Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 1565: Chapter 1565: He Just Needs to Relax

Chi Enen saw him relax, and she followed suit. If Li Beijue remained tense, she would be worried. Once she relaxed, she smiled slightly and quickly agreed, ”Sure.”

She added a few more pieces of pork belly to grill, and also placed a few shrimps beside them. After flipping them a couple of times, the vermicelli scallops started to bubble, releasing a seafood aroma mixed with garlic fragrance. Chi Enen checked to see if the scallops were cooked, and once she confirmed they were, she placed them on his plate and picked one for herself as well.

”Many reviews say that their vermicelli scallops are particularly tasty. I wasn’t sure, so I only ordered four. Try it and see if it’s good. If you like it, I’ll ask the waiter to bring more.”

”Vermicelli scallops?” It was Li Beijue’s first time trying them.

Seafood is typically considered Western food, and Western cuisine usually doesn’t bother with shellfish, let alone adding something as inelegant as garlic to the dishes, with the most common being jade snail.

This combination of vermicelli on scallops, topped with sautéed garlic paste and millet pepper, was new to him.

Li Beijue gave it a try. The vermicelli absorbed the seafood’s fresh fragrance from the charcoal grilling, and with the garlic paste and millet pepper seasoning, it enhanced the seafood’s flavor to the fullest. Additionally, the freshly grilled scallops were very hot, making them taste even better.

Li Beijue’s eyes brightened.

”Order some more.”

Chi Enen also tried it, confirming it was indeed delicious, ”Alright.”

She called over the waiter, ordered a large portion, and as the waiter brought over the drinks, she said, ”Later I’ll grill some vegetables, maybe an eggplant, to change the palate.”

Eating too much meat quickly becomes boring, so it’s essential to grill some vegetables to vary the taste.

”I want mushrooms,” Li Beijue didn’t forget to mention what he liked.

”Okay, I’ll tell the waiter when they come by our table.”

”Alright.” Li Beijue was engrossed in eating scallops. He seemed to particularly enjoy the spicy sauce here, and after finishing the vermicelli in the scallops, he even dipped the scallops in the sauce to eat.

It was Chi Enen’s first time seeing such an unconventional way of eating, but she didn’t dare to comment.

After all, Li Beijue’s approach was always unique, and there had never been a rule that scallops must be eaten with vermicelli.

Li Beijue hadn’t eaten anything today, and Chi Enen hadn’t eaten much either, so they were quite hungry.

She relaxed, grilled more items, and as they were done, she divided them onto the bossy man’s plate before starting on her own share.

The meal lasted more than an hour, and the dishes they ordered were almost all gone. Chi Enen, feeling full, paid the bill and naturally said to the equally satisfied man, ”I feel stuffed, Li Beijue. Let’s go for a walk to digest.”

Li Beijue knew she wanted him to walk. Since Huo Yi hadn’t called, and Chi Enen rarely took his arm actively, he didn’t refuse, ”Where to?”

”Nowhere specific, just a walk nearby to breathe some fresh air and digest. Otherwise, my stomach feels so uncomfortable,” Chi Enen said as she pointed to a busy area ahead with excitement, ”What’s going on over there? Let’s go check it out.”

As impulsive as ever, she took his hand and led him forward.

They arrived at a small square where a crowd had already gathered. Approaching closer, they realized someone was playing the piano and singing there.
