Tempest of the Stellar War

Boom…

Snowflakes were scattered all around. The mech was falling in almost a straight line. The Wargod jumped up and while it was in mid-air, the golden rays on his beam saber grew rapidly. He slashed his sword down once again. His Metal attribute aura was capable of destroying all things and no one could defend against it. Bartley was getting excited from the killing. It had been a long time since he met someone who could withstand his attacks.

Wang Zheng’s Conqueror executed a forceful maneuver. The arms of the mech seemed to be lacking in strength as it rebounded off the snowfield and flew out.

Rub…

A wall of ice had blocked Bartley. Bartley was able to easily destroy the wall with a wave of his sword. This type of tricks weren’t anything to him.

However, Wang Zheng’s intention wasn’t to defend but to buy some time. With his Wind ability, his Conqueror was able to open up a distance.

Wang Zheng was a little bottled up in this fight. His opponents in the Elite Academy focused on the elegance of their ultimate moves. However an enemy like Bartley focused entirely on practicality and Wang Zheng didn’t see him using any area of effect skill. Yet every stroke of his was lethal and he wasn’t holding back at all. This wasn’t a great fight to watch at all.

Coupled with his Metal attribute Ability that was capable of destroying everything, he could be considered to be the a very practical fighter. If it was other Ability X users, Wang Zheng’s Primordial Regression Technique would be able to demonstrate extremely strong physical techniques. However his Primordial Regression Technique was being used to defend against the aura of Bartley’s Metal attribute Ability. Through this fight, Wang Zheng was even more determined to reach B rank as the single difference in class could be the key to victory.

Unfortunately this wasn’t a fight between one from school and one who focused on practicality.

In the practical battle aspect, Wang Zheng wouldn’t lose out to anyone. The difference in Ability X wasn’t beyond remedy. Those B rank Ability users that he had encountered previously all had masteries that weren’t weak at all. It was just that they didn’t handle the details well enough and Wang Zheng was able to reduce the destructive power of the other party and counterattack with his physical techniques. However when he faced Bartley, depending on Ability X alone wouldn’t be enough. The key was that the aura of the Metal attribute Ability wasn’t easy to defend against. The attribute that might be able to slightly counter it was the Earth attribute. However Wang Zheng didn’t know how to use it and this had caused the difference between them to seem even larger.

Bartley was also feeling a little dizzy. He had used all the different moves and yet he couldn’t kill someone his junior. He could be considered as a demon. If this kid was allowed to grow, no one would be his match.

Bartley had also made up his mind. He once again used his ability to control metal. Wang Zheng was prepared this time and his body reacted very quickly. His reactions were flawless and allowed him to accelerate and increased his strength once he felt the mech started to move slightly. The reaction speed was also a result of Primordial Regression Technique. At this point, even if Bartley was silly, he would still be able to deduce that this opponent in front of him specialised in physical techniques. It was just that Wang Zheng had been countered by his Ability X and had caused Wang Zheng to be unable to perform. This was what the masters could determine and they would never mislook any of their opponents’ weakness. Bartley was even more determined not to allow Wang Zheng to demonstrate his strengths.

The aura of the Metal attribute Ability was extremely destructive. However the weakness would be that it wouldn’t last long and was about finishing things in a single move. Otherwise, the user would be depleted and weakened. If the other party continue to pester him, he wouldn’t be able to make it.

If it was another opponent, Bartley would have finished him off earlier. Just when Wang Zheng thought that Bartley was disgusting, Bartley felt that this kid was even more disgusting. He had never seen a warrior from a school that had such solid foundation to the point that there was no openings. The two of them were almost at each other’s necks with both of them knowing the weaknesses and strengths of each other. Bartley had the first-mover advantage but if he couldn’t finish the battle he wouldn’t last till the end. This was because Wang Zheng was younger after all and he had been drinking and playing a lot over the years.

Those that depended on those elegant and showy Abilities X to beat up their opponents in battle would almost certainly die gruesomely in a practical battle. Those who had experienced over hundreds of battles were more likely to know the impossibility of it. Most of the Ability X users that had accumulated sufficient battle experiences could likely handle a practical battle but the openings one left after missing in an attack would most likely be fatal.

Therefore Ability X users from schools were known for striking first while those who specialised in practical battles would know how to strike after a missed attack.

Which side would be stronger would be dependent on the situation. However, Wang Zheng had met Bartley in battle. If Wang Zheng had the same Ability X as Bartley, he would have killed the other party.

After battling to this point, Bartley knew clearly that this kid in front of him wasn’t agitated at all. His mental qualities and battle experiences were all top notch. The one who would feel that he would not die should be him.

As an Earth Grade warrior, how could he not have a final ultimate move? However it was better for him to use such move as little as he can. The less people who knew about it, the more likely it could be used to save his life.

Wargod and Conqueror clashed head on over a few strikes. It was an even match again. Wang Zheng’s defence was airtight and didn’t give his opportunities any opportunities.

The atmosphere became heavy suddenly. Wang Zheng knew what the other party was thinking and the other party also knew what he was thinking. Bartley had the first-mover advantage. Wang Zheng couldn’t be brash. Being brash would be the devil. Currently, he was forcing Bartley to fight for his life and that would be winning half the battle. However half the battle was only half a battle. If he couldn’t withstand his move, he would be dead.

However it was during such moments that Wang Zheng got more excited. It was as though he was addicted to it. Any killing moves of a master were the result of flesh and blood and the crystallisation of their Ability X and wisdom. This had nothing to do with their integrity.

The Wargod displayed an attacking posture and held its beam saber horizontally in front of him. They were on an open field. It had been a long time since Bartley had such a feeling. This was equivalent to a battle between two Earth Grade people.

However the world was just this unfair. If this battle was delayed for a few years and Bartley encountered Wang Zheng, death would be the only possibility for him. However this had happened a few years earlier and the only outcome would be Wang Zheng dying in his hands. In this world, there had been countless geniuses that had perished under such circumstances.

Only living on would one achieve the glory and honour and created history. It was just like the once glamorous Pirate King.

Wang Zheng had already gathered the power of Wind and Ice in front of him. Fire was useless in Aisbotan. It was especially so as he was facing an Earth Grade master. Ability X that wasn’t up on par would be completely useless. The power of Wind could slightly disrupt the other party. It might just be a few milliseconds but that would already be valuable for Wang Zheng.

The beam saber continued to gather cold rays and he was preparing his Primordial Regression Technique carefully. He also activated his Analysis ability. At this moment, Wang Zheng had entered another world where only his opponent remained. Every movement of his opponent would be within his control.

In Wang Zheng’s vision, Bartley’s aura of his Metal attribute ability was raging and strong. It had even covered the entire Wargod. The crucial thing was that the distribution of the Ability X had shown wave-like rotations.

Wang Zheng also didn’t know what Bartley wanted to do. However, it was time to decide the match.

With a loud explosion, Bartley’s Wargod disappeared.

The next moment, the mech had appeared in front of Wang Zheng. The beam saber had arrived in front of him… a final strike with all his powers?

It was truly a final strike with all his power but there was no technical aspect to it?

Wang Zheng felt puzzled but couldn’t afford to be slow in reacting. His beam saber had gone up against the incoming sword with full strength.

Boom~~~

Light exploded in all direction. This strike had truly caused Wang Zheng to vomit blood. However, he knew that the other party wouldn’t be much better off.

The crucial thing was that Wang Zheng’s Conqueror was sent flying backwards and he had made use of the momentum to disperse some of the energy. If the party wanted to fight him with his life, what Wang Zheng would need was to be steady.

This strike had truly obstructed the Wargod. Unconventional tricks like freezing the legs of the mech was especially useful at this moment.

Bartley revealed a hideous smile instead. His mech seemed to have tensed up and maintained its previous posture. However, his beam saber was swung out fiercely and suddenly.
