Lackey's Seducing Survival Odyssey

Chapter 1237: Madness vs Madness: Part-1

”Pufff!! Hahaha, look at his face, so shocked, that’s too cute, right? Too damn cute for someone who thought he could stand against us,” Morgana said with an amused tone, her laughter dragging out like the ringing of broken bells, as she was pulled along by Mary, who stood proudly before the dead body of Victor.

Mary tilted her head and looked at Morgana, lips curling in a grin far too wide, ”How was it? Good, right? Come on, tell me honestly, what is the score now!” she demanded with an excited, childlike face that didn’t match the bloodstained ground beneath her feet and her hand.

Morgana nodded with a big smile, saying slowly, ”I say... 70.”

”Huh? Only 70? Look at his shocked face! Look at it!

It’s more amusing than anything... haha... don’t I deserve even more? I worked hard for that expression, didn’t I?” Mary pouted like a spoiled child, stamping her heel lightly.

!~Ding~!

[Charm effect removed!]

Aether flinched, his shoulders jerking. Even though she wasn’t talking to him.

He was charmed? For real? His face darkened into a slight frown, lips twitching in disbelief.

Mary continued without sparing him a glance, ”But seriously, kicking my pitiful body and saying those words... I am so hurt, you know... sniff, sniff...” She exaggerated the sound, sniffing her nose as though she was truly crying.

Morgana’s face twisted sour, her lips trembling as if she would break into sobs, ”Please don’t cry... I will cry too... I didn’t mean to hurt you, it’s just... it’s just that...” her voice cracked before she suddenly smirked, eyes narrowing with delight,

”I find it amusing~”

Mary giggled with a shiver, ”Hehe... amusing, right? You should have kicked me harder, left me crawling in the dirt more~” she turned slightly, showing her back, ”Come on... kick me~”

Morgana slapped it with a sharp snap, grinning, ”Oh no, it will be boring now~ And I am not interested in your flat ass”

Aether blankly stared at the duo... what the fuck was he watching?

What the fuck was he supposed to make of this circus?

More like... what the fuck was going on here?

It was like... he was staring into a mirror split into two bodies. Both of their actions, both of their words, both of their expressions... twisted, reflecting each other perfectly, like broken glass that still carried the same reflection.

”Both sisters?” Aether muttered with an utterly surprised, almost horrified tone.

Mary and Morgana froze for a breath, then turned their eyes toward him in perfect sync, blinking at the same time, their voices overlapping in eerie unison,

””Sisters?””

They looked at each other, their faces melting into pitiful masks, voices dripping with sorrow that was too exaggerated to be real, ”Hope we are...”

”I wish I had been born with you... sniff, sniff...” Morgana’s face crumpled as she started to cry, tears mixing with the blood smeared on her skin.

Mary blinked slowly, ”Oh dear, don’t cry.... So what if we were born from different bitches... we’re still together, right? That’s all that matters...” she hugged Morgana tightly with a trembling voice.

Aether... they are not?!

”Oh? Can you make this disappear? It’s annoying in the middle, you know,” Mary said casually, pointing her finger to the sprawled, dead body of Victor like it was a piece of trash cluttering her stage.

”What are you talking about? Disappear?” Aether frowned, trying to act normal... well, not sure how successful that was, because his mind was currently processing all the twisted shit unravelling before him, and none of it made sense.

Morgana blinked slowly, wiping the blood lazily from her face with her hand, smearing it across her cheek like paint, ”Sigh... man, he is good at this. He’s really, really good at keeping his cool in the middle of hell.”

Mary nodded eagerly, her grin splitting wider, ”Damn... really, I mean it... His acting would be on par with mine. That face, that struggle, it’s delicious...”

Morgana looked at Mary with a deadpan expression, ”Nope... your acting is the worst, you know! Absolutely terrible. Even a blind fool would see through it.”

Mary’s brows furrowed, her fists clenching tight. ”But he didn’t find it, right? That means I’m good enough!” she snapped back.

Morgana frowned deeper, ”Nope... your acting sucks. If it wasn’t for me slicing off that head at the exact moment, he would’ve seen through your half-baked, shocked expression. Honestly, it was disgusting... yuck. Embarrassing, really.”

”YOU BITCH!!” Mary roared, her voice breaking into a shriek as she suddenly lunged forward, her hands clawing around Morgana’s neck with furious strength.

Morgana grinned, her teeth flashing like a predator’s, eyes alight with a sick amusement. ”You suck, bitch... ahahah~” she cackled, even as she reached up and clenched Mary’s head, her nails digging and scratching into her scalp, drawing thin trails of blood as if she was combing through with claws instead of fingers.

Aether... utterly taken aback by the situation. He couldn’t comprehend what he was watching.

So, Mary and Morgana were acting as the same person?

Wait... if he remembered correctly... hadn’t Lia once said that she was playing with her aunt when Aqualina was kidnapped?

His eyes widened with sudden realisation. He raised his hand and pointed toward Mary, ”Then... it’s you who kidnapped auqa?”

Mary and Morgana, who were locked in their violent brawl, froze mid-clash. Their hands clenched harder for a second before both turned their heads toward Aether in eerie unison, their eyes blinking together.

”He found that too, sis!” Morgana chuckled darkly.

”Yeah, he has more brains than I thought... I wonder how they taste,” Mary whispered with a trembling delight as her tongue slid across her lips. She nodded as though approving of him, then banged her hand against the air as if drumming on an invisible table,

”Bam, bam! Yup, you’re correct. The one who kidnapped her... was me.” Her body flickered suddenly, her form warping—

—and Mary became Morgana.

Aether’s breath hitched.... Wasn’t she a Vampire?

She can change forms, too? Or... Morgana was giving something like what Nightfire gave to Aether.

”Haha... look at him, he’s shocked again. His face is priceless,” Morgana muttered.

Mary’s body shimmered back, ”I kidnapped her, and as I expected... to create a scent, a trail that would lead Dora here...” she paused, her eyes narrowing with a wicked smile, ”I killed a pitiful succubus on the way. Too bad... I feel almost sorry for her, you know... Almost~”

Aether blinked rapidly. He was surprised... yet the pieces began to fit. That... made sense after all.

So the reason she knew him back when they first encountered each other... that time... it had been Mary?

Morgana snorted sharply, ”But bitch... you’re the one who released her, aren’t you? Why the hell would you ruin your own little game?”

Mary blinked, then in an instant, she tilted her head, her eyes gleaming with innocence as she acted shy and sweet. Her slender fingers trembled at her lips, her voice dripping with a cuteness that was almost similar to Lia’s.

”I mean... it would be boring to just let her die like that. What fun is there in an ending without a show? After all... it was exciting to see Master get angry, wasn’t it?”

Morgana blinked for a beat before breaking into a grin that stretched unnaturally wide.

”Yeah... that face of his, so furious, so wild... ahaha! I’ve never seen him like that before. You really know how to keep things exciting, sis.”

Mary patted Morgana’s shoulder with a prideful expression, lifting her chin like a queen of madness. ”Of course. What else am I, if not the one who makes the game worth watching?”

Aether frowned, his voice trembling with restrained rage. ”So... you two... are playing as one.”

Mary blinked. Morgana tilted her head, their eyes locking with Aether’s at the same time. Both smiled in perfect sync, lips curving with predatory sweetness as they chimed together,

””Hehe... we are.””

Aether took a deep breath. He sighed as he walked forward, patting his cheek as if grounding himself, muttering low, ”Fuck, man...” His voice cracked into a growl.

”How fucked up you are... I should’ve thought of this before. You bitch... fuck yourself,” Aether cursed himself.

Mary and Morgana blinked at each other, their twisted expressions melting into brief confusion. For the first time, they seemed almost caught off guard, their brows furrowing in sync.

”What happened?” Mary whispered.

”Maybe he wanted to fuck you?” Morgana replied with a wicked grin.

Mary’s face twisted into disgust, her upper lip curling as if she had smelled something rotten. ”Eeeuu, don’t be ridiculous... I’m not interested in his dick like you are.”

”Oi! I am not interested,” Morgana snorted back, her cheeks faintly red despite her sharp denial.

Mary’s frown deepened, ”But didn’t you want to fuck him, huh? Bitch, it’s you who asked me to let you fuck him in the name of teaching!”

Morgana’s lips trembled, and a faint blush spread across her face. She turned slightly shy, eyes darting away, ”I mean... I... oh, come on, sis... how could you ask this out loud?”

Mary snorted, but the sly curve of her mouth betrayed her delight.

Meanwhile, Aether felt... everything. Literally everything. Every missing piece, every broken thought, every fucked-up puzzle... it all clicked into place now.

These two... fuck. They were the ones pulling the strings, the ones twisting the board around him.

The game had always been theirs.

Aether sighed, ”So... how did you find me?” he asked, his voice cold, as he reached down and picked his mask from Victor’s body, which had already begun turning into dust.

Morgana smirked, ”It was a pretty easy one... after all, Xara was the one who leaked the information.”

Aether’s eyes widened, ”Xara?”

Mary smirked, leaning in, ”I knew that bitch was acting weird ever since she left this place...”

”This place?”

Morgana smirked wider, ”Xara had been working under us...”

Aether’s face darkened. So all this time... the boss that Xara always talked about... had been Mary.

So Xara told them the truth? Just like that? Betrayal?

’No, no!’ Aether shook his head in disbelief.

Sure, she was a mess in her head... but she would never betray him. Never. There had to be something else.

They were playing with his mind.

Had he slipped somewhere? Left a trace? A single slip-up that gave them everything?

Lia? There was a possibility, but he did mention not to leak information.

Hmm...

Meanwhile, Mary leaned closer, whispering into Morgana’s ear, ”But I knew who he was even before all this.”

”Bitch, really?” Morgana’s eyes widened, genuinely surprised.

Mary winked cutly.

Morgana groaned, her lips curling. ”You could’ve told me that already, you know? Why the fuck are you playing around! You know how hard it was for me to sneak there!”

Mary giggled, ”I mean... it’s kind of exciting to watch you suffer and search. Ahaha... you looked like a cute girl chasing shadows, desperate for the truth, while I had it all along. Watching you chase nothing... it was amusing.”

Morgana’s lips twitched, ”Fuck you!”

”Oh yeah, you can fuck him, not me~ Hehe.” Mary’s eyes glowed, her gaze sliding toward Aether like a predator that saw not just flesh but everything deeper. Her smile sharpened, ”Hehe~ interesting.”

”Man... everything is messed up here,” Aether muttered with a tired tone. His head throbbed with second thoughts... dealing with this empire, dealing with Mary... everything felt like walking deeper into a maze of insanity.

He exhaled hard. ”Well, how about this? I’ll leave this place, and you and I... we’ll never cross paths again.”

He just wanted to finish this all!

Mary and Morgana raised their eyebrows at the same time, exchanging a look, then nodded with surprise.

But then—

Aether sighed, ”But we both know how messed up you are. You’re going to try and kill me right now, aren’t you?” He slid the mask onto his face, the click echoing like a trigger. His gaze locked on them, his grin jagged.

Mary and Morgana smirked back, their wicked smiles curling.

”I like him. He knew exactly what we were thinking”

”I too!”

But in an instant, their faces went flat, pure indifference replacing amusement.

”I hate him. He knew exactly what we are thinking”

”I too!!”

In the snap of a second, both Morgana and Mary swung their swords at Aether’s face, the blades cutting the air with murderous precision.

Aether crouched low just before impact. The clash detonated—

The entire throne room was pulverised into nothing as the wave of destruction ripped through it.

BOOOMMMMMM!!

A huge metallic red light exploded outward, bursting from the shattered place as everyone outside froze in shock and horror.
