Chapter 376 Soul Strength?

[Skill: Eternis Storage:- 0/1]

[Effect: Grants access to a personal pocket dimension bound to Your soul, allowing for the storage and retrieval of items at will.]

[Additional Benefits: The storage capacity is directly linked to your soul strength, expanding as the soulʼs power increases. Items stored are preserved in their original state, unaffected by time, temperature, or decay.]

[Limitations: Each use consumes a small amount of soul energy; excessive use may lead to soul fatigue. If your soul is damaged or destabilized, access to the storage may be temporarily lost. Initially, the storage is limited to items of a certain size and weight, but this capacity grows with the userʼs soul strength.

Enchanted, sentient, or soul-bound items may resist storage, and forcing them into the pocket dimension could cause a backlash, potentially harming your soul]

[Cooldown Time: Not required, but the skill requires sufficient soul strength to function effectively]

The rhythmic pounding of Lioraʼs paws against the forest floor echoed in Aetherʼs ears as he clung to her fur, the world around them a blur of trees and shadows... as Aether looked at the skill tab.

ʼItʼs really a most useful skill that every transmigrator wanted but... Soul Strength?ʼ he thought, brow furrowing. Shaking off the unease, he refocused on the Log:

ʼNope, no details about the soul,ʼ Aether thought with a shrug. His eyes drifted to Lioraʼs weapon, though he couldnʼt claim it, he knew what her desired weapon was. An amused smirk played on his lips as he imagined the possibilities, ʼWill I become like her?ʼ he wondered, picturing himself growing to 20 feet, bulky, a towering... titan!!

ʼHaha...ʼ Aether laughed inwardly.

Then He decided to test his skill, pulling a small coin from his pocket.

Ssh!

With a mere thought, it vanished from his hand.

Aether grinned as the coin disappeared, satisfaction swelling within him. His skills felt natural, almost instinctual as if all he needed to do was think...

Ssh!

The coin reappeared in his hand, and his grin widened. But just as he was about to pocket the coin, a wave of dizziness hit him.

”H-H...” he stammered, his vision blurring. His body suddenly felt heavy, his limbs sluggish as if weighted down by an invisible force. Without warning, he collapsed against Liora, his consciousness slipping away.

ʼHe must be tired...ʼ she thought, a smile touching her lips. That night, he played very well that her whole itched his scent... No normal human would be able to do that!!

Her body shuttered in fear and excitement just remembering ʼBeastʼ that made her body hot... ʼI will suck every time~ʼ She licked her lips before running even faster!!

And soon...

.....

...

In the Principalʼs House

”Where have you been?” the Principalʼs voice was sharp, her eyes narrowing into slits as she glared at Victor, who stood before her, a picture of nonchalance.

Victor shrugged, his lips curling into a lazy smirk. ”Well, I was kind of busy,” he said, his tone deliberately casual.

The Principalʼs lips twitched, a low growl rumbling from her throat, her frustration barely contained, ”You know... Kennedyʼs Laboratory... is empty,” she said.

Victor blinked, his brow furrowing in confusion. ”Okay...” he drawled, trying to piece together what she was hinting at.

The Principalʼs lips twitched again, more violently this time, as if her control was slipping. Her eyes bore into his, searching for something.... some crack in his facade.

Victor felt the weight of her gaze, a cold sweat prickling at the back of his neck, ”D-Donʼt tell me youʼre doubting me?!” he blurted out, his voice rising in disbelief, ”The only person who saved the students from danger, who risked everything to kill that hideous monster—and YOU!!..... youʼre doubting..... me?!”

His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of outrage and hurt swirling within him. He had given everything and nearly lost his life, and this was how he was repaid?

This was wrong!!

He was innocent!! He wasnʼt the one who meddled.... Only Aether did that!

Not VICTOR!!

He shook his head in a painful expression, ʼHow could she ever doubt me?ʼ he thought as he looked at her hurtful expression.

Yet,

The Principalʼs gaze didnʼt waver; if anything, it grew more intense, more penetrating, ”Then what about Kenleyʼs spider armour that a few students have been talking about? I didnʼt see anything like that on her body when we arrested her,” she said, her voice low and heavy, laden with suspicion.

”Spider armour?” He had an incredulous expression, ”What the heck is that? Theyʼre talking nonsense because of fear... You shouldnʼt take their words seriously,”

The Principalʼs frown deepened, a shadow crossing her features. Her eyes locked onto his, searching, probing. For a moment, she seemed to waver....

With a heavy sigh, she finally relented, her shoulders slumping slightly, ”Anyhow,” she muttered, the fight draining out of her voice, ”Weʼre leaving soon.”

Victor arched an eyebrow, his interest piqued, ”Hmm? Where?”

The Principal with a small smile as she leaned back, ”To the Pyra Empire.”

”Oh!” Victor nodded slowly, processing the information then asked, ”When?”

”Now!”

”.... Pardon?”

”I mean tomorrow morning,” she clarified, her tone turning brisk and authoritative. ”Weʼre leaving, so get ready.”

Victorʼs frown returned, deeper this time, ”What about the academy?” he asked, his voice edged with concern.

The Principalʼs gaze softened, a hint of reassurance creeping into her eyes, ”Delphine and the others will take care of it,” she explained, her voice gentler now.

Victor wasnʼt entirely convinced, ”Why so urgent? We could leave after the renovations are done, right?” he pressed.

The Principal shook her head, her expression turning serious once more, ”Something happened there, Victor. Something that requires our immediate attention. We canʼt afford to wait.”

Victor frowned, his mind churning with possibilities. Something happened? What could be so pressing that they had to abandon the academy so suddenly?

ʼWell, Iʼll deal with the auction later...ʼ he thought, nodding to himself. He was just about to leave when the Principalʼs voice called him back.

”Oh! I forgot one thing,” she said, making Victor freeze mid-step, ”You know, as an Elite student, youʼre required to have an attendant...” she added.

Victor turned to face her, ”Thereʼs no need...” he said, his voice flat.

The last thing he needed was an attendant. He was already juggling too many secrets, constantly changing his costume, hiding his true identity. An attendant would only complicate things.

The Principal sighed, ”As much as Iʼd like to agree with you, Victor, the rule is clear. An Elite student must have a servant or attendant,” she insisted, her tone brooking no argument.

Victor sighed in turn.

Why was she bringing this up now?

He was just about to argue further when the Principal turned her head towards the stairs and called out, ”Come, Kyra!”

.....

...

Meanwhile, somewhere in the academy...

”Bitch! Tell me what happened!! Did you sleep with him?!” Maelonaʼs voice was like a whip crack, slicing through the tension in the air. She stood before Liora in a dimly lit storage room, her posture rigid with barely controlled fury.

Liora didnʼt flinch. Instead, a slow, wicked smile spread across her lips, her eyes gleaming with amusement.

She revelled in the anger, the jealousy radiating from Maelona like heat from a fire.

Maelonaʼs lips twitched, ʼThis infuriating woman!ʼ she thought, her teeth grinding together. She knew.... she fucking knew--that something had happened. There was no way this shameless woman would keep her paws off her son-in-law!!

Liora leaned in closer, her smile widening as she took in Maelonaʼs seething rage. ”Why are you so angry in the first place?” she asked, her tone mocking, her eyes glittering with challenge. ”Itʼs not like heʼs your husband, right?”

”H-Huh?” Maelona stammered, momentarily thrown off balance by the question.

Lioraʼs grin turned predatory, ”Even if I slept with him, it should be Aira—your daughter—whoʼs angry, not you!”

Maelona felt a sharp pang in her chest, ”Itʼs because itʼs my daughterʼs future, bitch!!” she snapped, her voice trembling with a mixture of rage and desperation.

Liora shrugged, her nonchalance infuriating, ”So?”

Maelonaʼs fists clenched at her sides, her nails digging into her palms.

She knew this insane woman wouldnʼt care about anything she said! Her words would just bounce off Lioraʼs impenetrable ear just like her body!!

Lioraʼs eyes sparkled with malicious delight as she delivered her parting shot. ”Think what you want... but without proof, you canʼt blame anyone~” she taunted, her ass swaying provocatively as she turned to leave, her movements slow and deliberate~Left~Right~

Maelonaʼs nostrils flared, her anger reaching a boiling point. ”Fatty!!” she spat, the insult laced with venom.

Liora chuckled, ”You missed your chance~” she called over her shoulder, her words cryptic and unsettling, before she exited the room.

Maelona stood there, trembling with fury, her mind racing. She would find out the truth... no matter what it took. She would go directly to her son-in-law and ask him herself!

....

....

Meanwhile...

After getting the new task, Aether made his way towards the infirmary, his thoughts a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.

Kyra as his attendant?

He still couldnʼt wrap his head around it. It wasnʼt just about the rule that mandated an Elite student to have a servant; it was about Kyra herself. A commoner. This could be life-changing for her, offering her privileges sheʼd never had before.

But for him, it was another layer of complication he wasnʼt sure he could handle.

ʼFocus on the task at hand!ʼ Aether told himself as he approached the infirmary door. His hand hovered over the handle for a moment, hesitating, ʼI hope sheʼs calmed down...ʼ he thought, before slowly pushing the door open.

Inside, the room was bathed in a soft, golden light, the kind that made everything seem peaceful, almost surreal. Helena lay on the bed, her breathing even, her face relaxed in sleep. There was no one else in the room, not even the old lady who usually kept watch. Aether swallowed hard, his throat dry. ”H-Helen—” he began, his voice barely above a whisper.
