Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

Chapter 805: Chapter 14: Stone God

In the Ancient Era, sacrifices were the most popular, from a great Ancient Dynasty to a small tribe, all performed sacrifices.

In the Ancient Era, sacrifice was a spiritual symbol, but besides a spiritual symbol, it also bestowed a blessing.

Because in the Ancient Era, all gods walked the earth, so when sacrifices were made to the gods, the gods absorbed the power of incense and would actively descend blessings to protect a certain area.

But since the end of the Ancient Era, due to the turbulence and great wars of the Late Ancient Era, the gods fell, and thus no Ancient Giant Gods walked the earth anymore, causing no miracles to happen when people sacrificed to the gods of the past.

Over time, the lack of miracles led to the decline of sacrifices.

As time passed, the Ancient Sacrificial Technique largely disappeared in the long river of history.

Of course, time had not completely erased sacrifices.

To this day, there are still some small sacrifices happening.

Just like sacrificing to the Stone God.

...

On the altar, various offerings, an incense table, and a furnace tripod were arranged.

Zhan Junhua and Shi Ningmeng stood on either side, while Lin Feng held incense in both hands, kneeling in the direction of the Stone God.

To sacrifice to the divine, one must be heartfelt.

As the saying goes, where there is sincerity, there is spirit.

This is a saying passed down from the Ancient Era.

Lin Feng knelt three times and kowtowed nine times to the Stone God.

Suddenly.

A divine light descended from the sky.

”Blessing...”

Lin Feng was astonished.

It was just as Shi Ningmeng had said, sacrificing to the Stone God resulted in the descent of a blessing.

This left him shocked and moved.

Lin Feng quickly closed his eyes.

The power of the blessing poured into Lin Feng’s body.

This was a gentle power, flowing within Lin Feng’s body, and Lin Feng found that this power could dispel sickness and disaster.

Some hidden ailments in his body were actually healed by this power.

This astonished him because those hidden ailments were left by great battles.

They were even ones Lin Feng had not discovered.

These hidden ailments accumulated more and more, eventually causing indelible damage to the body.

Now, these hidden ailments were repaired.

Noticing the disappearance of these hidden ailments and the recovery of his body, Lin Feng felt immensely pleased.

”If an ordinary person is seriously ill and on the brink of death, coming to sacrifice here and receiving a blessing would immediately cure them, and cultivators receiving a blessing would have their hidden ailments repaired. No wonder sacrifices were so popular in the Ancient Era, as they truly brought benefits. Moreover, the sacrificial techniques of today are far inferior to those of the Ancient Era. The benefits that the Ancient Ancestors received from sacrifices must have been unimaginable.”

Lin Feng pondered silently.

This power of blessing could not remain in the body for long, Lin Feng noticed the power of blessing rapidly fading away.

He frowned slightly, it seemed the power of blessing was about to vanish.

But soon, Lin Feng became relieved.

Although Shi Ningmeng said that some people might encounter a fortuitous opportunity during a sacrifice,

obtaining those opportunities clearly was not a simple task.

After circulating in Lin Feng’s body for a cycle, the power of blessing became very weak.

Finally, this power rushed into Lin Feng’s dantian, unable to hold on any longer, it seemed about to dissipate.

Suddenly at this moment, the power of blessing seemed to sense something, not only did it not dissipate, it instead released even stronger power.

In the dantian, the Divine Ability Talisman also sensed this, and the Ancient Dragon Elephant Illusion, Thunder God’s Illusion, and Five Emperors’ Illusion appeared.

And within that power of blessing, an illusion of a Giant Stone God wielding a massive axe was manifested.

”What is this? The resonance of the gods?”

Lin Feng was mentally shaken.

The power of the blessing might have a trace of the Stone God’s will, and now it sensed other ”gods,” thus resonance occurred.

”Death is not terrifying, what is terrifying is living in solitude...”

Suddenly, a deep and desolate voice echoed in Lin Feng’s mind.

Lin Feng was wildly shaken.

Who is it?

Speaking to me!

Saying these words!

This left him incredibly shocked and moved.

Could it be?

Lin Feng had some guesses, he opened his eyes, looking at the gigantic statue of the Stone God in the distance.

At this moment.

Lin Feng felt that he had arrived in another space-time.

He stood on the street.

And this was still Stone City, yet it was not the Stone City he knew.

On the wide streets, bustling crowds, Lin Feng saw the Sun Clock Stone that recorded time.

It was inscribed: Year 21601 of the Middle Ages, Summer Solstice!

Lin Feng was wildly shaken.

The Middle Ages, this was the Middle Ages.

The Middle Ages began fifty thousand years ago and ended thirty thousand years ago.

Calculating this, his Divine Sense had entered the world of thirty-eight thousand years ago in the Middle Ages Stone City.

”Boom...”

Suddenly, from the depths of the endless sky, a demonic qi surged to the heavens, and in the demonic qi, an ancient and evil figure arrived there.

”Let’s all perish together.”

That was a Heavenly Demon, its voice indifferent, determined to destroy Stone City.

”Ah... it’s a Heavenly Demon, it’s actually a Heavenly Demon.”

”We’re doomed, we’re all going to die.”

Countless people screamed in terror.

”A Heavenly Demon, a Heavenly Demon invasion.”

Lin Feng was moved, historical records stated that in the latter period of the Middle Ages, Heavenly Demons invaded, causing massive devastation.

And his Divine Sense had come to the years of the Heavenly Demon invasion.

”Great Stone God, please bless us.”

A dozen elderly people knelt in prayer before a statue four or five meters high.

In the Ancient Era, the Stone God protected this land, and countless Ancient Ancestors worshipped the Stone God as a Divine Spirit.

But after the Great Ancient War, even the sacrifices to the Stone God brought no blessings.

So.

Countless people abandoned their faith.

They no longer believed in the Stone God.

Yet in this world.

There are always some people who still have faith.

They have never given up.

Generation after generation.

The ancient legends passed down.

They quietly continued to worship the Stone God.

Though their numbers were very few, very few.

So few that only a dozen elderly remained.

Even the descendants of these elders no longer believed the Stone God was alive.

But those elders still held steadfast to their faith.

Because.

The Stone God once protected their ancestors.

”Great Stone God, please awaken and see the homeland you once guarded is now about to be utterly destroyed by the Heavenly Demon.”

These elders cried out in sorrow, their voices choked with tears.

The defense of Stone City cannot hold for long.

With the defensive restriction broken.

Millions of people would be devoured by the Heavenly Demon.

Countless were in despair.

But these elders prayed.

They still held the belief in their hearts.

...

That is the power of faith.

Only the Divine can absorb the power of faith.

The power of their faith seemed to transmit into a certain space.

A broken Stone Man lay there.

Long devoid of life.

Unlike other deities, the Stone God was stone transformed, originally an ordinary stone, but later absorbed the Sun Moon Essence, developed a trace of spiritual intelligence, then transformed into a Mountain Monster, and after countless years of cultivation, became a Mountain God, eventually transforming into one of the Ancient Giant Gods, the Stone God.

During the Ancient Battle, the Stone God perished.

However, a small number of people continued to worship the Stone God, their faith unwavering.

After they died, they passed their faith onto the next generation.

Over the endless ages, these powers of faith continually nourished the last remnant of the Stone God’s undestroyed soul.

Without this power of faith, the remnant soul would have vanished long ago.

The restriction of Stone City shattered.

The Heavenly Demon saw a corner of Stone City where a dozen elders were praying to the Stone God.

For the Heavenly Demon sensed the power of faith.

The demon flew over, sneering, ”The Stone God has long been dead, yet you still worship him, truly laughable. Do you think the Stone God can protect you? Now die.”

The demon struck toward the dozen elders with a palm.

”Grandpa...”

A little girl, as delicate as a porcelain doll, ran over from afar, watching in terror.

Her grandfather was one of the elders who worshipped the Stone God.

Though only four or five years old, the little girl often followed her grandfather to worship the Stone God.

In the little girl’s eyes.

The Stone God must exist.

In her innocent and vibrant world, she believed everything her grandfather said.

”Great God, we can no longer pray to you.”

”Great God, may we be your most devout followers in our next life.”

The voices abruptly stopped.

The dozen elders were smashed into pulp by a single strike.

”Boohoo, big meanie, give Yao’er back her grandpa.”

The little girl cried out in sorrow.

”Filthy little bastard, die as well.”

The Heavenly Demon sneered coldly.

It struck its palm toward the little girl.

”Heaven and Earth Opening.”

The roar shook the heavens, an ax-like light tearing through heaven and earth.

”Who is summoning the Stone God?”

The voice seemed to echo from the Ancient Era.

Low, ancient, filled with endless bitterness.

The Stone God awoke.

He wielded a giant axe, tearing through the void, arriving in this world.

”The Stone God, it really is the Stone God...”

”Did the Stone God not die? Did the Stone God not abandon us?”

”The Stone God has appeared, we are surely saved.”

Countless people looked up to the Stone God, shedding tears of excitement.

Only the little girl cried in great sorrow.

For the grandfather who worshipped the Stone God all his life had died miserably before her eyes.

She would never see her grandfather again.
