I'm Ecstatic About Transmigrating Into a Novel As the Villainous Empress's Follower

6: Section 6Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he charged at Cao Yang once more!

However...

He was once again met head-on by that woman with the explosive figure.

”Get lost!”

Ye Chen roared.

Spitting out a mouthful of heart’s blood, he used a secret technique to forcefully boost his combat power for a short time.

With a single strike, he actually held his own against Xue Ying!

Xue Ying’s cold brows furrowed slightly; she didn’t dare to be careless.

She might not care about Cao Yang’s life, but she couldn’t ignore the Empress’s decree.

In the next instant.

Xue Ying struck with all her might.

Her cultivation was already higher than Ye Chen’s, and she was proficient in various combat arts. With killing intent in her heart, even though Ye Chen had forcefully increased his power, he began to gradually fall into a disadvantage.

*Slash—*

As one’s strength waned and the other’s waxed...

Ye Chen’s strength gradually failed him. In a moment of carelessness, Xue Ying’s dagger sliced across his thigh, and a crimson wound appeared!

*Slash—*

Immediately after, another slash!

Who was Xue Ying?

She was one of Empress Wu Mingyue’s four most trusted Female Officials and the Commander of the Hidden Guards, specializing in assassination.

As an assassin, once she found a flaw, she would unleash a continuous onslaught of killing intent, crashing down like an overwhelming tidal wave!

Three slashes,

four slashes,

five slashes...

Within just a few breaths, dozens of wounds covered Ye Chen’s body.

Seeing that Ye Chen could still fight even in such a situation...

Cao Yang found it to be a real eye-opener.

It’s only because this kid is the Protagonist.

He has a lot of health.

Anyone else would have bled to death long ago!

*Bang—*

Suddenly.

The sound of an explosion echoed as smoke rose.

Amidst the rising white smoke, a streak of light flashed, fleeing rapidly toward the outside of the Pingyang Marquiss Residence.

In the blink of an eye...

...only Xue Ying remained in the courtyard.

Ye Chen had escaped!

Cao Yang’s gaze narrowed slightly, though he wasn’t particularly surprised.

No matter what...

...Ye Chen was, after all, the Son of Providence.

If he were finished off this easily, could he still be called the Son of Providence?

However...

...on the surface...

...he looked at Xue Ying with a face full of feigned anger. ”You actually let him escape?”

Xue Ying’s expression was unsightly.

She explained, ”He had an Escape Talisman from a Martial Venerable Expert.”

”I didn’t expect the legendary ’Empress of Slaughter’ Xue Ying to be so useless. I will report this truthfully to Your Majesty.”

Cao Yang snorted coldly.

Then, his tone shifted.

His gaze landed on Xue Ying’s stunningly long legs, looking a bit greedy. ”Unless...”

”Suit yourself.”

Xue Ying was completely indifferent. ”I will also report truthfully to Your Majesty exactly what kind of villain you are.”

Hey!

Threatening me now, are we?

Cao Yang was amused.

She had personality; he liked that!

However, as the Empress’s favorite official, he acted in a perverse and eccentric manner.

By now, everyone in the imperial court and even the vast Imperial Capital knew that Cao Yang was a villain!

But...

...the key point was...

...the Empress needed him to be such a villain...

File a complaint?

Go ahead and try!

”Who’s afraid of whom?”

”At worst, we’ll just hurt each other!”

Cao Yang tilted his nose to the sky, playing the part of a smug villain to the fullest.

”Don’t worry, I’m going right now.”

Xue Ying couldn’t be bothered to engage in a war of words with him.

She turned to leave.

”That Ye Chen is heavily injured; he won’t be a threat to you for a while...”

”Stop right there.”

Cao Yang called out to her, his nose still in the air. ”You say he won’t, but what if Ye Chen doubles back?”

”If something happens to me, how will you answer to Your Majesty?”

”Then what do you suggest?”

Xue Ying turned back and looked at him coldly.

”Stay right here and don’t leave my side. Act as This Marquis’s Guard for the night!”

Cao Yang gave an arrogant snort.

Then he walked into the room and slammed the door shut with a bang.

Immediately following that...

...the sound of Ye Liuli’s delicate sobs echoed from inside.

”A villain getting his way!”

Xue Ying grit her teeth.

Cold as her personality was, she couldn’t help but feel angry.

She really didn’t know why Your Majesty would favor such a treacherous villain!

Inside the room.

Cao Yang sat boldly on the edge of the bed, looked at the beauty before him, and smiled. ”Young Miss Liuli, I have kept my promise and spared Ye Chen’s life.”

”Thank you, Marquis.”

Ye Liuli didn’t know the truth.

Coupled with hearing Cao Yang constantly urging Ye Chen to flee earlier...

...she believed that Cao Yang had truly schemed to let Ye Chen escape with his life.

She was incredibly grateful at that moment.
