Chapter 369 Liora Darkfang... A Born Warrior!

Liora Darkfang was born a warrior in her Darkfang tribe!!

While other women would love strong males and mate with them to produce more powerful offspring... Lioraʼs heart pounded for something far more exhilarating…

The clash of steel!

The rush of adrenaline!!

The intoxicating scent of victory!!!

Fighting was her passion, her purpose, the very essence of her being.

The idea of mating with the sweaty, boastful males of her tribe repulsed her.

Their desire to dominate only ignited her disdain. They wanted her to submit, to fulfil a womanʼs role, but Liora had no interest in submission.

Her soul belonged to the thrill of combat, and nothing could tear her away from that.

Not even the promise of power!!

She could have given her life for the fight, so deeply had she fallen in love with the battlefield, where every strike was a dance, and every wound was a testament to her strength.

But Liora was no mere warrior; she was noble, the direct and only descendant of the Darkfang tribe, bearing the weight of legacy on her shoulders.

Yet, in this tribe that revered strength, the ancient rules were a chain around her neck. As a woman, she was forbidden from holding a position of true power, her destiny reduced to producing offspring..... her only duty, they said.

But Lioraʼs heart burned with fury at the way her tribe diminished her, treating her as nothing more than a vessel for the next generation.

They underestimated her, and that was their first mistake!

”I AM NOT A WEAK WOMAN!!!”

Her voice had once thundered through the tribeʼs sacred meeting grounds, her words a battle cry that shook the earth beneath her feet. It was during that fateful gathering that she unleashed her rage, slaughtering the strongest men who dared to court her, who believed they could tame her with their might.

She killed them all, with no more mercy!!

”Tsk, see, this is who I am!!”

Her words were low, and dangerous, a growl that rippled through the air as she stood over the lifeless bodies of those who had underestimated her.

Her rampage sent shockwaves beyond her tribe.

The High-Elf tribe..... Maelonaʼs tribe could no longer ignore the chaos, inorder to maintain the Empire, They came and forced her to stop.

Darkfang tribe to preserve the bloodline with the help of the High-Elf tribe, forced Liora into a marriage with one of her own family members.... a fate that only deepened her hatred.

The High Elves were already their enemies, but now the flames of animosity roared even higher.

Bound by the ancient laws, Liora couldnʼt kill her so-called husband, though every fibre of her being longed to tear him apart.

Instead, she turned him into her punching bag, a pathetic tool for her rage, never allowing him to control her or her tribe. She alone would rule, she alone would command, and she would never submit to anyone.

But there was one she couldnʼt defy.... Alaric, the Arcane King, whose Level was far beyond hers. His presence kept her fury in check, though it simmered beneath the surface, waiting for the moment it could explode… until one day, when she witnessed something extraordinary.

A boy… a weak, unassuming boy, playing a dangerous game against the second-strongest entity in their empire.

Her eyes narrowed as she watched him, this fragile creature who dared to challenge forces far beyond his strength. And yet, he did not falter.

This boy—this child—defied the very laws that bound her, risking everything to save his beloved Aria.

For a single woman, he had turned their ancient law upside down!!

”Damn boy~” Lioraʼs voice was a whisper of astonishment, her eyes wide with disbelief. She had never imagined, not even in her darkest dreams, that someone so seemingly powerless could dance in flames... A single mistake might let it consume him, letting it burn not just him but everything he was.

At first, she was merely curious. But when she saw him fighting her husband... a man who could hold his own against her for a mere ten seconds, an eternity by the tribeʼs standards..... her curiosity deepened. That boy didnʼt just fight… he obliterated her husband, grinding his face into the dirt.

Her curiosity transformed into something more potent, an interest that began to stir in her chest.

And with her husbandʼs defeat, she seized the opportunity to rid herself of him once and for all.

She challenged the boy, expecting a fleeting thrill, a moment of amusement as she tested his mettle. But to her horror… and her delight… he made her bleed.

A weak boy made her bleed!!

It was unthinkable, impossible, and yet there it was.... her own blood, spilled by his hand.

No one had ever done that before. Her skin, as tough as dragon scales, had never been scratched by any in her tribe, not even when she held back her powers. Yet this boy, this seemingly insignificant boy, had drawn her blood.

The interest changed into amusement as it sparked in her, a flicker of excitement she hadnʼt felt in years. She wanted to see him more, to understand him...

But then… during their fight, she saw something.... something that changed everything. The man standing before her wasnʼt just a boy anymore; he was like a blazing fire, a force of nature that could not be contained. His eyes, those dark, intense eyes, held a wickedness that mirrored her own.

ʼHe is like me…ʼ she thought, the realization hitting her like a bolt of lightning. This man… No, He was Aether!

Her fascination with him deepened, turning into a primal urge. She wanted to see more of him, but more than that… she wanted him.

For the first time in her life, her instincts roared with the desire to be claimed by him, to be painted with his essence.

Never did she think she would think that!!

The once she thought disgusted and disdain... now she wanted!

But it didnʼt end there....

The more she watched him, the more she studied his every move, the more she began to see his true nature.

His strength was undeniably growing, but it wasnʼt just his power that captivated her.

If all it took to win her heart was strength, then what about Alaric, who was the second strongest in their empire?

It was his will.... his unyielding determination to push forward, to face death head-on without a shred of hesitation!

And... There was something else, something deeper she couldnʼt quite grasp, but her instincts told her it was there, that it was what made him different from the others..... Aether never looked down on her. Unlike Alaric or her late husband, he stared into her eyes with an equal gaze, with respect, with understanding.

And in that gaze, Liora found something she had never sought before.... a connection, a bond forged not in blood, but in fire.

Liora had witnessed Alaric simping over the Principal countless times, a sight that filled her with disgust.

It was the worst thing she had ever seen in her life!!

Even more unsettling was the strange feeling she got whenever she was around him. There was something off about Alaric, something she couldnʼt quite put into words. Just as she had a knack for sensing the nature of people, she sensed something peculiar about him. It wasnʼt entirely good or bad… just odd.

But none of that mattered as much anymore. Slowly and surely, Aether had found his way into her heart...

His tender actions made her heart race, a sensation she wasnʼt used to.

His sweet love stirred something within her, making her body feel strange yet… happy!

His gentle yet confident smile set her cheeks aflame with a heat she couldnʼt control!!

And those wonderful gifts, along with the heartfelt letters… they made her heart and flower tremble with love and anticipation. Each token of affection chipped away at her defences, leaving her vulnerable in a way she had never known.

Liora, who had never known love before, now felt something new, something powerful. She was being loved… and she felt her own love for him growing in response.

She didnʼt care what position she held in his heart, whether she was the first, the second, or the last..... Because to her, love was another battle, and... She should win!!!

She was ready to face anything or anyone that stood in her way!

But despite this newfound sensation, something nagged at her… Her love for fighting was still overwhelming, even more powerful than her feelings for Aether. Read new adventures at empire

She was born a warrior, and she couldnʼt imagine loving anything more than the thrill of battle…

Yet, her heart betrayed her. It longed for Aether more than for the fight.... And she didnʼt like that.

She didnʼt want that.

She hated how her body and heart seemed to be at war with each other, pulling her in two directions at once.

So, instead of mulling over these conflicting emotions, she made a decision. She would confront it head-on, as she had always confronted everything in her life.... with strength and determination.

And now...

”Are you accepting defeat, Liora Darkfang?”

The words were spoken with a cold, emotionless indifference, the voice echoing through the empty, dark forest.

Liora, now in her massive wolf form, was bleeding heavily, her multicoloured eyes locked onto the man before her.

A bloody man, standing tall with thousands of red, thin swords hovering in the sky above him. His fingers gently held the string of a white bow, poised and ready to strike.... without a hint of hesitation.

Liora growled, her resolve unshaken. She would never submit, not to anyone, not even to him. The thought alone was enough to make her blood boil with defiance.

But then the bloodied man smirked, his lips curling into a dangerous smile, ”Liora~ You made me bleed~” His voice was laced with seduction, a tone that sent a shiver down her spine.

She flinched, her fierce determination momentarily faltering as her eyes locked onto Aetherʼs. There was something in his gaze, something that made her heart race even faster. His eyes were filled with a deep, intense longing, a love that seemed to grow with every passing second.

The intensity of his stare, the raw emotion it conveyed, was almost too much to bear!!

Her wounded tail began to sway faster, betraying the turmoil within her....
