Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1163: Chapter 1163: An Inexplicable Feeling of Unease Chapter 1163: Chapter 1163: An Inexplicable Feeling of Unease In the car, Enna Clark’s mood was still fluctuating. She finally made it back to the hotel within an hour. She steadied her emotions, got out of the car, and headed straight for the reception room.

The driver and Manager were still in the reception room. Seeing her arrive, the driver immediately greeted her, “Miss.”

“Yeah.” Enna Clark looked up at the hotel Manager, who was fidgeting anxiously, and said, “Let’s go.”

“Yes, yes.” The hotel Manager had been staring blankly with the driver for an hour and was already restless. He eagerly led her to his office, “All the employee records are in the drawers in my office. I need to compare the records and photos to confirm who it is.”

His office was located on the first floor of the hotel, around the corner. Upon entering, the hotel Manager wasted no time, pulled open the drawer, and found a thick stack of records.

“The person in the photo you showed me is wearing our staff uniform. Let me first check the list of staff who were working on the day of the KM Charity Dinner. Then I’ll find their photos for comparison. Just a moment.”

He efficiently sorted out several employment forms, flipped through them, and took out one, exclaiming with surprise, “Found it!”

“I knew her face looked familiar, but I couldn’t recall who she was. This person was newly recruited three months ago. Originally, she wasn’t qualified to help out yesterday, but we were short on staff at the last minute, so we had no choice but to let her help.”

Normally, the staff for the charity dinner are arranged and trained in advance. However, the piano of Princess Scarlett from Linton City broke, and she insisted that someone fetch her crystal piano from her home, leading to a sudden shortage of staff, and we had to find replacements urgently.

What happened?

Why is the First Young Lady of the Habsden Family looking for this person?

The hotel Manager wondered in his mind.

Enna Clark didn’t care what he was thinking. She took the employment form he handed to her and compared the photo on the form with one specially processed by Rhine’s Technical Department. At a single glance, she was certain that the person in the photo was the one she was looking for.

Enna Clark pursed her lips tightly and lifted her head, “Where is she, take me to her.”

“She should be on the day shift today, probably in the customer service room on the first floor.” In general, hotels with more than five stars will have a professional Housekeeper on each floor, and the place where the Housekeeper usually stays is called the customer service room. Guests can call the floor Housekeeper through the internal phone line, and the Housekeeper will come to the room to help the guests with various situations.

However, on the first floor…

An inexplicable sense of unease rose in Enna Clark’s heart.

“Take me there now!”

“Okay, please follow me.” The Manager didn’t know why she was in such a hurry, but didn’t dare to ask further, and quickly led the way. As they walked, he reassured Enna Clark, “The customer service room isn’t far from my office, so there’s no need to worry.”

Enna Clark’s lips tightened even more, and she picked up the pace involuntarily.

The hotel Manager hadn’t lied to her; the customer service room was indeed not far from his office, just around the corner in the hallway.

The hotel Manager pushed the door open and saw several young men and women in uniform chatting together in the 15-square-meter room.

On seeing them enter, the people jumped as if mice had seen a cat and quickly dispersed.

From time to time, they still stole glances at Enna Clark with guilty looks.

Could they have been talking about something related to her just now?

Enna Clark had no interest in these things. She scanned the room and did not see the female staff member from the photo.
