Madam Li's Identity Is Exposed Again!

Chapter 1536: Chapter 1536: Anxin Acting Like Nothing’s Wrong

”Where are you?” Chi Enen was worried about her.

Lin Anxin chuckled, sounding quite cheerful from the mobile phone, ”Where else could I be right now? If I leave the resort, I’ll be drowned in paparazzi at the doorway. I’m in my room, come find me.”

”I’ll be there in two minutes, wait for me.” She said, picking up the mobile phone from the table and hurried towards Lin Anxin’s villa.

Lin Anxin lived in the vacation villa not far from them.

She had barely reached the entryway when she heard Lin Anxin’s cheerful greeting, ”Enen, come quickly, the dishes are just done. If you come any later, everything will be cold.”

Chi Enen went in and found the living room meticulously organized, with no sign of her having just gone through a breakup.

However, the living room being so tidy in itself was ’abnormally too normal’.

Because Lin Anxin was never the type of person who liked to tidy up rooms!

And the living room was clearly cleaned carefully. Even the cushions on the sofa were placed neatly, with the corners all aligned!

Lin Anxin seemed very busy, shuttling between the kitchen and living room, holding a plate in her hand, ”Hurry up, I’ve set up a table on the balcony, I’ve got the chopsticks and bowls ready, just missing you.”

She didn’t show a trace of gloom or sadness, all smiles and laughter, looking no different from usual. Yet, Chi Enen felt an inexplicable pang in her heart. Without revealing it, she asked, ”Need any help?”

”Hmm...” Lin Anxin thought for a moment, as if remembering something, ”Oh right, Enen, help me bring over two wine glasses.”

”The goblets are in the refrigerator, I just bought them. Scald them with boiling water.”

Had she just gone out?

”Okay.” Chi Enen didn’t say much, and following her instructions, found the red wine glasses in the refrigerator, heated them with boiling water, dried them, and brought them to the balcony.

From Lin Anxin’s villa, the balcony also had a view of the sea.

At this moment, the waves were crashing one after another, the sea breeze bringing with it the scent of the ocean mingled with the fragrance of flowers planted in the resort, offering an indescribably comfortable and pleasant feeling.

Lin Anxin certainly knew how to enjoy herself. She set everything on a Japanese-style small table, with two very trendy oversized cushion sofas beside it. The light purple oversized cushions harmonized wonderfully with the wooden floor, looking extremely comfortable.

Chi Enen glanced at the table where red wine, sashimi, and what seemed like just-made Mapo Tofu were placed, and she couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth.

Red wine, sashimi paired with Mapo Tofu, this combination was truly... at whim.

Lin Anxin opened the wooden cork of the red wine, sat down, and called her over, ”Enen, hurry up and try out my cooking.”

She eagerly passed her the chopsticks, ”Here you go.”

Chi Enen followed her and sat cross-legged on the soft cushion. It was just as she imagined, very soft and particularly comfortable. She took the chopsticks Lin Anxin handed over, picked up a piece of Mapo Tofu to try. The tofu melted in the mouth, spicy and tingling, with a distinct sensation.

From the moment Chi Enen took the chopsticks, Lin Anxin had been watching her with expectant eyes, and impatiently asked after she took a bite, ”How’s the taste?”

Chi Enen gave her a thumbs up as a positive answer, ”Delicious. Tastes the same as before.”

”You wouldn’t lie to me, would you? Let me try it myself.” Lin Anxin immediately broke into a wide smile, pretending to give her a glare, then picked up some tofu herself. The taste was alright, about what she had expected. She sighed in exasperation, ”Just so-so.”
