Chapter 793: Chapter 2 Heavenly Demon Tomb

In the tavern, Lin Feng and Wuliang Taoist were drinking together.

Lin Feng did not care about merely killing Li Jianxiao.

“Thinking back to those years when the East County Divine Land put a bounty on you, you left East County Divine Land, and now you have returned, it seems you intend to stir up trouble here,” Wuliang Taoist said with narrowed eyes.

“Destroying Ao Tian Ancient City is my objective,” Lin Feng stated.

Wuliang Taoist shivered with fear, nearly falling to the ground.

Ao Tian Ancient City was the foremost among the Ten Great Ancient Cities of East County Divine Land.

Its power was formidable.

“Are you sure you are not joking? Ao Tian Ancient City has numerous experts, especially their city lord, Dugu Aotian, whose cultivation is unfathomably deep. If I am not mistaken, Dugu Aotian must be a cultivator of the Creation Realm,” said Wuliang Taoist.

“I am well aware of that, a careful and gradual plan will certainly lead to the downfall of Ao Tian Ancient City,” Lin Feng said, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Wuliang Taoist stroked his chin, “If you truly manage to annihilate Ao Tian Ancient City, I will go dig up the ancestral graves of the Dugu Family. If I don’t do it, it will just benefit the Tomb Raider Captain and Faqiu Middle Langjiang.”

Lin Feng, puzzled, said, “Haven’t the Tomb Raider Captain and Faqiu Middle Lang lost their Taoist inheritance and disappeared long ago?”

“That’s just erroneous information spread outward from there; truth be told, our Banshan Taoist lineage is nearly extinct. We were ostracized by the orthodox Taoist sects and at one time, besieged by so-called righteous sects, suffering heavy losses. In my generation, I am the only one left,” Wuliang Taoist sighed.

Lin Feng suddenly understood why Wuliang Taoist liked to dig up the ancestral graves of those so-called righteous sects.

With his capabilities, Wuliang Taoist could have searched for wild tombs or even Ancient Cultivation Cave Mansions.

But Wuliang Taoist specifically chose to desecrate the ancestral graves of major sects, likely due to the annihilation and heavy casualties his lineage faced.

The brutal deaths of Wuliang Taoist’s forebears filled him with hatred, thus he dug up those major sects’ ancestral graves for revenge.

At this point, Wuliang Taoist continued, “Currently, the inheritors of Faqiu Middle Lang are about a few hundred in number, whereas the Tomb Raider Captain ranks have swelled, moving in large packs.”

“Oh? The Tomb Raider Captain moving in large packs? So many of them?” Lin Feng was surprised.

“This has to do with the origins of the Tomb Raider Captain; you must know about the Great Qin Empire,” Wuliang Taoist said.

Lin Feng nodded his head.

The Great Qin Empire, one of the Four Great Ancient Imperial Dynasties of Central Province, ranking alongside Great Xia, Great Zhou, and Great Shang.

This was a truly renowned Ancient Force.

“In the Ancient Era, during years of continuous warfare, the aristocratic Ying Family began competing for supremacy, their power growing stronger. However, as the wars persisted, the consumption of resources was enormous, and gradually, the Ying Family became overwhelmed. Fortuitously, a master among the Ying Family who enjoyed studying the Mystical Gate Evasion Skill, Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, and other Qihuang Skills, formed a team named the Tomb Raider Captain. This Ying Family master then led the Tomb Raider Captain deep underground, to plunder treasures from ancient tombs to support the expansion of the Ying Family. The strength of the Ying Family grew ever stronger until the establishment of the Great Qin Empire, with the Tomb Raider Captain playing a significant role,” explained Wuliang Taoist about the origins of the Tomb Raider Captain.

Lin Feng said, “The Tomb Raider Captain always acted as a group? What eventually became of them?”

Wuliang Taoist sneered, “After the establishment of the Great Qin Empire, knowing that their years of plundering ancient tombs could not be exposed, they ordered the execution of all the Tomb Raider Captains.”

“Hissss, what a ruthless move to completely eradicate them, those methods are truly harsh.”

Lin Feng gasped in shock.

Wuliang Taoist nodded and said, “Although the first batch of Tomb Raider Captains were mostly killed, some of them managed to escape, allowing their Taoist teachings to be passed down. Now, there are nine branches of Tomb Raider Captains, all of which have been inherited from the Ancient Era.”

“What about Faqiu Middle Lang?” Lin Feng asked.

“This is a Taoist lineage that emerged after the Ancient Era ended. In the late Ancient Era, during the great battle between gods and demons, countless deities and demons fell. Subsequently, many cemeteries were established to bury these Divine Demons. Thus, people who guarded these cemeteries of Divine Demons were known as Faqiu Middle Langs. Though their duty was merely to guard the corpses of the Divine Demons, these Faqiu Middle Langs indulged in robbery and theft. Not only did they steal Divine Demon Blood for cultivation, but some also exhumed Divine Demon Bones to seek the Divine Skills imprinted within. Therefore, among the special professions of Banshan Taoists, Tomb Raider Captains, and Faqiu Middle Langs, the Faqiu Middle Langs are regarded as the most shameful, deceitful, and despicable of all. They are utterly ruthless,” Wuliang Taoist explained.

Wuliang Taoist spoke of Faqiu Middle Langs with apparent disdain.

However, Lin Feng also detected a hint of grinding teeth in his tone, which made him wonder if Wuliang Taoist had previously suffered at the hands of a Faqiu Middle Lang.

Of course, Lin Feng did not ask, to avoid bringing up any painful memories for Wuliang Taoist.

The two continued talking as they ate, and their relationship seemed to grow warmer.

Lin Feng then continued, “What brings you here?”

Wuliang Taoist lowered his voice, whispering, “There’s an ancient tomb here, burying an Ancient Demon.”

“Ancient Demon?” Lin Feng was slightly startled.

“Yes, it’s said to be a Heavenly Demon. I have come here to excavate this Heavenly Demon Tomb,” Wuliang Taoist said.

Heavenly Demon!

These were the most fearsome kind of demons, residing in the extraterrestrial world. During the Middle Ages, Heavenly Demons invaded the Heavenly Martial Continent, causing devastation.

Lin Feng had not expected that there could be a Heavenly Demon Tomb here.

A Heavenly Demon capable of traveling from the extraterrestrial world to the Heavenly Martial Continent must be from above the Divine Spirit Realm.

Hence, the value of this Heavenly Demon Tomb was truly immense.

If they could excavate the Heavenly Demon Tomb, the benefits would be unimaginable.

“Heavenly Demon Tomb? So, there might be Heavenly Demon Stones. By following this Banshan Taoist to excavate the Heavenly Demon Tomb, obtaining a Heavenly Demon Stone could earn your help,” spoke Demon Monarch through a transmission.

Lin Feng nodded. He looked at Wuliang Taoist and said, “Taoist Master, isn’t it too dangerous for you to go to the Heavenly Demon Tomb alone? I will accompany you. Two people are safer than one.”

Wuliang Taoist smirked and said, “Forget it, excavating ancient tombs is not something just anyone can do.”

Lin Feng smiled slightly and said, “Taoist Master, please look.”

Wuliang Taoist looked at Lin Feng.

Lin Feng gently tapped the table with his right hand, and the wine in the cup transformed into a Water Dragon, spiraling in mid-air, baring its fangs and claws.

“Dragon Seeking Technique.”

Wuliang Taoist’s mouth twitched violently.

Then, he started cursing, “It must have been that Fire Kirin following you that taught you the Dragon Seeking Technique. That bastard promised me it wouldn’t spread the technique. Taoist Master will flay its skin alive when I see it.”

Wuliang Taoist cried out in fury.
