Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 2344: Chapter 2353: He Will Be Leaving for a While

”Alright.” The waiter took the order and walked away.

He turned his head and said to Enna Clark, ”Coffee can make you drunk easily, it’s better to drink orange juice.”

”...” Enna’s forehead was practically covered in speechless lines.

Coffee can make you drunk? That’s the first time she’s heard this.

But Bobby sat leisurely in his seat, completely unaware of being a third wheel, looking relaxed and calm.

He even picked up the lemon water on the table and started drinking.

As he drank, he squinted his eyes with satisfaction.

Coffee indeed can make you drunk easily.

Look at those melodramatic soap operas, aren’t many of the male and female protagonists’ feelings elevated after meeting for coffee? What does that tell you?

It tells you that coffee should not be drunk.

Drink too much, get the atmosphere right, and who knows what might happen?

He’s just nipping every possibility in the bud!

Enna Clark didn’t know what he was thinking. If she did, she’d definitely want to crack open his head to see what’s in a genius’s mind and delete all his collection of melodramatic soap operas.

However, with Bobby around, she wasn’t really alone with Lyle Westbrook, so she relaxed a lot and proactively asked, ”By the way, are you feeling better?”

Lyle Westbrook took a sip of coffee, and his complexion indeed looked much better, ”Yeah, I’m really sorry about that day. I seemed to have gotten a bit emotional, I heard I grabbed your wrist and hurt you.”

As he spoke, his gaze unobtrusively swept over Enna’s wrist.

Enna’s wrist no longer had any marks, the fair wrist looked extremely beautiful, ”Actually, it’s nothing, just a little mark. My skin’s a bit sensitive, so it looked scary, but it was fine after one night.”

”...How’s Gigi doing lately?” He changed the subject proactively.

Enna didn’t want to bring up that day either; it wasn’t a big deal, but she just felt like Bobby’s ears had perked up. Mentioning Gigi brought a noticeably tender smile to her face, ”She’s doing well, recently learning to paint, running around every day and nowhere to be found.”

”I can imagine her lively self.” Lyle’s handsome face also had a smile, then his deep mesmerizing peach blossom eyes fell on her, and suddenly he asked, ”How about you? Are you doing alright?”

He hadn’t expected her to get married so quickly, so fast that he didn’t even have a chance.

Just thinking about it felt like his heart was being stabbed hard, indescribable pain.

His gaze locked firmly on Enna, as if trying to absorb her. Those eyes were filled with overwhelming sadness, though he said nothing, it was almost spilling out.

Enna could only pretend she hadn’t noticed, and shrugged nonchalantly, ”I’m doing great too, seems like I’ve gained a pound lately. If I keep gaining, I’ll need to go on a diet.”

Her eyebrows and eyes carried a smile, her bright eyes more dazzling than stars.

Lyle’s peach blossom eyes took a deep look at her, and after a long pause, he finally said, ”Enna, I might have to leave for a while.”

”Where are you going?”

”To handle some family matters.” He didn’t want to elaborate, so he continued, ”While I’m gone, you have to be extra careful.”

”Especially be cautious of Oscar Group’s people.” He spoke very directly, ”I can’t tell you the exact reason, but just be extra careful around people associated with them. But don’t confront them directly, wait for me to come back and I’ll handle it.”
