Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique

Chapter 357: Chapter 9 Helping Hand

The soul soldier swirled within the black fog, its entire face twisted, but through the murkiness, the sinister fangs, the ghastly green pupils, the blood-red tongue, and the sharp claws were still discernible.

Lin Feng had witnessed soul soldiers attack cultivators several times before and knew of their strange and unpredictable nature, so he didn’t dare to be careless in front of the soul soldier before him.

This soul soldier exuded an aura that sent shivers down Lin Feng’s spine. Swoosh… silently, the soul soldier launched itself at Lin Feng again.

“To think it’s completely silent, no wonder it could evade my detection.”

Lin Feng was inwardly shocked. These soul soldiers were truly bizarre, the perfect assassins, lurking without a sound and then striking a deadly blow.

Very few people could evade such an attack from a soul soldier.

Whoosh…

The Black Dragon Sword was conjured by Lin Feng.

As the soul soldier struck again, its sharp claws reached out directly for Lin Feng’s chest.

The soul soldier’s weapon was its own claws.

Clang!

Lin Feng swung the Black Dragon Sword, clashing fiercely with the claws of the soul soldier, emitting a sonorous clang.

Sparks flew.

This shocked Lin Feng greatly. His Black Dragon Sword was a supreme treasure from the Divine Sword Record.

A common spiritual artifact would be damaged by a single strike and might even be destroyed by the Black Dragon Sword.

But the soul soldier’s claws had actually managed to withstand the attack from the Black Dragon Sword.

“Swoosh.”

Lin Feng quickly retreated. He didn’t want to engage in prolonged combat with the soul soldier because it was far too eerie, and Lin Feng didn’t know what other tricks it might have in store for him.

But at that moment, two more soul soldiers flew over from a distance. Shrouded in black fog, their wide, black robes unfurled, making them appear like dead spirits stepping out from the Hell World.

The two soul soldiers reached out with their sharp claws towards Lin Feng.

Lin Feng, who had wanted to flee, was forced to fend off the attacks of the two soul soldiers.

He swung the Black Dragon Sword, slashing at them.

Clang, clang…

With consecutive strikes, he repelled both of the soul soldiers.

He was just about to soar into the skies.

But the next moment.

“Ah!”

Lin Feng clutched his head and screamed in agony.

He fell straight from the sky.

Lin Feng felt as if his soul were splitting apart, the pain was almost worse than death.

A soul attack.

He had been hit by a soul attack from the soul soldier.

“Soul soldier! Soul soldier!”

Naturally, they were called “soul soldiers” because of their significant connection to the “soul.”

What soul soldiers excelled in, and what was most terrifying, were the bizarre soul attacks that one simply could not guard against.

Before, Lin Feng had seen a mere handful of soul soldiers slay dozens of cultivators because they had launched soul attacks.

The power of Lin Feng’s soul was on par with that of a cultivator in the Fifth Layer Heaven of the Yin Yang Realm.

Yet he was still unable to withstand the soul attacks from these soul soldiers.

This alone showed just how fearsome these soul soldiers’ soul attacks were.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…

Three soul soldiers rapidly charged towards Lin Feng, aiming to eliminate him just as they had others.

In this moment of great danger, Lin Feng’s mind finally cleared up a bit.

Although he had been subjected to a soul attack by the soul soldiers, Lin Feng’s soul power was ultimately too strong, and he himself had cultivated the Soul Secret Technique.

Therefore, the damage he suffered was not as severe as imagined.

“Chaos Lamp, illuminate the mountains and rivers.”

Lin Feng roared.

When the three soul soldiers lunged to attack, he summoned his life-bound magical treasure “Chaos Ancient Lamp.”

The Chaos Ancient Lamp flew out, its flame burning fiercely, wrapping Lin Feng in a layer of Chaos Light, protecting him within.

As the sharp claws of the three soul soldiers stabbed towards Lin Feng’s body, their attacks were blocked by the Chaos Light formed by the Chaos Ancient Lamp.

At the same time.

The flames of the Chaos Lamp surged skyward.

Three clusters of flames shot out, instantly igniting the mist around the three soul soldiers.

The flame of the Chaos Ancient Lamp was lit by Lin Feng using “Heavenly Fire,” and now it was infused with the power of Chaos Ancestral Qi, extremely terrifying.

Hiss hiss hiss hiss…

The surrounding mist burned violently around the three soul soldiers, who let out angry and painful roars.

Whoosh.

Lin Feng swiftly flew towards the distance.

He didn’t know if the flames would extinguish the three soul soldiers, but their roars would surely summon other soul soldiers. If he didn’t leave now, he might as well await death.

Lin Feng felt as if his head was about to split open; he knew he needed to find a place to recover quickly.

Within a mountain range, he found a dry cave mansion, set up several invisible arrays, then entered and immediately began to operate the Ancient Dragon Elephant Technique to heal his injuries.

To escape from the hands of the three soul soldiers was an extremely fortunate event; these soul soldiers were too strange and terrifying.

After an unknown period, Lin Feng felt he had mostly recovered when he heard the sounds of fighting outside.

Lin Feng crept out cautiously, and from a distance, he saw three soul soldiers engaged in a fierce battle with six cultivators.

“Ah…”

A scream rang out, as a cultivator roared in pain, likely also subject to a soul attack by a soul soldier.

That soul soldier charged over instantly, its sharp claws piercing through the chest of the cultivator.

The soul attacks of soul soldiers were different from those of cultivators.

When cultivators dueled, they were highly focused, protected by True Qi, and soul attacks had a hard time harming the opponent.

But the soul attacks of soul soldiers were pervasive, even if you were a Yin Yang Realm powerhouse, possessing Mana to shield yourself, you would still be attacked by the soul soldiers’ soul attacks.

That’s what made the soul soldiers truly terrifying.

Ah…

Screams echoed once again; these soul soldiers were too fearsome, and within a few breaths, two more experts were killed.

Lin Feng took out the “Great Sun Split Divine Bow,” a treasured spiritual artifact giant bow he had obtained when he killed Nalan Tianjiao.

Lin Feng took out three Magic Arrows and shot them toward the three soul soldiers.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh…

The arrows flew like lightning, rapidly firing toward the three soul soldiers.

The three soul soldiers reacted very quickly, dodging swiftly upon seeing the incoming arrows.

“Run!” Lin Feng shouted loudly.

The three surviving cultivators hurriedly flew towards Lin Feng.

But halfway through, two of the cultivators screamed in agony.

They were attacked by the soul soldiers, their souls damaged, and the three soul soldiers surged forward, piercing their chests, killing them instantly on the spot.

Only the third cultivator seemed to have a powerful magical treasure; when the soul attack of the soul soldier came blasting, a golden light flashed on his body, which blocked the soul soldiers’ attack. Of course, the cultivator was not completely unaffected, his complexion was very pale. He quickly joined Lin Feng, and the two dashed off into the distance, disappearing into the vast mist in the blink of an eye.
