The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 377: Chapter 377: I Confess

Huangfu Jinxuan murmured, ”It seems like it!”

Huangfu Jingchen coolly continued, ”Nanxia Law Code, Page 23, Article 2: Forcing others to offer bribes in the form of money, children, or their bodies—dismissal!”

Yu Shikui immediately responded, ”No such thing!”

Huangfu Jinxuan stifled a laugh, feigned a serious look, glanced at Yu Shikui, then at Kong Tixin, and said somewhat awkwardly, ”Do you mean to say, Prefectural Governor Yu, that you weren’t coerced by County Magistrate Kong?”

Yu Shikui nearly ground his teeth to pieces. He was still aching in unspeakable places, and he swore that once he escaped this awkward situation, he would make Kong Tixin pay dearly.

But for now, he had to suppress his anger and said, ”Never happened!”

Huangfu Jinxuan then looked at Kong Tixin: ”County Magistrate Kong, were you coerced by Prefectural Governor Yu?”

Kong Tixin shook his head like a rattle-drum, not daring to look Yu Shikui in the eye. He weakly said, ”Never happened!”

As long as they weren’t coercing each other, these clauses of the Nanxia Law Code wouldn’t apply to them. They just needed to resolve the current predicament, and then think of a way to appease Prefectural Governor Yu.

Initially, he used a beauty to please Prefectural Governor Yu, hoping to smooth his future career path, especially after offending Shang Jingwang, who had the credit for Wangshan Town’s success and a commendation from the Holy Decree, putting him on edge.

But Prefectural Governor Yu was Shang Jingwang’s superior, so if he managed to curry favor with Prefectural Governor Yu, why fear Shang Jingwang?

Who would have thought that flattery shot wide of the mark?

He couldn’t understand how he suddenly became so muddleheaded.

Both he and Yu Shikui were now thinking the same thing: use personal matters as an excuse to quickly dismiss these people, and figure out how to make amends after they leave.

Huangfu Jinxuan said with some disappointment, ”So you both agreed voluntarily, huh?”

Yu Shigui quickly said, ”Voluntarily!”

Kong Tixin, not wanting to be left behind, eager to make amends for his mistakes, quickly added, ”Voluntarily!”

Now that this rascal of a Second Young Master knew they volunteered, he should wisely leave and stop disturbing them. That way, they could immediately deliberate on a strategy for dealing with the impending public ridicule.

Huangfu Jinxuan’s face suddenly darkened, and he said sharply, ”Well, Prefectural Governor Yu, County Magistrate Kong, the epidemic in Wangshan Town hasn’t been fully contained, yet the two of you are gallivanting about shamelessly like this. Do you have any regard left for the dangers of the epidemic? Or for the people of Wangshan Town? Voluntary, my foot! I may be a rascal, and shameless deeds I’ve done plenty, but not as shameless as you! Two grown men rolling together, a disgrace to decency, makes my eyes burn! Grab them, grab them, until you soil yourselves, or I won’t deserve the rascal label!”

Wei Jun, holding the wine, had his hands free, and he followed Huangfu Jinxuan’s orders, immediately going to tie them up.

Huangfu Jinxuan kicked Zhou Mu in the rear: ”What are you dawdling for, tie them up!”

Xiong Wu remembered that as the Imperial Envoy Guard Captain, he too should listen to the imperial envoy’s orders, and hurried over before Huangfu Jinxuan kicked him as well.

The three of them were quite skilled; dealing with two scholars was as simple as tackling two plucked chickens. They quickly subdued the two, and without ropes, it wasn’t a problem since Yu Shikui still had a bedsheet wrapped around him.

They cut the bedsheet into strips with their swords to use as makeshift ropes.

Yu Shikui and Kong Tixin were bound before they even realized what was happening.

It wasn’t clear if it was Wei Jun’s twisted sense of humor or if all three shared the notion, but they tied Yu Shikui and Kong Tixin’s hands and feet. Already bare without a stitch of clothing, they lay naked on the bed, their faces ashen.

They knew this was extremely shameful in front of others, but with their hands tied behind their backs, they couldn’t cover themselves and could only lie facedown on the bed.

Huangfu Jinxuan, without any courtesy, jumped onto the bed and began punching and kicking them.

The two let out heartrending screams, like the wails of ghosts, truly tragic.

Huangfu Jinxuan cursed while hitting, ”You even lay hands on men, burning my eyes! You burned my eyes, so I’ll ruin you!”

”Two filthy men getting together, where’s your decency? I’ll beat it out of you!”

”Long Yang, Long you damned Yang, I’m going to have styes because of you!”

...

Shang Jingwang and the others were utterly flabbergasted, watching Huangfu Jinxuan’s carefree brawl, with pleasure written all over his face, looking nothing like an imperial envoy.

Finally, Kong Tixin, unable to endure any longer, yelled, ”I was wrong, I was wrong... it was an accident, we two men didn’t plan on getting together, we were supposed to capture Xia Wenjin...”

As he finished, his voice suddenly stopped, clearly realizing in his panic that he shouldn’t have mentioned that name.

But he shouted so loudly, everyone heard.

Huangfu Jinxuan had already figured out most of the truth, stopped what he was doing, jumped off the bed, and narrowed his eyes: ”You were supposed to capture Xia Wenjin?”

Kong Tixin’s face turned pale, shaking his head repeatedly, fearfully saying, ”No, no, no, I misspoke, nothing like that, not at all!”

Huangfu Jinxuan extended a hand to Wei Jun: ”Knife!”

Wei Jun handed over a short knife without hesitation.

Huangfu Jinxuan played with the knife, its blade gleaming coldly as he aimed it at Kong Tixin’s eyes, his gaze vicious: ”Speak the truth, or I’ll gouge out your eyes one by one!”

How could Kong Tixin dare speak?

Previously, Huangfu Jinxuan had punched and kicked them, claiming it was because they shamelessly got together as two men, which had prompted him to blurt out the truth.

A fierce gleam flashed in Huangfu Jinxuan’s eyes, and the blade of the short knife was already close to Kong Tixin’s eye, even piercing the eyelid, causing a wave of pain. If he lost an eye, he would never hold office again, as a blind man couldn’t be an official.

He hurriedly said, ”I’ll speak, I’ll speak!”

Yu Shikui angrily shouted, ”Shut up!”

Huangfu Jinxuan rushed forward and kicked Yu Shikui several times, kicking him until he passed out, then spat, ”Filthy swine in a filthy trough, I’ve had an eye on you for a long time! And you still don’t know to shut your mouth!”

He beamed with pleasure, clearly feeling very good! Finally having a legitimate reason to beat someone, both relieving his anger and fully enjoying it, haha!

Without Yu Shikui’s interference, the thoroughly frightened Kong Tixin spilled everything, from how he noticed Yu Shikui’s indecent intentions toward Xia Wenjin, how he plotted against Xia Wenjin, how they drugged the wine, how they arranged for the sedan bearers to bring her here... everything was spilled out like beans from a bamboo tube. ℯℯ𝑙.

When he finished, the people present were filled with rage, even Shang Jingwang couldn’t hold back, rushing over to slap him several times, cursing, ”Beast!”
