mu Danian took the opportunity to push all previous wrongdoings onto Xiao Han.

”You’re lying, Xiao Han wouldn’t steal things, you’re the bad ones!” Even while crying, Yuanbao still defended his friend!

But the weight of his words was too light!

”Little rascal, you and Xiao Han are in cahoots, of course you’d say that. Just wait until that brat Shuang comes, let’s see how she explains this!”

Mu Danian dragged Xiao Han to the main house of the Old Mu Family, the first thing he did was lodge a false report.

He told Mr. Mu and Old Mrs. Mu that Mrs. Jin’s golden bracelet had been stolen.

Then he claimed he and Gou Dan saw with their own eyes that Xiao Han stole it.

At first Mr. Mu didn’t believe it, but when Mrs. Jin said her bracelet was indeed missing, he believed it!

Old Mrs. Mu jumped up, threatening to tear Xiao Han’s face apart.

The three of them surrounded Xiao Han, lecturing him.

Yuanbao and Little Zhi noticed Xiao Han hadn’t returned for a while, so they came out looking for him, and saw Xiao Han being forced to kneel by Mu Danian on the ground.

Naturally, Yuanbao rushed forward to pull Xiao Han, trying to get him away.

But being just a child, he couldn’t take Xiao Han away, and was instead slapped by Mu Danian.

The two children held their heads and cried, almost to the point of suffocation.

”You little brat, are you going to talk or not!” Mu Danian shouted at the top of his lungs.

Little did he know, Mu Shuangshuang was already approaching.

Mu Shuangshuang stepped forward and kicked Mu Danian.

Without warning, Mu Danian was knocked to the ground, his spine feeling as if it had snapped.

He was just about to shout when Yuanbao and Little Zhi cried out, ”Sister, sister... they accused Brother Xiao Han of stealing, they’re hitting Brother Xiao Han...”

At this moment, Mr. Mu and Old Mrs. Mu became ”they” in Little Zhi and Yuanbao’s lips!

The blood in Mu Shuangshuang’s body almost flowed backwards.

She glared at Mr. Mu and Old Mrs. Mu with bloodshot eyes, but the first thing she did was go forward and help Xiao Han up from the ground.

But Xiao Han refused to stand.

He didn’t steal anything; he did nothing wrong!

Mu Shuangshuang watched Xiao Han kneeling on the ground, tears nearly coming out.

”Xiao Han, standing up doesn’t mean you’ve admitted to stealing! Precisely because you didn’t steal, you shouldn’t be kneeling! Only the guilty kneel!”

Xiao Han’s thin body trembled, without using Mu Shuangshuang’s strength, he stood up.

When Mu Shuangshuang’s hand touched his body, he cried...

”Sob... sob... Xiao Han is not a thief, Xiao Han did not steal, Uncle... Uncle and Gou Dan wronged me!” Xiao Han said between sobs.

Mu Danian climbed up from the ground, angrily saying: ”Nonsense, if you didn’t steal, then who did? Stupid girl, you better give us an explanation today, or else we’ll report it to the authorities!”

Mu Shuangshuang glared fiercely at Mu Danian, ”Shut up, say one more word and I’ll rip your filthy mouth apart!”

Mu Shuangshuang let loose with a string of curses.

The reason she hadn’t acted against Mu Danian was because she didn’t want Xiao Han to suffer injustice due to her.

Once everything was clear, she would make Mu Danian pay with his life.

Softly comforting Xiao Han, once he stopped crying, Mu Dashan and Lu Yuanfeng also entered the courtyard.

Seeing the chaotic situation in the courtyard, Mu Dashan asked: ”What’s going on? What happened? Xiao Han, what’s wrong?”

When Mu Dashan saw the dried blood on Xiao Han’s forehead, he roared, ”Who? Who did this? Get out here, now!”

His words, almost identical to Mu Shuangshuang’s, showed Mu Dashan’s attitude at this moment.

”Why are you yelling? Your son stole something, how can you act so righteously, what, trying to scare this old woman to death?” Old Mrs. Mu loudly rebuked Mu Dashan.

”You shut up too!” Mu Shuangshuang said again.

Mr. Mu couldn’t stand it anymore; he felt his authority was being greatly challenged!

”Shuang, don’t forget your place, why are you acting so insolently in front of so many elders?”

”Grandpa, what is my place? My place is as Xiao Han’s sister. Today, none who bullied Xiao Han will get away. I don’t care if they’re the king of heaven or an immature brat; I’ll tear them all apart!”

Mu Shuangshuang shouted back.

After shouting, she squatted down and looked sincerely at Xiao Han: ”Be good, after crying, tell Sister what’s really going on, Sister will get justice for you!”

Mu Shuangshuang’s words made Xiao Han realize the person in front of him had always believed in him!

He sobbed a few more times and wiped his tears.

”I was in the courtyard studying, Gou Dan came to find me, said his ball was missing, and asked me to help him find it!

I went with him but didn’t find it, then Gou Dan took me to the outside of Uncle’s courtyard, saying his ball had gone into Uncle’s courtyard!

I didn’t go in. Gou Dan started crying on the ground, pleading with me. I originally planned to go, but in the end, I didn’t go in.

Then Fifth Uncle appeared, accusing me of stealing and hit me!”

Xiao Han spoke word by word; when he mentioned the beating, Mu Danian loudly refuted: ”It was you, you little brat, who stole, when I asked if you did something bad, you spat on my face, that’s why I hit you!”

”You’re lying, I didn’t spit on you...” Xiao Han shouted passionately.

Mu Shuangshuang gently patted Xiao Han’s shoulder, ”Don’t rush, Sister will get justice for you!”

Mu Shuangshuang’s face showed cold fury, her hands clenched into fists.

She glared at Mu Danian, wanting to peel his skin off—

”Later, Uncle and Aunt came back. Aunt went in for a while, and when she came out, she said her bracelet was missing, and Fifth Uncle dragged me here to Grandpa and Grandma...”
