Multiple figures emerged from the trees.

There were ten of them this time... all wearing similar dark suits and black sunglasses, armed with short swords, daggers, and a couple carrying small crossbows.

Their leader, a scarred man with a nasty grin, pointed directly at Jake.

”You bastard. Because of you, I have gotten scolded.”

Then he turned his attention to Grace, his smile widening.

”...The Young Master missed you so much, you know. It’s time to go back where you belong, oh ’Princess’.”

Grace gasped in fear and pressed herself tighter against Jake’s back, her massive breasts squishing softly against him.

Her body trembled visibly.

”J-Jake... there’s too many...”

”...”

The calm Grace had helped him find moments ago vanished instantly.

Jake’s blood-stained hands clenched into fists as fresh adrenaline surged through his veins.

He gently but firmly pushed Grace behind him, shielding her with his body.

”Stay behind me,” he ordered in a low, dangerous voice.

Seeing the group, Jake decided to use his skill and activated his [Class Appraisal].

His eyes glowed faintly as he scanned the enemies.

[Ding!]

[Name: ??]

[Class: Fighter (Common)]

[Name: ??]

[Class: Fighter (Common)]

...

[Name: ??]

[Class: Bone Crusher (Rare)]

Jake’s eyes narrowed.

Most of the subordinates shared the same basic Common-rank Fighter class as his original Warrior class.

Individually, they shouldn’t be too threatening if they were around the same level as the man he had just killed.

But the scarred leader’s Bone Crusher (Rare) class made his frown deepen.

Just the name alone suggested a specialized, brutal close-combat class focused on raw strength and overwhelming power.

That guy looks like bad news... as even Jake’s instincts screamed in warning.

He quickly tried to upgrade his own class—

[Ding!]

[Upgrading Warrior class condition not met!]

[Required: 100 Gold Coins]

[500 Upgrade Points]

’Shit!’

Jake cursed inwardly.

He only had 450 Upgrade Points left.

He should have checked the requirements more carefully before spending points on his stats.

But even if he had enough points, he didn’t have 100 Gold Coins on him...

Just then, the scarred leader laughed mockingly.

”Big words for someone who only got lucky against one weakling.”

He sneered, then barked at his men, ”Oi! What the hell are you all standing around for?! Go! Take the girl alive and kill the fucker!”

””Yes, sir!””

At his command, five men charged forward at once, their movements coordinated and ruthless.

Jake’s eyes turned ice-cold..

He shoved Grace back toward the hatch with a firm push.

”Get inside and stay there!” he shouted.

Then he stepped forward to meet the attack head-on.

The first attacker lunged with a sharp stabbing thrust.

Jake twisted his body and slammed his fist into the man’s elbow with terrifying force.

CRACK!

The joint bent the wrong way.

The suited man screamed as his sword flew from his grasp.

Jake followed up instantly with a brutal elbow strike to the temple, dropping him unconscious.

Two more attackers charged in from the sides.

Seeing this, Jake grabbed the nearest one by the front of his suit and used him as a living shield, smashing him into his comrade.

Thud!

Both men stumbled from the impact.

Jake didn’t waste the opening and deliver a powerful kick that shattered one man’s knee with a sickening crunch, while a heavy punch to the other’s ribs sent him crashing into a tree, gasping for air.

’Three down...’

Jake’s eyes locked onto the remaining two.

But inside he was shock as he hadn’t expected himself to be this powerful.

Combining his real-world fighting experience with his upgraded stats and skills, he was handling the Common-rank Fighters with surprising ease.

...But the numbers were still overwhelming.

Just then-

The fourth man slipped through while Jake was occupied and slashed at his side.

Slash!

”Ugh...!”

Jake couldn’t dodge completely.

The blade carved a shallow but painful gash across his ribs, tearing his shirt open.

He grunted and retaliated with a vicious backhand.

BAM!

CRACK!

The sound of breaking bone echoed as the man’s jaw shattered.

He sprawled to the ground.

At that exact moment, the fifth attacker tried to flank him and reach for Grace.

Jake’s instincts flared.

He spun around and delivered a devastating punch straight to the man’s chest.

BOOM!

The suited man was lifted off his feet and slammed into the ground, coughing up blood.

Just like that, all five men were down.

But Jake wasn’t unscathed.

He stood breathing heavily, blood dripping from the fresh wound on his ribs.

His upgraded Strength had made a massive difference, allowing him to handle multiple Common Fighters with relative ease... but their coordination and sheer numbers were starting to wear him down.

Grace, still behind him near the hatch, had tears welling in her golden eyes as she watched Jake bleed.

”JAKE!”

She couldn’t bear to run and hide while he was hurt like this.

The sight of the wound and blood on his chest made her heart ache.

’Think...!’

Grace desperately tried to come up with a way to help, but she knew how weak her class was.

Not only would it fail to help, but it might even hinder Jake.

Tears spilled down her cheeks as she felt utterly useless.

For the first time, she truly hated how useless her trash class was.

Jake didn’t reply.

His focus remained locked on the scarred leader, instincts screaming that he was the real threat.

The leader, still standing back with the remaining four men, clapped slowly with a mocking grin.

”Not bad, kid. Not bad at all. But you’re already bleeding.”

He gestured lazily. ”How long do you think you can keep this up?”

The remaining enemies began circling, searching for openings, while the leader slowly stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.

”Go take the girl... I’ll handle this kid myself.”

With those words, the scarred leader suddenly vanished.

”...!”

Jake’s eyes widened as his instincts screamed in alarm.

He hurriedly crossed his arms to guard—

But the leader’s smirking face already appeared right in front of him.

With terrifying speed for his size, he lunged forward, his fist glowing with a faint reddish aura... the signature of his Bone Crusher class.

”Die, you little shit!”

BOOM!

The punch came like a cannonball.

Jake barely managed to raise his arms in time to block it.

CRACK!

The sickening sound of bone cracking echoed from...

...Jake’s arms.
