Chapter 812: Chapter 21: The Mysterious Forging Master

“Where have you been all these years?” Murong Xue asked.

Lin Feng replied, “Desert Domain, Azure Cloud Sect.”

“An ancient sect.”

Murong Xue was surprised and then said, “But even an ancient sect wouldn’t make your power increase so quickly, right?”

Lin Feng smiled and said, “I’m naturally gifted in the Divine Martial arts, so it’s no surprise my cultivation increases quickly.”

“Hmph.”

Murong Xue snorted, crossing her arms, and said, “Saying you’re fat and then puffing up, really shameless.”

Lin Feng said, “I’m just telling the truth.”

The two chatted back and forth as they flew in the direction of Heavenly Saint City.

“Can that mysterious Forging Master craft a Tao Artifact?” Lin Feng asked.

“She probably can, but crafting a Tao Artifact requires countless precious materials. Are you planning to craft one?”

Murong Xue looked at Lin Feng and asked.

Lin Feng nodded and said, “I have a half-finished Dao Artifact, the Seven Treasures Glazed Tower, a piece of defensive treasure. I want to have it forged into a Tao Artifact.”

“I can take you to see her, but that elder is of a peculiar temperament; I can’t say if she’ll agree to help you.” Murong Xue said.

“If she doesn’t help, you can put in a good word for me.” Lin Feng said.

Murong Xue said, “It’s no use. The reason that Forging Master agreed to help me forge a magical treasure is because not long ago, she received a piece of Purple Qilin Jade from my father and owed him a favor. That’s why she helped me. If not for that favor, she wouldn’t have helped at all. Many have sought her help to forge treasures, only to be rejected.”

There are many Forging Masters on the Heavenly Martial Continent.

Because becoming a Forging Master isn’t as demanding as becoming a Spirit Array Master or an Alchemist.

So many choose to become a Forging Master as a livelihood.

Of course, becoming a powerful Forging Master is not easy either.

The most elite of Forging Masters can craft Tao Artifacts, and these masters are very rare and esteemed.

Lin Feng said, “Let’s meet this Forging Master first. Whether it works out or not, we’ll see after meeting her.”

Murong Xue nodded. She and Lin Feng arrived at Heavenly Saint City and headed straight for the northwest corner, the city’s slums.

Most living here are ordinary people or the poor.

“Is the great Forging Master you mentioned living here?”

Lin Feng asked in surprise.

Murong Xue nodded and said, “Yes, the Forging Master lives in this place.”

“Such a skilled Forging Master surely isn’t lacking money. Living here is indeed quite odd.”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but murmur.

He and Murong Xue entered a dilapidated alleyway and stopped at the deepest point of the alley in front of a yard.

Murong Xue respectfully said from outside, “Elder, I’ve brought blue mineral stone.”

“Come in.”

A somewhat hoarse voice came from inside.

Lin Feng and Murong Xue entered the courtyard together.

The yard was neglected, seemingly not cleaned for a long time.

An old woman emerged from the room.

Her skin was shriveled, like old tree bark, her age uncertain.

Seeing Lin Feng, the old woman was clearly displeased and said, “Why bring an outsider?”

Murong Xue said, “He’s not an outsider, he’s my…”

“Enough. I don’t care who he is to you. Leave the items and come back in three days.” the old woman said.

Murong Xue playfully stuck out her tongue and proceeded to take out the blue mineral stone and seventy-two silver needles.

These were Murong Xue’s most powerful set of treasures.

“The Ice Needle crafted from the Beast Bone of the Ice Plain Violent Bear is indeed a powerful treasure. Leave them here.”

The old woman glanced over Murong Xue’s treasures, recognizing instantly the materials used, showcasing her vast experience.

At this moment, Lin Feng said, “Elder, I would also like to request your help in forging a treasure.”

The old woman coldly laughed and said, “Why should I help you? If not for Murong Xue’s sake, daring to intrude on my yard would have gotten you thrown out.”

Lin Feng mused inwardly, at her ripe old age, she still had quite a temper.

Of course, he dared not voice these thoughts, lest the quirky old woman decided to act unpredictably.

“If Elder could assist me, no matter what you seek, I will try my utmost to get it.” Lin Feng said.

“I want the bones of a Golden Giant; do you have them?” the old woman said blandly.

“Golden Giant? A lost race…” Lin Feng frowned slightly.

Golden Giants are rumored to be God’s followers.

Also known as Divine Servants.

But now, the gods on the Heavenly Martial Continent are long gone.

The Golden Giant race, as Divine Servants, perished ages ago.

“I will try to find it,” Lin Feng said.

“If you can find it, I will assist you,” the old woman said, giving Lin Feng a deep look.

“Farewell…”

Lin Feng clasped his fists.

He and Murong Xue left together.

“Perhaps we can inquire at the auction house if there are Golden Giant bones. Auction houses do collect all sorts of rare and strange items.”

Murong Xue suggested.

Lin Feng nodded and said, “Then let’s head to the auction house. I just happen to have a couple of items to consign for auction.”

“Oh? You have items to auction? What are they?” Murong Xue asked curiously.

“Tao Artifact.” Lin Feng said.

Murong Xue’s eyes widened, and she said, “Are you crazy? Auctioning a Tao Artifact?”

Lin Feng responded, “This Tao Artifact isn’t mine; it came into my possession after a fight where both sides were gravely injured. If their factions find out, they won’t let me off. Better to sell it for Spirit Stones.”

“Since it’s something that has an owner, it indeed shouldn’t be used to avoid unforeseen disasters.”

Murong Xue nodded in agreement.

They arrived at the auction house.

“Oh, Xue’er, you’re at the auction house too. Are you planning to buy something here?”

Just then, a voice full of surprise rang out.

Five or six young gentlemen approached. The one speaking was a young man in purple. This purple-clothed young master had swordlike brows, starry eyes, and looked handsome and refined.

But the arrogance between his brows was quite off-putting.

Murong Xue calmly said, “I’m here with a friend.”

“Friend?” The purple-clothed young master looked at Lin Feng and couldn’t help but frown slightly. He sensed a not-so-simple relationship between Murong Xue and this person, igniting a bit of jealousy within him.
