Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1803: Meeting the Past: Part-7

Someone… Locked… My memories?

His expression slowly stiffened.

Confusion, disbelief, and…

Unease!

None of it answered the only question that truly mattered.

Who?

He rubbed his forehead absentmindedly.

“…Hm?”

Something scratched against his fingers.

He lowered his hand.

Resting quietly in his palm… was the Hypercube Spatial Reactor.

The impossible four-dimensional object had somehow shrunk to the size of a small crystal, yet its interior still folded endlessly through impossible dimensions. Tiny streams of crimson light continued flowing inside it, as if an entire universe had been compressed into something small enough to fit within his hand.

Young Aether stared at it for several silent seconds.

“I officially don’t understand anything anymore.”

A weak smile escaped him.

He simply closed his fingers around the tiny cube.

There were too many questions.

Too few answers.

And somehow…

Everything had only become stranger.

Process it?

Find answers?

How?

Heck, he was more shocked than ever.

His memories had been locked?

Oh my God!!

The more he thought about it, the more his head throbbed. This wasn’t just stress anymore. It genuinely hurt.

“Fuck it!!”

He shook his head violently.

He didn’t have time for this.

Besides, he had come here for an entirely different reason. Whatever had happened inside his mind could wait. Right now, he needed to focus on the mission in front of him.

He raised his hand.

A circular spatial portal unfolded into existence.

TANG!!

A mech-suit crashed heavily onto the metallic floor, the impact sending dust and broken machine parts skidding across the chamber.

^What the… Why did you bring Genome Beta out?^

Young Aether smirked as he walked toward the unconscious mech, Twin Eclipses already spinning lightly between his wrists, ready to react if anything unexpected happened.

“You said the NLC would detect her the moment she came out of my portal, right?”

^Yes.^

“But… that’s only if she appeared somewhere inside their Empire.”

He crouched beside the armoured woman.

“Not… inside another dimensional portal.”

RIN remained silent.

For exactly two seconds.

Then the bunny avatar’s ears shot straight upward.

^…OH?^

Another second passed.

^OOOOHHHH!!^

The little holographic bunny suddenly jumped into the air, eyes sparkling with excitement before giving him an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

^That’s actually plausible! The outgoing signal wouldn’t propagate into normal space while isolated inside an enclosed dimensional pocket! It would never reach the outside communication grid!^

She crossed her tiny holographic arms.

^…Not bad, Aether. You actually surprised me.^

“I’ll take that as a compliment.”

Young Aether motioned toward Genome Beta.

“Run a full diagnostic. Is she alive?”

Blue scanning beams swept over the entire suit from head to toe.

Several holographic status windows rapidly appeared.

^Hmm… I’m detecting subtle electromagnetic interference. Her armour is still shielding almost every external signal. However…^

The bunny frowned.

^She’s completely unresponsive.^

“Did she die?”

He lightly nudged the armoured figure with his boot.

Since she was lying face down…

His foot accidentally tapped the reinforced armour protecting her ass.

“…Damn.”

He tilted his head thoughtfully.

“That’s some impressive ass.”

He gave the metallic plating another curious nudge.

“… I wonder how it feels ripping it off”

^…Pardon?^

RIN slowly turned toward him.

^Did you just…^

Young Aether immediately coughed.

“Cough! Cough!”

“I-I mean… the engineering!”

He waved both hands.

“The engineering! Look at the structural reinforcement around the pelvis. Wide support frame. Stable centre of gravity. Excellent weight distribution for mobility.”

The holographic bunny continued staring.

Blankly.

He somehow made things worse.

“I mean… she has… uh… child-bearing hips?”

Silence.

^…^

“…Motherly proportions?”

The bunny’s expression slowly transformed into complete horror.

Young Aether immediately panicked.

“Wait! That’s not what I meant either!”

He pointed at himself.

“I’m not some psychopath who goes around tearing women apart! I’m a gentleman!”

Another pause.

“Please stop looking at me like I rip people’s boobs off! That’s incredibly misogynistic!”

RIN still said absolutely nothing.

Somehow…

Her silence felt infinitely more judgmental than words.

Young Aether finally surrendered.

He cleared his throat.

“W-We should probably focus on the actual problem.”

He pointed toward Genome Beta.

“Since we’ve confirmed she’s unconscious… is there any way to eject her from the suit? Similar to Commander-class units?”

^…^

“…”

^…Sigh. Fine.^

The bunny finally let the previous conversation die.

^Unfortunately, your suit doesn’t contain detailed information regarding Governor-class emergency systems. However…^

Several blue schematics appeared around the mech.

^Her armour operates using a high-density energy reservoir. A controlled energy injection should forcibly restart the emergency systems and trigger an automatic cockpit release sequence.^

Young Aether snapped his fingers.

“Perfect.”

“Do it.”

The instant he finished speaking…

Two slender metallic rods smoothly extended from ports hidden beneath his fingertips.

Tiny streams of electricity danced along their surfaces.

The rods floated forward under magnetic control before carefully aligning with two emergency induction ports located near Genome Beta’s waist.

Tang!

The rods made contact.

ZZZZT!!

Brilliant arcs of blue electricity erupted between both suits before flowing directly into Genome Beta’s internal reactor.

For a brief second…

Nothing happened.

Then…

Every indicator across the armour suddenly illuminated.

[Genome Beta Online]

Mechanical systems throughout the suit awakened one after another.

Cooling fans accelerated.

Hydraulic servos engaged.

The visor instantly flooded with diagnostic information.

[Critical Pilot Status Detected]

[Medical Emergency Required]

[Sending Emergency Beacon…]

^Oi, buddy.^

RIN casually interrupted the transmission.

^Open the suit. I’ll provide medical treatment for your pilot.^

The AI paused.

[…Who are you?]

RIN puffed out her tiny holographic cheeks proudly.

^Heh… Think of me as a friendly neighbour.

Don’t you want to save your pilot? Right now, I’m the only medical assistance available within this vicinity. In fact… I’m the reason you’re even awake.^

[…]

The Genome AI hesitated.

RIN immediately pressed the advantage.

^Her heart rate has dropped below thirty beats per minute. Every second matters. If I disconnect, your systems will shut down again, and your emergency reservoir will eventually deplete. At that point… she’ll die before any rescue team arrives.^

She folded her tiny arms.

^Now tell me… isn’t protecting your pilot your highest priority?^

Silence.

RIN leaned closer to the holographic interface.

^See? I’m incredibly useful to my beloved companion. He even promised he’d someday build me a proper body and free me from living inside his helmet. Don’t you also wan—^

[…Anomaly detected in external AI.]

RIN froze.

Then awkwardly coughed.

^…Ahem. Professional mode activated.^

She straightened herself.

^I came here to save your pilot.^

Another long pause.

Finally…

[…Understood.]

HISSSSSSS!!

Compressed air erupted from every joint in the armour.

Mechanical locks disengaged in perfect sequence.

The back plating slowly separated while layers of folded backward like metallic petals.

Dense white vapour poured from the inside as built-up pressure escaped, carrying with it the heat trapped inside the suit.

For the first time…

The pilot hidden within the Genome Beta armour was finally revealed.

Young Aether curiously looked toward the exposed lower half of the suit.

The emergency armour had folded away just enough to reveal the black compression bodysuit underneath, tightly moulded around the pilot’s ass.

He gave a thoughtful nod.

“Yup… wide pelvis ass. Good for childbirth.”

He folded his arms with complete seriousness.

“Yes… that’s exactly what I was evaluating.”

A brief pause.

“For… medical reasons.”

Nothing else.

Absolutely nothing else.

Believe him!!

Then…

“…Wait a second.”

His eyes narrowed.

“I’ve seen this… before.”

He leaned in slightly.

That upper curve.

That dent.

Even the subtle curve of her ass.

It all felt strangely familiar.

“So familiar…”

Unable to ignore the feeling, he finally looked upward.

A short bob-cut hairstyle came into view.

Without much thought, he grabbed a handful of her hair and lifted her head.

Not gently.

More like someone pulling stubborn weeds out of a garden.

If she had been conscious…

The entire mountain would have heard her scream.

Young Aether, however, showed absolutely no mercy.

“So… what do we have here…”

Holding her up by her hair, he brought her face closer to examine it.

His expression remained perfectly blank.

Completely emotionless.

At least…

On the outside.

^Warning! Heart rate rapidly increasing!^

^One hundred forty… one hundred sixty… one hundred eighty…^

The bunny avatar’s eyes grew wider with every update.

^…Two hundred beats per minute?!^

^WHAT THE FUCK?!^

RIN nearly short-circuited.

For a split second, she wondered whether the woman’s dried face had somehow horrified him.

But no.

That couldn’t possibly explain this.

Two hundred beats per minute?

Modern sports cars didn’t accelerate that quickly.

How in the world did his cardiovascular system just launch itself into orbit?

Young Aether continued staring silently at the unconscious woman.

His face remained unreadable.

Completely expressionless.

His heart…

Was telling an entirely different story.

RIN immediately searched through every accessible database.

Facial recognition.

Identity confirmed within seconds.

^Subject Identified…

“…Nova.”

^Nova Kestrel.^

The name escaped Young Aether’s lips almost subconsciously.

His fingers loosened.

The handful of hair slipped free.

THUNK!

Her head dropped right back onto the partially opened cockpit with a rather unfortunate metallic knock.

Young Aether didn’t even notice.

He simply stood there.

Frozen.

Then he threw both hands toward the ceiling.

“FUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”

The shout echoed through the ruined laboratory.

Loose dust drifted from the fractured ceiling.

Even RIN’s holographic bunny instinctively covered her ears.

^…That…^

She slowly looked between Nova and Young Aether.

Then back again.

^I have several questions… and judging by your heart rate… I’m going to assume none of the answers are simple.^

“She… My… Ex’s Mother,” He mumbled quietly after a big shout!

“—”
