Tempest of the Stellar War

Wang Zheng shrugged. “Well, there must have been a reason. Actually, I’m not sure either… I guess it’s probably fate. I think we’d make better friends than enemies. Of course, the final decision is in your hands.”

“Aren’t you afraid I’ll go back on my word?” asked Heaven.

Wang Zheng laughed, “If that were really the kind of person you were, I definitely don’t think I would be alive right now. I think we would make good comrades.”

Heaven closed his eyes and fell silent. Wang Zheng’s words had hit Heaven’s sweet spot. No… Heaven didn’t belong in the lonely atmosphere of the Underworld. As Heaven looked at Wang Zheng and Yan Xiaosu, he saw a reflection of himself and couldn’t bear to leave. If they were able to live this way…

Boom…

The quilt had exploded in the hands of Lear Chronos.

Although it would have been difficult for the Earth Grade killer to escape, the organization had indeed showcased their might and left Heaven with two options – either complete the task or face death.

No one would have predicted that the poor fool Heaven would be killed by Wang Zheng.

Four days.

Lear Chronos’ ass could have guessed what technique Wang Zheng would use but Heaven, that fool! F*ck, he was a killer not a freaking knight! This guy actually decided to play the match alone and even ran right into the jungle? He had a death wish!

Lear Chronos had witnessed Wang Zheng’s jungle combat ability and resilience. That level of endurance was more toxic than the most poisonous of cobras. It was safe to say that even when this young bloke Wang Zheng was tired, he could still could outlast his opponents.

To counter Wang Zheng, one had to play dirty – the dirtier the better. However, being Lear Chronos, he could not. As a future king, he had to maintain a sparkling image and his underlings? Well… they were a bunch of fools. Useless!

But something had to change. Every world had its rules and dark organizations were no exception. However, to turn a local killer into a house pet, the other party would have to showcase their strength. He really could not be underestimated. Looking at the state of the matter, it seemed like Lear Chronos would really have to take advantage of all the resources and strength he had within his power.

Perhaps, he could make Wang Zheng his very own stepping stone, slowly refining him bit by bit.

Thinking of what he had within his grasp, a wild grin broke upon his face. Truth be told, when the old man had transferred his power to Lear, he had not thought much of it. But looking back now, he had really underestimated them.

Somewhere in the galaxy, a long-forgotten person was deep in reflection. The old merchant stood at the crossroads of this crucial juncture of change. The more he understood about the Saint Church, the more fearful he became.

The old merchant was put in an important position. The church saw beyond his research ability and recognized his network and economic ability. New powers and resources were made available to him, allowing him to see more insiders, revealing hundred year old truths and the truth about the relationship between the major families and the churches currently active in the Milky Way.

At first, he felt that he could make a foreshadowing for Wang Zheng and even introduce Wang Zheng into the church. But now he found that this organization had been in existence for hundreds of years and was a terrorist existence hidden under the Milky Way Alliance. It was completely an uncontrollable beast. Not only did the major empires have intricate relationships, but even business associations such as business alliances and trade unions.

However, their inheritance was very strange. It seemed that they were looking for heirs. It was reasonable to say that in such an era of technology, there should not be such a mysterious and even superstitious thing, but the church had been pushing for it.

Their core strength was the cultivation techniques. With the power of the cultivation techniques, the power of the church was also recovering. All of it made the Old Merchant very worried. In fact, the Rubik’s Cube was even more of a taboo. The contents within it would definitely cause the Church to move. If not for that, the Old Merchant would have already introduced Wang Zheng. Now he all he could hope for was that Wang Zheng would never get involved in this battle. This was something he himself would never be able to attain.

Going back to Earth, the Old Merchant’s felt nostalgic. He could even feel a sense of homeliness. Unfortunately, it was unlikely that Wang Zheng would be able to go back to Earth so easily.

This was also good. He was able to avoiding the sight of the people who mattered to him. After all, as he knew too many things, he would definitely be under surveillance.

He returned to the bookstore which had barely changed. The Old Merchant quietly stayed for a while and left. It held much meaning to him having stayed there for so long. This time, he had come back, not for a vacation, but due to business from the Saint Church. He had things he needed to settle as well.

Ding!

The doorbell rang, “Come in.”

A black shadow floated in gently and placed a piece of paper to the Old Merchant’s desk without saying a word. Then, like a ghost, it disappeared quietly behind the door.

Ghosts. Old Merchant often saw these things. Deep down, just the sight of them caused him to feel cold inside. They were the people who were sent by those in the church. Furthermore these were the ones that he could see. It was likely that there were even more hiding in the shadows, quietly watching.

However, all this did not matter. His current actions were in line with the interests of the Saint Church and his ability was indeed irreplaceable. After all, a genius like him only appeared once every hundred years.

At this time, he looked at the paper document on the desk. It was made of special crafted paper with the symbol of the Saint Church printed on it. This was an ancient tradition which they had preserved.

Picking up the document, the Old Merchant noticed that there were 12 names that were hand written. It demonstrated that these 12 individuals had to be specially watched.

Right below were the instructions.

The words were concise. The Old Merchant had to pay attention and initiate contact with these 12 people and the 12 ancient families represented by them. Secretly he would also support several of them who were in a weak position in the family.

At the same time, the Old Merchant’s Skylink beeped.

Old Merchant smiled and connected to the Skylink. “Esteemed Elder, May I know why you are calling me?”

An old man with white hair could be seen replying. “Keke. I am just here to remind you that this task is extremely important for our future plans. Perhaps the Son of the Saint might also be amongst them. All other things are inconsequential. Focus on this task.”

Old Merchant’s face changed, the Son of the Saint!

In the Saint Church, there was a legend regarding the Son of the Saint. He had always thought it was a myth.

“Lear Chronos has been selected as a possible candidate and he is from one of the 12 families on Earth.”

The Skylink was turned off. The Old Merchant had no decision-making powers. This had to be done correctly as he was the representative of Earth. As the origin of the Saint Church, the Earth had always held significant influence. This was opposite to what was seen in the Milky Way Alliance Council.

The holidays were always short-lived. The second semester had begun. Everyone started to return to the Elite Academy. Wang Zheng had went from Tita Star to Roland Garros. Just before he left, he was held back by a group helmed by Rara Durai. Most of them were Wang Zheng’s classmates and relative to the giants, they really did seem like specks of dust. They had managed to survive the Earth Grade killer’s attacks and it looked as though the people of Tita had regained their face.

The Titan’s First Guards had been established in the process. A total of 500 giants were taught a cultivation technique. Although their standards were low, they had time to practice slowly. During the point where Wang Zheng was training them, the Giants had been thrown around and left in a state barely alive. However, seeing that even the Titan was subject to such grueling training, the rest did not have anything to say.

Lie Xin and Achilles planned to return to Mars and the Moon first to discuss further terms of cooperation with Tita Star. They planned to meet back at the Academy directly. Everyone knew that the second semester would definitely be full of shock. The battle was definitely going to become more intense.
