Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1565: Vesperine is in... Love?

From the moment she settled onto his lap, her body betrayed her in the most treacherous way.

Her hips moved on their own, restless rhythm as she unconsciously rubbed herself against him, not out of desire, not out of intent... it simply happened!!

It was like she was a bitch in heat, and the thought alone made her stomach twist.

Even though all she had wanted was to tease him, to play with his reactions and watch that calm mask crack... yet, her body told a completely different story.

Her movements turned shameless without her permission, her warmth pressing against him as though she was silently begging, as though her body spoke a language she could no longer control.

Victor knew about Vesperine and her relationships.

And now she was here, moving like this against someone she had only just met, someone who could judge her in a single glance... wouldn’t that make her look like a loose woman?

’That’s the last thing I want to hear from him,’ she thought, her face draining of colour.

He had called her cute, had looked at her with something softer, something almost gentle, and that mattered more than she expected.

All she wanted was to tease him, to make him notice her as something mature, something alluring yet composed... not like a woman consumed by heat, not like someone reduced to instinct.

Wouldn’t this make him think less of her, strip away whatever fragile image he had begun to form?

What if he thought she was just a slut, someone who would fall into anyone’s arms without hesitation?

Even though she had only slept with five men in her entire life, each moment carved out of necessity, out of survival rather than desire.

It was never something she chose freely, never something she embraced.

And yet, her body now told a different story.

”I... I... am not... a slut.”

Her voice slipped out in fragments, barely more than a whisper that clung to the air between them.

She remained on his lap, unmoving now, as if frozen in place, as if something within her had cracked and she did not know how to piece it back together.

For reasons she could not fully understand, she did not want him to see her like this.

Her chest tightened painfully, breath catching as if invisible hands pressed against her ribs. Just moments ago, he had called her sexy, yet cute and innocent, and those words lingered, wrapping around her thoughts like something precious she could not afford to lose.

She wanted that image to remain, to survive this moment.

No, she needed him to believe it, needed him to see her that way till the very end.

Her fingers tightened against his shoulder, clutching him as if he were the only thing keeping her from slipping further into something she could not control.

”P-Please... don’t...”

Her voice trembled, carrying more meaning than the words themselves, fragile, pleading, almost breaking.

Victor was surprised, deeply, genuinely surprised... by this sudden, sharp fracture in her demeanour.

The Vesperine he had seen as Aether stood proud, haughty, dangerously confident, someone who played with fire as if she owned it.

The Vesperine before him now felt entirely different, softer in a way that was not weakness but something more complicated, something that trembled beneath the surface.

Why?

What had changed so drastically between those moments?

Was there something he was missing, something hidden beneath the layers she showed the world?

His gaze lingered on her trembling shoulders, the subtle shiver that ran through her as if a single careless word from him could shatter everything she was holding together.

Why was she reacting like this, as if his opinion alone carried that much weight?

Was he overlooking something important, something he had never bothered to understand?

Something he had chosen not to see before?

He had never truly tried to understand people beyond what he needed... had he?

’What if... I mean... what if she was forced to do things, just like me?’

The thought came quietly. For a brief second, it lingered.

But he shook his head, dismissing it almost immediately.

So far, everything he knew told him his path was his own. His log, his power, his choices, they all belonged to him, shaped by necessity, guided by survival.

Even these powers, granted by some unknown entity, felt singular, focused only on him, as if he alone stood at the centre of whatever unseen design controlled his fate.

And he was certain of one thing.

Whatever those forces were, they were not interested in anyone else.

But still... this woman knew too many things, far more than she should have.

’Come to think of it... Kaelen said she saved him a few times from danger before... as if she knew there was going to be danger and appeared right when he was trapped in it,’ Victor hummed, a faint frown forming on his face as his thoughts sharpened.

’...A regressor? Possible...’

Or... maybe he was simply overthinking it.

Still,

Victor gently reached out, his fingers brushing against her shoulder, steadying her trembling form as if calming something fragile, something on the verge of breaking.

”Look at you... trembling like a little kitten.”

”H-Huh?”

Her voice came out small, startled, as if she had been pulled out of a storm of thoughts she could not escape.

He tilted her chin upward, his touch firm yet careful, guiding her gaze to meet his.

”Do you really think this Might Dragon Emperor would look down on you just because you got a little curious about me?”

”When I said you were still cute and innocent... I meant every word.”

”...”

Before she could process it, Victor’s hands moved to her hips, his grip firm enough to ground her, yet not forceful. The sudden contact sent a sharp tremor through her body.

”Ahh~”

A soft sound slipped from her lips.

In one smooth motion, he placed her back onto the table before them. The teacups rattled and toppled, their contents spilling as the quiet setting shattered into disarray.

Her twin tails spread across the polished surface, strands of hair catching the dim light, while her cheeks flushed a deep crimson.

Her breathing grew uneven, shallow, as if something within her had been stirred awake without warning.

”H-Huh?”

Again, confusion flooded her expression, her thoughts struggling to keep pace with what was happening.

Victor leaned slightly closer, his gaze locking onto hers with a quiet intensity that made it impossible to look away.

”Do you know... I came here prepared to accept a marriage alliance?”

”H-Huh?”

The words struck her harder than anything before, her lips parting slightly in disbelief.

”After all... that’s the deal you wanted to make with Aether, right?” he continued, as his fingers brushed lightly against her cheek. ”And yet... here you are, speaking so openly, without a single concern... even asking me to massage your foot for a huge information?”

His eyes narrowed just slightly.

”You could have asked for far more. Land... power... even the position of an emperor’s wife.”

”Why didn’t you?”

Those words hit her like a sudden drop into cold water.

For the first time, Vesperine’s expression shifted completely, confusion overtaking everything else.

Bro what?

Why the hell did she not think of that?

She, who would seize every opportunity, twist every situation into her advantage... how did she miss something so obvious?

”I... I...”

Her lips moved, but no proper answer came.

’H-How did I not think of that? Me? I-If I had taken the role of a bride... I could have had him completely under my control—?’

And honestly...

That was exactly what confused Victor the most.

He came prepared for anything and yet... everything went differently than what he predicted.

Vesperine looked at Victor, her gaze lingering on him even though there was no heart meter floating above his head.

She could have used her abilities. Her pink mist could have easily slipped into that familiar role, and... with just a single sip from her nectar, she knew he would be hers without a second thought... yet... why didn’t she use it?

This was the Dragon Emperor, a man personally taken as the Sovereign’s disciple, someone whose value far exceeded anyone she had ever encountered.

If she had simply mixed her nectar into the tea he drank, this man would already belong to her.

And yet... she didn’t do it.

Why?

Ba-dump... Ba-dump... Ba-dump...

Her heartbeat echoed loudly in her ears, each pulse heavier than the last, as if trying to break free from her chest.

Why was her heart beating like this?

This had never happened before... never.

Her eyes slowly turned misty, her vision blurring slightly as she stared at Victor, who was already watching her with a quiet.

Victor’s lips curled into a faint smirk, his eyes gleaming with a teasing edge.

”Perhaps... Mrs Vesperine... have you fallen for mighty me?”

[+4000 AP]

[+4000 AP]

[+4000 AP]

Vesperine’s eyes widened instantly, horror flashing across her face as the words struck deep.

’F-Fallen? M-Me? N-No way!!’

Without thinking, she pushed him away, her hands pressing against his chest with sudden force.

That was not how things were supposed to go.

She was the one who seduced, the one who made others fall for her, not the one who lost control!

No way!!!

She quickly stood up, straightening her clothes with slightly trembling hands, trying to regain whatever composure she had left.

”I-If you are done with your business... please leave.”

Her voice came out uneven, her eyes lowered as she avoided looking at him, avoiding even the thought of facing herself. Her heart pounded wildly, faster than raindrops striking the ground during a storm.

She needed to be alone for the time being... She really needed to be alone!

Victor watched her for a few seconds before giving a small nod.

”Good... well, I will see you tomorrow in my Empire.”

He placed a token on the table.

”This will grant you entry into the Empire.”

Vesperine did not respond, only letting out a quiet, ”Hmm...” as she moved to follow him.

As Victor walked toward the front door, she trailed behind him, her steps slower, her mind still lost in a storm she could not calm.

The silence between them stretched.

Vesperine kept her gaze fixed on the ground, unable to lift her head, unable to look at him.

Something felt wrong within her... something unfamiliar and unsettling.

Her chest ached.

Why?

Her fingers tightened into a small fist as they reached the front door.

”Hmm... It’s locked?” Victor said.

Vesperine snapped out of her thoughts, blinking quickly as she looked at her cleavage.

”O-Oh... right...”

Her hand instinctively moved toward her cleavage to retrieve the key, but the moment her fingers searched, her expression froze.

It wasn’t there.

’D-Did it fall down?’

Her face turned pale. She needed to remove her clothes?

No way!

Then—

Thuck!

The soft sound of unlocking echoed in the quiet space.

Her head snapped up, and her eyes widened as she saw Victor standing there, casually holding the key between his fingers.

”H-How?”

Her voice came out in pure shock, disbelief written all over her face.

Victor smirked, his expression carrying that same teasing confidence as before.

”You should hide it in a better place next time...”

As he licked his key seductively with his long tongue.

!!!!

A sharp shiver ran down her spine, sudden and overwhelming, as her legs gave out beneath her.

She collapsed to the ground, her breath coming in uneven bursts while her eyes remained locked on Victor’s retreating figure.

”Huff... Huff... Huff... W-What is this feeling? M-Mother... Master...”

Her voice trembled, barely holding together as confusion and something far more dangerous twisted inside her.

When he gave her that look, that slow, knowing gaze, she had felt exposed, as if every layer of her had been stripped away under his eyes.

And when he licked the key...

It felt as though her own body had been touched, traced, claimed in a way she could not explain.

It was wrong.

It was unsettling.

It was—

Her heart pounded harder, faster, each beat echoing violently in her chest as heat rushed to her cheeks and spread downward, pooling low within her body in a way she had never experienced before.

This was not how things were supposed to go.

This was not how it should feel.

This was...

”This is... This is SSSSOOOOO WWWRRRRRONNNNNNNNGGGGG!!!!!”

Her voice tore through the air, echoing across the surroundings.

Victor, already walking past the gates, heard the scream clearly.

A slow, sly smirk spread across his face, his eyes gleaming with quiet amusement.

”So? How is it?”

!~Ding~!

[👏👏 Fabulous!! 1000 points for acting! Even I was almost fooled by you! You’re getting better and better each time! Damn, I almost thought you were going to break her foot!!! Sigh...😓]

Victor’s grin deepened, something sharp and dangerous settling into his expression.

”Even so, it was kind of hard to make a move without fully understanding her... she was really difficult to read, hard to guess what she was thinking...”

His tone lowered slightly, ”And honestly... I almost killed her off, if not for her weird reactions. That was out of my predictions.”

He exhaled lightly, then his eyes sharpened again, focus returning.

”But anyway... one is down, two more to go~”

A faint frown crossed his face for a brief moment before he activated his skill, his figure moving forward with increased speed, disappearing into the distance.
