The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 35: Breathing Technique

ʼNo, thatʼs not possible. Unlike humans, Supernatural inherit their magic affinity from their bloodline, so thereʼs no way they can use other Supernaturalʼs magicʼ, Rex thought, shaking his head.

Rex then thought, ʼThe higher-ups have probably considered this possibility, but the most likely possibility is some kind of mutation of the sirenʼs magic that causes all of thisʼ

While Rex was in thought, ”HA!”

Rex jumped in surprise, Rosie startled him, ”What are you thinking hard about? Letʼs eat!”

He felt annoyed but looking at the food, he then gulped and started eating without even paying attention to the girls.

After eating, Rex wanted to go back to his room.

He thought that his level is not enough and his progress will be slow if he relies on a field test from the university like before, he decided he wanted to buy a breathing technique from the system.

The day already turned dark, Rex wanted to bid his goodbye and head back to his room.

Just as Rex wanted to say his goodbye, Laura holds onto his hand and gives him another brown handbag.

She then shyly said while avoiding Rexʼs gaze, ”Happy Birthday, It may not be much but I hope you like it”

Rex smiles, ʼShe remembers my birthday, so thatʼs why I coincidentally found her hereʼ

He then looks at the handbag and found a box in it, the box looks neat and lavish. He then opens the box and found a silver ring in it.

Laura then said, ”Itʼs a piece of battle equipment, it can enhance your physical abilities by 10%. Although itʼs not much, but I hope you like it”

”I like it! Thank you”, Rex said, he then tries to wear on the ring when suddenly his fingers started to burn.

Reading this Rex was shocked, ʼWhat the? I thought Silver didnʼt hurt me, what happened?ʼ

Rex forgot that he just turned into a full-fledged Werewolf, he smiles bitterly trying to hold in the pain.

Laura noticed Rexʼs stiff expression, she then asks worriedly, ”Rex, you okay?”

”Iʼm fine!”, Rex replied hurriedly, he then bids goodbye to the three of them and left.

Adhara on the sides chuckles, ʼThatʼs made of silver right? HAHA, thatʼs funnyʼ, she thought.

Laura reaches out with her hands but stops mid-way, she then turns to her back with a complicated expression.

Adhara approach her and said, ”Donʼt worry, I know for a fact that he likes your gift”

”You think so?”, Laura replied.

Adhara then nodded assuringly which makes Lauraʼs mood brightened.

Meanwhile, Rex is running towards the dormitory section.

ʼShit, Shit, Shit, Shit! It hurts!ʼ, Rex runs to his room with all his might, he is afraid that someone will notice him tossing the ring away if he takes off the ring now.

So he decided to run as fast as he can to his room,

While he runs past the lecturerʼs room, Rex saw a commotion happened there.

A crowd of students gather outside the lecturerʼs room, Rex can even hear someone is shouting inside while breaking stuff.

”WHY CANʼT YOU DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY?! HOW DID MY SON DIE?!”

”Calm down Sir, itʼs a regret that your son died during the field test but it is completely an accident”

”RANK THREE SKELETAL DRAGON?! THAT THING CANʼT POSSIBLY KILL MY SON!”

”WHO IS IT?! WHO KILL MY SON?!”

”You cannot make a scene here sir, If you have any complaints please meet with the principal. Weʼre only Lecturers here”

”USELESS BUNCH!”

BAM!!

The door opened and shut forcefully, a muscular middle-aged man storm out of the lecturerʼs room with clear anger on his face, his aura is leaking that gives immense pressure to the surrounding.

Based on his appearance, he is at least a rank-six Awakened or even higher.

The middle-aged man is wearing a red suit and tie, he excludes dominance and authority. On his chest lies a black tiger badge with a crown on top of it, it seems heʼs a master of a guild.

The middle-aged man storms out of the university with clear anger on his face, he left the university shortly after he got out of the lecturerʼs room.

The students outside started to gossip about the event,

”Is that the head of the Platchi family? Duncan Platchi?”

”Yes! It seems heʼs not going to accept his son death”

”I heard he reach late rank six, he then becomes the successor of Black Tiger Guild”

Rex hears the studentʼs conversation and frowns, ʼThatʼs Lucas Platchiʼs father? This is troublesome. If that Duncan Platchi sent out an investigation, he will surely found that Lucas died because I broke his neck before getting stabbed by the Skeletal Dragon. I need to be carefulʼ, he thought.

Arriving at his room,

BAM!!

Rex closed the door forcefully, he then grabs the ring on his finger and tossed it away.

”Aaahhhh..”, Rex moaned.

His finger turned a little black because of the ring, it also let out steam as if his finger is burning.

Rex goes to the bathroom and puts his burned finger on flowing water, it still hurts but not as much as before.

ʼThat hurt so much! What does it felt like when I didnʼt have a 25% immunity against silver?ʼ, he thought, Rex canʼt imagine the pain Werewolves go through if they got stabbed by a silver object.

He then sits on the bed and opens the system,

Rex then quickly goes to the Shop tab, he then searches the breathing technique and instantly many techniques appear.

He scans through the list of techniques and found the big line of it, ʼThereʼs many techniques with different grades, low, mid, high, and supreme. There are two types of technique, the first one is the Full-Moon technique, it is a breathing technique that will enhance the absorption of Lunar Blessing during Full-Moon which brings huge Exp and mutationʼ

He then thought a little and continue, ʼThe second is a basic moon technique, it is a versatile technique that can be used in any moon. Although it gives less Exp and a lower probability of mutation, it can be used every night so it is a plusʼ

After a round of thinking about the pros and cons, Rex decided to get the basic moon technique, ʼAlthough Full-Moon technique brings many Exp and Mutation, it only comes once or twice a month and thatʼs not what Iʼm looking forʼ

After decided on which types of technique, he then started to look at the price of low, mid, high, and supreme Basic Moon Technique.

ʼLow and Mid is affordable ranging from 1000 gold to 10000 gold, high and supreme is basically out of my pocket right nowʼ, Rex thought, he then looks at his current gold.

There is only 390 gold left in his pocket, he then looks at the exchange rate of gold to dollars and found a 1:100 ratio.

ʼI have about four hundred thousand dollars right now, if I convert it all into gold I get about four thousand goldʼ, after knowing his budget, Rex starts to search for a technique.

The basic Moon Technique differs from each other, thereʼs a technique that can cause the user to be able to use elemental magic and there are others that can cause mutation.

After summing up the affordable mid-grade technique, he got the following techniques.

Using this technique under the Lunar Blessing will give 300 Exp per hour of meditation, By chance, the user can also gain a mutation. The mutation will make the userʼs saliva contain healing properties.

Using this technique under the Lunar Blessing will give 200 Exp per hour of meditation, by chance, the user can comprehend earth elements and strengthen the userʼs body.

Using this technique under the Lunar Blessing will give 250 Exp per hour of meditation, by chance, the user can gain additional Mental stats and strengthen your will.

Rex fell into deep thought, each technique has its own pros and cons.

ʼWhat I need right now is leveling up, so that kick the Almighty Body out which has the lowest Exp per hour. The second thing I needed is mental stats to ready myself for the next Full-Moonʼ, He thought.

After deciding on his breathing technique, Rex converts $ 300,000 into 3000 gold.

The breathing technique costs 3300 gold,

Buying the technique left him with a 90 gold penny left in his pocket, Rex then summons the technique, and immediately a book appears on his hand.

The book is dark red in color, it has a wolfʼs head on the cover with a ʼRobust Will Breathing Techniqueʼ black-colored writing below it.

Then suddenly, a notification appeared in front of him.

Rex looks at it in surprise, he nodded his head feeling lazy about reading when suddenly another notification appears,

ʼWhat the? 90 gold is exactly what I have left in my pocket, this System is a damn scamʼ, Rex thought annoyingly before he pay the 90 gold he has left.

The red book on his hand transforms into a red light that zipped into his brain, Immediately after packed information about the breathing technique enters his brain.

Rex immediately understands the breathing technique,

He then left his room and headed to the rooftop, the breathing technique needs the user to be exposed to the moonlight.

On the rooftop, Rex found an empty seat near the fence where he used to sit.

The rooftop is more crowded than usual, some students just chat with each other, some lazily sitting around, some is playing with their elemental power, and some are smoking cigarettes.

But all of them have one thing in common, the gloomy vibe around them.

ʼIt seems University life starting to pressure themʼ, Rex thought before sitting on the bench.

He then asks the system, ʼWill there be any effect while Iʼm meditatingʼ

ʼThen that means higher technique will cause disturbanceʼ, Rex nodded his head before he recalls the breathing technique and start his meditation.
